My friend from out of town was looking for a foyer piece. She found exactly what she was looking for at a very fair price. Without intent, we also found a recliner for My house. It's in excellent condition, and in very pleased.

Owner Response

Hi Marla, Thank you for the great review! We're happy you both were able to find what you were looking for, and we appreciate your support! Enjoy your recliner.

Tony and I stopped at Arts & Antiques Mall in Fairmont WV. This is a 6 Story Historical Building with only three floors opened to the public. There is street parking with meters available. The store is very lovely and there is a Coal Mine Museum on the third floor. The museum is free to enjoy!!

Owner Response

Hi Lisa! Thanks for stopping by and leaving us a great review. We're glad you guys enjoyed your time at Arts & Antiques Marketplace. We are lucky to host the coal mine history exhibit, which will be holding a swap meet at our location on Saturday December 10th. Several people from the area bring their coal mine related artifacts and items to sell. So there will be lots more to see that day!

This is a great antiques mall, done the way such places should be done. Some of the vendors have great prices, some are frankly ridiculous, but if you really look, there are often bargains to be found. A couple of years ago, we purchased an Edison console phonograph at a stupidly cheap price. It did not work, but repairs were simple (a bent lever) and it now holds pride of place in our dining room, along with 20 or so Diamond discs that came with it. In repaired shape, it is worth 4-5 times what we paid for it. A brief word of advice: if something catches your eye, buy it right then. It will probably be gone the next time you stop by. I saw a beautiful typewriter and thought I'd come back for it a day or two later, but no. It was gone. Stop in and see what you can find. You won't regret it, even if you come away empty-handed.

Owner Response

Hi Jeffrey, thank you for the great review! We're glad you enjoy browsing our three floors of vendor shops & consignments items. Look forward to seeing you next time, and hopefully we'll have another typewriter for you! Thanks for your continued support.
