I went Value Village I was surprise of lots CLOTHES. Organized, short and long sleeved shirts I saw everything looking so.

I spent so much time here, there were so many pretty dresses!! I got so many nice things here! Will be back!

I've called a few thrift stores with a few questions today as I'm new to Charlotte and 95% of them have been rude and tell me, they don't know or they don't have time that I have to come in and see .(They were questions like do y'all sell tie's and what time do you all close I know to keep it short and sweet because I work in customer service) BUT when I called Carolina Thrift the girl that answered was super nice and answered all my question without hesitation. She restored some hope in me that there are still nice people that work and are happy to do their job. To her I want to say THANK YOU for being kind to me and to the management team THANK YOU for creating an environment that workers are happy in because good customer is so hard to find these days! I will definitely be in this afternoon. Thank you so much again 😊

Several rude workers however if you get past them you can find some wonderful bargains and some very good pricing on things that are very nice to have. For the past 3 days I've gone in there and for the past 3 days I've had bad service but you have to write it up to human nature. Some people just don't know how to act.

Great place to shop use and new things you can find most nice clothes  for the whole family   toys lamps most any things..

I'm glad I didn't focus on the comments here & I checked out this location, it wasn't high end but I was able to find a few nice items for myself. I'm giving 5 stars because my cashier was lovely, once I told her it was my first time at a thrift store she explained the discount process to me & welcomed me back next time. She was very polite. On my receipt it says her name is Sharesha.

Great prices and you can find discounts on already low prices. I was able to buy 5 blazers and a dress shirt for $9. Save money and still look professional. Looking good doesn't have to cost a fortune

There's always a gem to find here.  I found an engineering set here that  I used to play with when I was a little kid, talk about a blast from the past!

Love this place! I never leave empty handed. I’ve been going to this same location for at least 3 years and I can tell you it’s definitely the best value village I’ve ever been to. Recently though, I’ve noticed that the prices have been getting higher so I can’t get as much stuff as I used to :(

I always find gems here! As long as you do your research, are willing to look, and use your imagination there are endless possibilities at VV! They also have a great management team here, very friendly.

Love 1/2 price Wednesdays. Didnt have time to take pics because I had to stay focused on the bargains. They have rearranged the store which I like. Great experience today!

I LOVE VALUE VILLAGE. I never leave empty handed and I’m always left with surprises. I’ve found so much good clothes and at great price points. I love that every last Wednesday of the month there is 50% off of the store. Value village is a great place to go to and you can find something.  I’ve found items that I need without having to spend dozens of dollars.

Cool items, cheap prices. You can donate items and shop here. I donate here because they help kidney dialysis patients I shop here because they have cool stuff that's new with bargain prices... However not all are priced at a bargain you just have to know a good bargain... Know your prices so you can save money and help others.

Lisa is wonderful and so kind. She's been there almost 18 years. Clothes are sorted and tagged by SIZE - NOT COLOR. Amazing finds. Eighty cents bags filled with hidden treasures. Sizes XS-4XL women's and mens.

Now at the end of day I don't come to a thrift store for forever 21 customer service or Macy organization it's a thrift store your getting discounted clothes for god sake theirs no need for all this great service but I'll tell you what if you look around and your looking for hip pieces this is the place it's super cheap compared to other stores and honestly as a teen you can get a lot of statement pieces from this place it's amazing

Prices are higher than expected but the staff is friendly. Lots of clothes to hunt through. The store is clean and space to move.

Pretty good for a thrift store.  Always find atleast 1 or 2 things per trip.  Prices pretty good as well.

It was half price day and although busy it's worth it. Got half a years clothes for the new baby for $40

Large store with a variety of items. Different colored rags are on sale each week. Entire store 50% off on the last Wednesday of every month.

I've  gotten  a few good things here..way better than South Blvd Store who won't  let you use the restroom....but they want my $$

Their prices have risen too much. They have the nerve to charge more for a donated item than the donor did when it was new. Some prices are still ok but it's crazy what they want for some things. I used to go there often but now I rarely go there.

It's was ok, I know they had a nice living room set I really liked, so they have some good deals there. A couple of weeks ago a got a black suit jacket which was right on time for my interview. Fits nicely..

