Stopped into Kitchen Kuriosities today after visiting The Recycled Reader Used Bookstore and had a wonderful time browsing all the goodies! Michael was a delight to chat with, even helping tie my shoe that had come undone (as I had a bag full of books and my purse and he didn't want me to trip!). I enjoyed looking at all the wonderful items, from local spices to cookware and everything in between! They focus on eco-friendly, sustainable, and QUALITY items perfect for a novice in the kitchen or a well-seasoned chef! Today I left with a chicken shaped cookie cutter, some reusable bowl covers, and an eco-friendly countertop compost bin (something I have been searching for!). These items are going to be wonderful in my home. Their punch card is also a gem, rewarding you with 20% off after completing ten purchases of $10. Michael is a wealth of knowledge and makes you feel like family, with warm and inviting conversation. I can't wait to go back and find my next gem, support a local business, and view the largest rolling pin collection in the south (maybe they'll add a few more!) #thesouthslargestcollectionofrollingpins

A lovely, quaint shop with a little bit of everything related to kitchen accessories. From seasonings, teas, honey, to beautifully sewn aprons, to unique kitchen gadgets. The name of the store really suites the experience of the customer. It is very much like opening a special door to a store of curiosities. Every time we enter, it captivates us. There is always something new that catches our eye. No matter if you are visiting town, or live locally, if you haven’t visited this local business, definitely stop by! It will quickly become a favorite. Thank you to the owners for this unique Elizabeth City gem.

If you have a love of all things kitchen and things vintage this is the place to go! I was visiting family when I went to this shop. There are so many wonderful things and the prices are reasonable. If I lived in the area I would be stopping in often to see what is added to the vintage inventory. Great place, highly recommended!

Another great addition to downtown! They are always friendly & helpful and carry a large selection of reasonably priced items. I love being able to mix modern with nostalgia & have found pieces from dish collections my grandmother owned to add to my kitchen here. Handmade, locally sourced products are a special touch. It’s a great little shop to stop in whether you need something specific or just want to browse.
Wow! Your words are encouraging, thank you!
