I’ve been coming to this antique mall since we moved here from Michigan around 5 years ago. Toy Pickers are pretty much the first vendor you see when you turn to your right as you walk in. It’s fun & nostalgic to look at all of the old toys and collectibles. Some are a bit pricey. Hope you find something you love, enjoy. Josephine Local Guide

Bought some Pokémon packs from them and many of the cards inside were very clearly fake. On some you can see that the text is pixelated from being a photo copy, and the rare cards that are supposed to be holo foil are just on normal card paper. I opened a SV Shrouded Fable pack and not only were all of the cards in Spanish and clearly fake, not all of the cards inside were even from the Shrouded Fable set. 4/10 were from the Temporal Forces set. Farigiraf ex was printed on holo paper, but you can tell someone tried to layer the text and the graphics themselves by the way the energy next to its move is so poorly cropped. It doesn’t even say ex on it. I provided a photo of what a real one looks like for comparison. My guess is they couldn’t find the right font for the ex part and gave up. The more you look, the more mistakes you see. I bought other packs that are probably fakes too, but this one is the most obvious.

If you need something from a locked case be ready to wait while they find a Merinos employee to unlock it, who have no knowledge of anything in them. Pokemon cards are listed as "reprints" but in actuality it really means fake cards not authorized reprints of cards. Collectible toys looked awesome, but there is nobody there with any knowledge to discuss them. The whole setup of Merinos is like a giant consignment store, with them running the booths full of stuff they have zero knowledge of.

These guys have a lot of awesome vintage toys, but BE AWARE of their cards. They need to realize that kids come in to buy cards, while shopping with family members. I bought 2 packs, yes PACKS, of Pokemon cards. I only looked at the price, not the full sticker, so partly my fault, but the whole pack was reprinted cards, and a resealed pack!! I know they sell novelty reprint individual cards, but I never thought they would ever do a full resealed pack of reprinted cards!! Also, those resealed reprinted cards were mixed in with other REAL packs of cards!! If I could give 0 or 1/2 stars I would. I hate to say this, but because of this, I will never buy from Toy Pickers again!! Buyers Beware!!