You can definitely find some awesome deals and some real Treasures here. They do have off all clothes once a month. One major drawback would be they usually don't have enough carts during their sale days , and they don't have a good checking out system.

Good deals are there but overall prices could be better for second hand items, best furniture prices although selection is hit or miss.  Somewhat run down with luke warm staff, often messy and disorderly.

It was decent.  I would go.  I just wished they had a place to try on clothes vs going home and bringing it back within 7days just to receive a store credit.

This used to be the spot. Now it's moreover a variety store, with pricing that reflects more retail than thrift. It's a shame because I enjoyed having Value Village in my rotation when I ho thrifting... sadly I will no long waste my time.

Unfortunately, this thrift store isn't really a great place for bargain shopping. Things are pretty costly and the organization towards the back of the store is incredibly rough.
I love buying and looking for random unique knick knacks, but found fairly destroyed or prepackaged store bought items kind of all over the place.
I ended buying a small rusted chest at a reasonable $3 but was still grumbled at by the cashier. They made it adamantly clear that they were not pleased with me being in their lane.
This experience was pretty upsetting but if you can stomach that maybe you'll be fine here.

No restrooms or dressing rooms offered, which is inconvenient but makes sense considering this location is not very safe. You can find some cool, cheap home items here but the prices for clothing can be outrageous, someone needs to remind them that they are a thrift store. I found a dress here earlier this week that still had the tags on it - including the security tag from the store - they wanted $25 for this dress and had no way of removing the security tag. Management and employees are often rude or don’t speak to you at all during checkout, not even to tell you your total.

Went here to find scrub tops for myself and possibly  black joggers for my son's school project. After looking for a while I asked an associate that was putting away clothes on the floor where the scrub tops would be? She looked at me with attitude then stated that she "couldn't point them out." and started back with her work as if I was inconveniencing her. So I asked if they are possibly mixed in? She said yes. After searching some more, I finally found them on a rack that said uniforms directly behind where we were standing when I asked her. When I was ready to check out, the cashier did not greet me. She was quiet the entire time and then handed me the receipt. No have a nice day, not a thank you for shopping with us. Absolutely nothing! I guess customer service isn't their thing.

I wanted to donate clothes. I waited 40 mins and no one never came to assist me even after going in to request assistance and calling to advise im still waiting 20 mins later. So I went to Goodwill and dropped off in 5 mins

It's like all of the things from a garage sale that nobody bought gets donated to this place and that would be fine except for they price gouge everything.  If you are a reseller or just somebody who's looking for good deals then this is not the place for you. I don't know about the other locations but the one on freedom sucks and has always sucked

What a joke this place has become 🤪 used to love it! The employees were so friendly and prices great! Ha! Not anymore! 45 mins before closing and it took 15-20 min to find someone to open the dressing room, and by then, it was 830, apparently they close the dressing rooms at 830 because they have to put everything away. We had an entire cart load of stuff, so either way they would have to put it away. After arguing with the cashier, I tracked down the manager and asked her to unlock it, 15 min til closing. Still wouldn’t let us try the clothes on, so we left an entire cart for them to put away 🤷‍♀️

As a patron of this store for nearly 10 years, I can say that this is the worst state that I’ve ever seen the store in! The obvious greed by the price makers is getting ridiculous! I would like to remind everyone that these places are selling FREE DONATIONS. No reason a basic men’s polo shirt should be $20 and jeans over $30. How is this even a thrift store with those types of prices.  This place no longer serves the under privileged community around it, but rather looks to satisfy their own pockets at the expense of impoverished people. If the goal is to combat “resellers”, just know that you are also impacting the community that use to rely on this store. I wish I could give 0 stars but google will not allow it.

DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY!!!

I wanted to purchase a dress that was missing its tag and they refused to sell it to me. I offered to pay $10, which is more than most of the other dresses they have, and they still refused. They didn’t even offer to help me out in anyway, just said I could not purchase it. I’ve never been in an establishment that did not want my money before. It’s hard to not be offended by that. I really wanted the dress and I spent a long time looking. Very disappointed. That’s not how a good business works. I would not suggest this store to anyone.

