I love going here and looking around. I have to laugh and see what people are considering vintage and then asking myself, "When did I become vintage?" The store is always clean, the staff is friendly and the banter between the a staff is hilarious. Some of the prices are a bit high by that is not the store's fault but of the vendors. If you look hard enough you will find gems at a good price. When I am in Platte City, Missouri and have the time I stop in.

We came across WD Pickers when looking for an antique mall near Leavenworth, Kansas and are glad we did! Plenty to see, from antique jewelry and art to Pyrex, Fire King, military memorabilia, coins, primitive kitchen tools, and a great selection of cast iron skillets and cookware. Clean restrooms and there's even a little snack area in the front where you can take a break from shopping. The staff has been friendly each time we've visited and went the extra mile to help us look to see if our lost pair of glasses was accidentally set down somewhere in the store. We'll definitely be back.

If you're a coin collector, this is the place to go. There are tons of displays full of coins if you need 12 fill your collection. This is the place. We've also got all sorts of fun glassware and lots of different type of jewelry, they've got expensive jewelry and costume jewelry. They also got some sort of fun woodworking elements and sewing elements. It's just a good place to spend some time browsing.

We found one salt/pepper silver piece priced as a pair.... maybe a bit unique as the silver markings suggest. When it's partner could not be found in the locked case, the owners called the vendor to find out where the other piece was and the answer was "when we find it we will sell the pair." Being from out of town I offered to pay the full price for the one and if the owner found it or not then I could be sure I at least had the one (they had to call the vendor a second time - who agreed - of course). About a week later, I got a call from the owner who said they'd located the other matching item and was ready for me to let them know how to get it to me. I called back, all by voicemail exchanges, left my address to ship and then offered to pay the shipping. A few days went by and I called again to pay the shipping and the owner (Greg?) indicated he had it ready to ship and he refused the offer for me to pay the shipping... the box arrived yesterday. The owner said he wanted me to be satisfied, more than anything, so the cost was not his biggest concern. A great find, in a truly true antique store, with problem solving as the key, with good folks. This star should really be a 5+ (kind of like when you got an A+ in school maybe). Perfect. Just perfect.

Stopped here, wasn't expecting much. But wow, did this this visit pay off. For one, they've got a little something for everyone. I bought a nice grouping of straight razors, and the gentlemen there were great. Definitely coming here again.
