Mailed my fathers fifty year old pen to this shop and LOVED the experience. My father had just passed and I was worried about losing the pen or having an improper repair. Not only was the quote about half of what I was quoted at another store (in NYC), it was an incredibly fast turnaround. I hope to never need another repair, but if I do this in the only shop I need to know!

I had an old fountain pen that belonged to my grandparents that needed repair. They were very reasonably priced, quick turnaround, and very helpful and knowledgeable.

I went in knowing very little about vintage fountain pens and got a beautiful lesson on the mechanics, purposes, and uses of them. The customer service was the best I've ever experienced! I'm excited to return to purchase a pen... or two. Thank you for an amazing experience!

Updated Review May, 21, 2024: I found out about Fountain Pen Recycler in April 2022 and have been ordering writing instruments and inks from them for over two years now. I visit the location in Plymouth, MN when I can and am amazed by the vintage inventory that is continually updated. I am inspired each time I visit not only by their selection but also by the time Mike takes to patiently teach me. In addition, I order quite a bit from them online and have 100% satisfaction with the numerous deliveries over these past two years. I once found a 1920s Conklin Crescent Filler at an antique store and brought it in to Mike for repair. The result was spectacular. Their repair service restores pens to new condition.
