About This Store

Red Racks Thrift Store in Lee's Summit, Missouri is a unique thrift store that specializes in high-quality and designer merchandise, as well as an impressive selection of sports gear for local teams like the Chiefs and Royals.

According to customer reviews, the staff at Red Racks is consistently described as "friendly and helpful." One shopper, Celeste Davis, had an "unforgettably awesome experience" at the store, praising the manager for pricing an item she "was in love with" and the store's "BEST customer service EVER!!!"

Many customers feel the quality of the merchandise justifies the cost, even if prices can be "higher" compared to other thrift stores. As one reviewer, WJ Welch, explained, "I saw a very similar one last week at a different store for $50 and I picked up one here at Red Racks for $12! What a deal!" Another customer, L Thornton, defended the pricing, stating "I don't think anything I buy there is over priced to begin with."

Beyond the merchandise, Red Racks is praised for its mission to support Disabled American Veteran programs through its sales. As L Thornton expressed, "the best part is the money I spend there goes to help fund Disabled American Veteran programs. And there is not enough money in the world to pay these honorable men and women back for their sacrifice."

Customers describe the store as a hidden gem with "always a hidden gem to be found" and "cool items" throughout the store.

Staff was friendly and helpful!! Prices are higher, but they also sell higher quality items including designer. If you are looking for chiefs and royals gear, this is the place to go. They also have some amazing sales!!

I love thrift stores and there's always a hidden gem to be found. If you don't like the prices, don't buy it and keep looking. I see all the reviews on prices but I didn't see anyone in there being forced to buy anything! I found a big cooking pot I had been looking for. I saw a very similar one last week at a different store for $50 and I picked up one here at Red Racks for $12! What a deal! I also bought a pair of jeans for under $10 that are in like new condition. I will definitely stop in here again.

Carla made this an unforgettably awesome experience! There are always so many cool items here! I found the perfect most unique pieces with her help. She even got them untangled! Topped this night off with some the BEST customer service EVER!!! Thank you to the manager for pricing one of the items I was in love with, as well! This store ROCKS!

I am a frequent customer. I love this store not only because I usually find what I’m looking for, but the best part is the money I spend there goes to help fund Disabled American Veteran programs. I don’t think anything I buy there is over priced to begin with. And there is not enough money in the world to pay these honorable men and women back for their sacrifice. Overpriced merchandise? I don’t think so.

As an customer my experience as been nothing, but positive. The managment team were very nice, kind, compassionate, and empathy towards my situation. Helped me out with some items I needed for my dad's funeral. As an employee this store helps people like myself and many of our workers who are disabled. Have a hard time finding employment and work in othet places. Now, as for the dressing rooms. We don't have dressing rooms anymore due to thieved. People kept stealing from our stores and it got really bad. So tney done away with all our dressing rooms at all our locations sadly. Now I do deeply apologize to everybody for this inconvenience. A few bad apples out there that kept stealing from our stores. But anybody who chooses to give our store or any of our locations another chance. bring back your items, cloth items only that you choose to buy will give you store credit or we do what is called even exchange. But if you do buy any electronics from us my manager is a nice lady she is very negotiable very reasonable as well as my other bosses are. As long as you bring it back in within the 7 days she'll be willing to work with you maybe even give you store credit or exchange.

The 5 ⭐️’s are for the donations guys ONLY! Those poor guys need a better system… I seen one that looked like he was about to pass out from the heat & the other 2 were sweating to the point the things they were trying to get out the vehicles were slipping. All those coolers you guys have that’s overpriced, fill them up with ice & water and provide that for them. How about those ridiculously overpriced fans? Let those run for them. Appreciate your staff that’s outside. While the employees inside are being rude and irritated. How about switching positions? And let’s see how they can handle that…

Impressive Royals and Chiefs sections. Other sections were well stocked. Didn't end up buying anything so can't speak to customer service. The drop off looked easy and well staffed.

We had a great time browsing. Overall the experience is a good one, if not slightly over stimulating. The store was organized, and clean enough. Although I was surprised by the prices. I read the reviews and figured resellers were being whiney. But I agree the prices are high. We won't stop going, but we will dig for the deals.

It’s a thrift store not to much to expect , for a place that is mostly donations some items are just outrageous I seem to find 1-2 items a trip max but that’s what you expect, number 1 problem is no changing room as a thrift store it’s used clothes and you need to try on to tell and the bathrooms are a pain to get into as their is only some workers their and usually hard to find . Still a good middle of the road option.
