This is a great place for quality used items on a budget. The volunteers here do such a great job and it is nice to see used items getting into the hands of people who can use them.

They are really helpful and joyful staff. They help with measuring the furnace to make de sure it fit in my car and help me load it into my car too.

Staff is always friendly, prices are excellent and are going for a good cause. The place is always packed with great finds and nice furniture. Inventory is always changing so go back often. The only thing you'll leave needing is a bigger house.

This is an excellent place to find good used furniture at very reasonable prices. Awesome staff and they deliver. Love this place

High quality, light-used furniture and very reasonable prices.  Customer payments or donations go to a church serving the local community.  Having just moved to MN from WA, we found quality furnishing for our home.

Thanks for visiting, Andrew! We agree, it gets very tight in that small space in the summer - our busy season. We can't wait until October - March when it slows down a quite a bit. It's more comfortable to shop with less people then also. For now, our customers with mobility challenges can always shop through Facebook lives or come to the shop - a volunteer would be happy to pull things for them to look over - we do it it often in the summer. It's a great place to shop for second hand furnishings. The only thing keeping it from five stars is that things are so tight that navigating it would be difficult for anyone with mobility challenges.

Every month they have one day where they give away furniture free. They had quite a bit of furniture outside in front of the store that anybody could have and most of it was in pretty good condition. Inside their store they had quite a bit of furniture and decorative items and kitchen items. Good selection of items and I would go back there again.

Lots of stuff packed into a little store. The workers were very nice.

Natasha, I'm so sorry about your experience! Noon on Saturdays does tend to be very busy, and December/January has much less for volunteers due to family holidays. We also recently had a big event for kids on a Saturday at noon, which may have compounded the problem, as well as the space we are in does not have accomodate a set apart receiving area. That being said, we do appreciate the time you took to bring items to us. We also offer Saturday pick up from the garage or outside, although there is a fuel fee for that option - but it does take less of your coordination and time. Thank you also for the work you do in keeping things out of landfills and matchmaking treasures with people. ❤️

Working two jobs, I wanted to hold on to my furniture donation until I could bring it to the Freshwater Furniture Depot.  Finally finding a small window of time around noon on a Saturday to bring in my items, I arrived and asked of the people in the receiving area what to do since I had never been there before.  The woman who answered me was upset, telling me this was their busiest time of day and that I was making things difficult for them.  I said this was the only time I could come in the last few months because I work a lot.  She went on to explain there is very little space and I would have a hard time bringing my items in.  An older gentleman then said they would open the big garage door and he would help me.  He too seemed annoyed with my presence and how haphazard the processes are there.  The whole thing left me feeling bad.  I had been telling people,  as I do assist in running a free items site where I work, about Freshwater's low and no cost furniture.  But I don't feel good about doing that anymore.  I don't want my families to experience the kind of interaction I did.  Maybe Freshwater can plan ahead and partner with other community organizations to remedy this problem of too many donations for their space.  It appears the volunteers would appreciate it.

The friendliest staff with all in this place and purchasing there items go twords the common good ... The person whom works there sold us a higher priced rug wrapped in plastic . When home my wife and i unraveled the rug and it was wet and smelled of mold . Not one returned phone call nor e-mail . Its good for nick nacks yet would never buy a high priced items . We took now a vintage rug and other high priced item huge financially lost waisted money spent . Yet still will purchase smaller item's there ... I urge everyone to look very close when buying rugs and furniture from this place so what happened to us will not happen to you

Thanks for your honest review!  We do have a stack of red baskets to use, in two places towards our entrance, and customers utilize our office to set items while they continue to shop all the time.  It does get cramped here, depending on the season - we are continually looking for a larger and cleaner space in the area.  Thanks for stopping by!

Cramped. No carts or baskets available to use while shopping. Dusty, dirty. Avoid. Although items are cheap, is it worth it?
