When I find a book I’m looking for here it’s always great. They offer a big discount that you wouldn’t get from those major book stores. A book you’d see for 20 or 40 bucks you could find for 8 or 10 dollars at 2nC. Always love to stop by every now and then and see what new has come in. If you are a bookworm and wanna get your books at a good discounted price I highly recommend this place.

I love this place! Not everything is a bargain, but you can find books for only $2-3 if you're looking in the right place. They also just have books that are the collectors editions and some that are signed. This isn't where I would go if you're looking for something hyper specific. But this is where I come every time I want to pick up a new book!

Clean & well organized store. Very much the same setup as a B&N or BAM store. Like to look at movies, manga, DnD section, plushies and action figure collectibles. Good overall assortment.

I love this place from the books to the nostalgia. Always deals going on and the staff is incredible.

2nd & Charles is a wonderful shop, they have something for everyone. Each time I visit i enjoy myself and the customer service is always amazing. Love this place, and also have family members that come in and shop too💗

I came in there today to find a book even though I don't read it's 2025 and accomplished 2 books already the young girl at the register told me what she recommended and then brought me to other young ladies for more advice turns out they both where managers I want to thank you all for helping me find some books to read .  Def recommend anybody to go there instead of barnes and noble they actually care  at 2 and Charles bravo ladies thanks so much 🙏

Definitely better than Barnes and Noble. More eclectic, specialized shopping too, has a little of everything for every type of person.

We stopped in this store for a couple of books and were greeted by Jack Daniel's. He was so polite and helpful!! Amazing clean store, shelves were stocked and everything was in place!! Def coming back bc Jack was so wonderful!!!!

Got two manga, GM named Jack helped us out, very cool dude, and he discounted one of the books cuz a scratch. Hope the best for him and his crew

What a wonderful experience today! I have always shopped here. But today I will forever be thankful and grateful for Mr. Jack and Miss Mea! They helped me find very specific vinyl records today and helped with the process! Both employees are wonderful and have a beautiful personality. VERY HELPFUL!!!! They both need a raise! It’s hard to find good help now and days and they both are absolutely OUTSTANDING help! Definitely recommend! Thank you so much again!

Find something new every visit, be it either books, media, or any of related/near topics. Fair pricing to similar stores. Staff is always helpful and nice to chat with while checking out or searching for the items. Love every visit.

Awesome store. The owner, whose name escapes me, is extremely friendly and helpful. They have a wonderful selection of books, video games, vinyls, CDs, and other random cool things. You can sell stuff here as well for cash or credit. This is a fantastic impulse buy kind of store.

Such a big clean book store! You can grab new books or used books for fraction of the cost! Lots if Vinyl Records to thumb through.

Kids section was great on the opposite side.

Was able to grab 2 books for 8 something dollars that was gently used almost new!!!!

Jack and his team absolutely made my trip as I went hunting through the store. Jack made the effort to come find me after my browsing and offered me another item I was looking for just because I had mentioned it. Even at check out we and another employee had an awesome conversation. Will be coming back for more hidden gems.

I love going to 2nd & Charles. They may not always have what I want, although they did have this cute calendar. They also had other things that my family wanted. It's always clean and the employees are nice.

I truly can never say enough good things about this store. The manager is wonderful and always goes above and beyond to help anyone who needs it. He also has such a passion for what he does that you just can’t help but get excited about all the cool stuff that’s in that store. I could spend hours….and have 😂

Love 2nd & Charles. I always stop with my granddaughters to have them pick up books. But this time, I was looking for law books in which the store didn't have any. First time I been disappointed. But my granddaughters did find books they liked.  Get more law books, please.

Awesome awesome place.  My son and I went looking for vinyl records, and they had plenty of them!  They also had used PlayStation, Xbox,  Nintendo games for sale and gaming systems as well!  The only complaint I had and my son, he was about to fall out, it was so hot and humid in there.  Kid at the register said the A/C had been out for 7 months and it was the hottest day of the year that late Saturday afternoon, but still.  He couldn’t breathe so we paid and left.  We didn’t explore the store like we wanted to.

This place is awesome! HUGE selection of comics, games, records, CDs, Funco, and so much more. The cashier that checked us out was very kind and helpful, thank you man it was the best part of the visit.
They need to partner with a local coffee shop and places to read, also put in some gaming tables in the back for game nights!
Cool stuff definitely check this place out!

Its pretty awesome in there and they have lots of books and some cool paintings too. This place has so many thing to buy and I seen some cool guitars in there with a banjo. I love it here and I wanna keep coming back

I love this place. If you are into almost any kind of nerdom, this place is for you. Collectibles, retro games, board games and tabletop RPGs, vinyl records, CDs, manga, anime, blue-rays, DVDs. They always have some kind of clearance bins for of cool stuff. You can also trade in any of the things I listed above! It's a cool place to walk around and shop for a long time.

1st time here and I caught the Wednesday buy one get one sale. Quiet, clean & good collection.