Managers & employees are rude. I’ve received attitudes from employees when I kindly asked to see jewelry in the showcase. One employee, Annette, seemed really annoyed with me when asking to see items in case. I’m not greeted when entering store. One day the manager was opening the store, when she unlocked the door, which I was standing at, she didn’t even greet or acknowledge me (she was in her mid 50’s wearing a skirt).  All of the managers treat customers with little respect. Aside from the poor customer service, the prices have increased tremendously. I love Value Village but I hate the direction this store is going. I’m contemplating just banning this store altogether. I hate how I feel when I leave it. Hopefully new management comes soon. Fingers crossed.

On 10-22-2021, I accidentally went in to shop leaving a tag on a previously purchased jacket I had on upon my entry. The manager had gone out looking for me as I went to my car for money to make my purchase. With NO consideration to look before leaping, he tried intimidating me while I calmly asked him to review camera for proof of my theft. Instead he HUMILIATED ME,  SWEARING AT ME, DEMEANING ME IN FRONT OF 10-15 CUSTOMERS,  TIL I HAD ENOUGH AND CALLED LAW ENFORCEMENT. I'M GOING BACK WITH ANOTHER ITEM/TAGS DISPLAYED. ONLY THIS TIME I'LL VIDEO MY EXPERIENCE. AN APOLOGY WITH A VERY NASTY SMERK AFTER HE DISCOVERED MY INNOCENCE!!! I SWEARED ASKING THAT HE MAKE THINGS RIGHT, ONLY TO HAVE HIM INSIST THAT I LEAVE THE STORE.  I HAVE NO WAY OF REACHING CORPORATE AS POLICE REFUSED TO ASSIST ME!!! THIS IS WHY I'M ON A TRUE MISSION TO EXPOSE THIS NON- PROFIT ESTABLISHMENT THROUGH VIDEO AND HOPEFULLY WORLDWIDE MEDIA COVERAGE!! BE BACK SOON WITH VIDEO UPSDATE SO, STAY TUNED!!! Waiting for corporate to return my call or response from manager for this location.

They have a wide selection of clothes and decent prices however they write the price in crayon They overcharged me on multiple items by 50 Cents claiming that the 0 was a 5 in no way will a complete o be a 5 then rang me up for 5 mens pants instead of 4 I did notI did not catch it til i got home i brought my tags back ti store where the manager still proceded to tell me to 0s wete 5s please learn to write numbers!!

I frequently shop here, but recently had to return 2 items. I was not too sure of the return policy, I was told I had a instore credit that I had to use the SAME day as the exchange. I had to find items that equaled the EXACT amount...huh? how do you do that? I could not, I got as close as I could and was told that I could not get the remainder in cash. The store policy should at least allow you to use the store credit at another time when the store might have something you want. I ended up getting something I did not want, nor needed. Will not return

Kind of surprise, price's are rising,they get free stuff, and are acting like Marshall's, kohl's, the gastonia store hasn't gone up yet but probably if one does the other  will also hope not.

I purchased a vacuum. I brought it home and plugged it in. It did not suck. I tried to adjust the carpet depth. The knob fell off inside the chassis. I brought it back to the store. They refused to take back the broken vacuum. They told me it was sold as is per the sign. The only thing I saw on the sign was "no cash refund. Only store credit for same-day". I wanted to even exchange for a vacuum of the same price. They refused.

Terrible customer service.  Got to the checkout, and there was a teenage guy sitting on checkout counter (but he scooted down a few inches so I could put my stuff on it too) flirting with the cashier.  After awhile, he asked for her number, and she proceeded to give it to him, twice, and then talk about what she's doing for the week...meanwhile he got off the counter and stood close to her and touched her a couple times.  During checkout, I had trouble with a price tag that had apparently come off, and she claimed she couldn't sell it to me.  I flagged down another cashier (mine was still busy flirting) and she took it to the back and got me a new tag.  The "couple" eventually (finally!) wrapped up with a long good-bye hug - behind the counter, with I (and my young daughter) standing there.  After all this, she asked for my credit card, then just walked away.  I realized after watching her that they must have only one card-swiping machine, and it was apparently behind the other register (where she took her time talking to the other cashier for awhile before bringing back my card).  I was appalled at the rudeness of this cashier, and will not be back.

Pricing was rather random, some things at good prices, some things definitely not.  Be careful when shopping here as I found a number of clothing items with obvious stains and holes.  It seems they accept and put out everything.