Amazing I've loved all the visits I've made, wide range of genres, authors and stationary items. They also have guitars, record players and vinyl. Very well maintained. Pricing is also really good on their items.

This is a great store with a huge selection of items. The manager (I believe) takes exceptional pride in his store and values his customers. It's probably a good idea to call ahead before bringing items to sell... a lesson I learned the hard way, being turned away a few times at first. (At the time of this review, the inventory had been overwhelming for staff).

Always spend a good chunk of time in this place. They get new stuff daily so ya never know what you'll find. Don't expect more than pennies on the dollar for sell back tho. I'll only use this place as a last resort from now on.

Love this store ... My boyfriend took me here last weekend and it's a book lovers Paradise. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. Also, don't let the store fool you. There's movies and games. There are books and toys for kids. There's gaming stuff for the gamers. Sales and deals everywhere.

I just wanna say this review would be 5 stars if it wasn’t for the A/C being out the last few times I have come here. We get days over 85 degrees in Jacksonville with almost 100% humidity. I love it here and will happily spend over an hour looking for books and browsing. I also will happily spend my money here. Jack is an amazing store manager who cares about his role in the store and is always super friendly when I come by. Bryson helped me today and he was a great help also, very friendly. It would be nice to come in and be able to spend the amount of time I like to spend in here without it being a health hazard.

I appreciate resell in our consumerist society. If you're looking for an entire wall of christian romance, or an entire aisle of christian living, this is the store for you. Bamned books section was one endcap.

It's clean and when you do find an employee....they are nice, but the store is way over priced, doesn't have a good selection, categories not labeled well and if you plan on selling a book back to them.....well they start to tell you a list of books that they do not take. 🙄 I mean you either buy back or you don't. What a waste of a drive, I won't be doing business there.

Great place to buy books and other items.  I spent about $85, and had some books to sell.  I was not offered to join the membership which would have given me $10 coupon.  I asked and was told they will open a ticket and someone will call me.  I had a few books I wanted to sell.  Store was almost empty.  Two people working on buying back books said they were busy with other  items (not for people who were there) and asked me to wait.  I waited about 20 minutes to be offered about two center per book. NO THANKS.

Poor customer service. Flipping through the comic book bargain bin, some books didn't have prices on them. When I asked the MGR, he quoted me cover price ($4.99/$5.99). Nothing wrong with selling modern books at cover price, but I shouldn't have to hunt through an unorganized bargain bin to find them. Also, one book was priced at $6 & the cashier flipped the book over & used a bar code on the back & bottom of the book for $21 / no apology or effort to negotiate the book for the trouble, just "you want me to take it off?". Bottom line, the store could be better managed and organized.

Funko collectors stay away from the selling side of things!! I was offered $1.50 for funko’s like Illumi Zoldyck and Gon Awaken!

Nothing makes you like a store less then having an employee snicker at and be rude to you and your teenager. It was super hateful and we will not be back. Thanks Bella.

As far as how they buy, they don't, they steal.
Common crooks of 2nd & Charles do not deserve your time and they especially don't deserve your money.
Plus it's pretty run down and dirty and the staff are all halfwits.
It should be bulldozed.

i would not suggest selling to this place, please just use ebay. i sold  8 funko pops (an estimated value of $200) and i was given about 40 dollars for it. this place is basically just like gamestop

So there is a certain Funko Pop that clearly had some damage that I was interested in buying. The cashier was nice she called her manager up to see if it could be discounted for the damage it had. And she just quickly looked over it not even a thorough look and didn’t give me a chance to point out the damage to her. So they rather have shelf ware on there shelves cause it has been there for months now. 12/15/24 at 10:01 A.M

I have some collectible GI joes that I called them and told them about the whole GI Joe ordeal about Asians original boxing in plastic but the glue that the manufacturer use wasn't sticking no more . I told them this yet she said okay bring them in I drove 2 hours and some change to this place to be told oh no you're the guy we talked to on the phone no we can't take them?
Like really I've even seen post about this I thought maybe somebody was just mad nah y'all really do

I went to sell an Xbox, 2 controllers and a 2 TB hard drive. The buy back personal proceeded to tell me that they needed an HDMI cord so that they could test the Xbox, they neglected to tell me that they needed a specific HDMI cord for their TV. I came back with an HDMI cord and they made me wait an hour and a half to just to tell me that I didn't have the right cord and they even showed me the correct cord but would not test my Xbox because I didn't give them the right cable. They don't care about that program or helping there customers.

This place is horrible do not take any of your collectible items to them to buy back they are a rip-off I had over $1,000 in CDs and they offered me $4,

I used to really like this store until they accused my Fiancé and I of stealing. We were just casually looking around and they started acting weird. They proceeded to follow us around, and even followed my Fiancé into the bathroom!
We will NEVER go back.

We brought in 8 bins of books, including text books, college books, Harry Potter books,  etc. They gave us $23 for all of them. That was over $600 worth of books. This place is a total rip off! Do not sell to them!! There isn't a book in that place under $10 like are you serious!! I will never sell or buy anything there again!
