LOVE The Cottage Door!  I love how friendly and helpful Rachel the owner, Laura and other ladies are (sorry I don’t know their names).  Their very neat and tidy shop is chock full of good quality and well priced items-home decor, furniture, ladies clothing and accessories, as well as jewelry.  I never leave empty handed whether it’s treasures for myself and for my home, or lovely gifts for friends and family.  Definitely 5 ⭐️ s.

The Cottage Door is the best consignment shop in Weaverville! They put out new clothes for every season! Great shoe selection & I’ve bought multiple side tables/jewelry just miscellaneous stuff! The owner of the shop is wonderful and a dog lover which is bonus points!

This is my favorite place! It always has an amazing selection. You can also find great brands for good prices. Rachel the owner is just fantastic and knows how to display everything in a gorgeous manner. The people that work there are very sweet too.

I always look here first before buying new. I'm pleased with so many interesting finds and such savings over new. All merchandise is well chosen from consignors. This crew is hard working and the atmosphere pleasant.
You won't get rich as a consignor, but it's really nice to get a little extra spending money for stuff that I would otherwise donate, give away or unnecessarily hoard. :)

A great consignment spot with a wide variety of nice things, from housewares to clothing. I’ve shopped here a few times but only recently consigned with them during their “open consign” (no appointment required for open consign). It was an easy process and they were very efficient with the large load I brought. Looking forward to the next time I get to pop in.

When you first walk in it is very welcoming. The store is organized so well it helps make things easy to find. I love the variety of things they sell and the prices are very reasonable. I go at least once a month.

I have been shopping this gem of a consignment store for years and LOVE it!  Never go in that I don’t find some treasure I cannot live without. I’ve bought clothes, shoes, purses, coats, pottery, Christmas etc. staff are always friendly and prices are good and reflective of the quality goods they carry.

Love coming and seeing all the ‘new to me’ and unique items EACH week!  Everyone is so friendly and always helpful.

Love consigning and shopping here. Everyone is so pleasant. It’s so much fun to browse around and see so many unique items. I try to stop by weekly to see what “new” item catches my eye.

I have loved this delightful store since it opened! Great finds and bargains. The staff is friendly and organization makes it a pleasure to step inside. One word of caution, if you see something you like, don't wait to buy it because it probably won't be there next time.

This store is a delight to shop in. Their employees are so sweet and the owner Rachel is a jewel.  Love shopping there and even to just go in and visit with these sweet ladies. You never know what kind of treasure you will find.

I am addicted to The Cottage Door.  Rachel and her entire staff are welcoming, kind, professional and fun.  They provide a safe, clean, enticing environment filled with items of quality and variety.  The displays are lovely.  Most of my gifts and items for personal use are purchased here.  It is obvious that Rachel and her staff work hard and care.

Absolutely love this shop and can't wait to take the rest of our Junkin Gypsy group back.   They have some antiques and a wonderful collection of all types of things.  Nice gently used clothing and accessories, furniture and collectibles.  The staff is very friendly and welcoming.  I volunteer at the NC Arboretum and found a beautiful sweater for Winter LIghts.  It's just like new and the price was great !!

It's my favorite consignment shop in the Asheville area. The clothing is well priced, they have nice looking displays as well as shoes, home decor, handbags. They always have new and fun things, great deals and very friendly staff.

Best place in Weaverville for used clothing. Great prices. Selection is small but good and changes often. Also a selection of furniture and antiques. A nice quite store. I don’t know why people complain about not being greeted. if that is your criteria for a store there are plenty of good options.

I was actually looking to see what kind of furniture they had. They had some but nothing that I was looking. I didn't have time to spend there but it looks like they have a lot of interesting items other than the furniture, so next time I have more time I'll stop back for sure.

Such a beautiful shop and the staff are outstanding. I spent over an hour and a half looking through the selection and I purchased a pair of pants but I was so surprised and I didn’t say anything when it came over $11 and the pants were $8.99I thought maybe it was the tax in North Carolina but I looked at my receipt today and they charged me $1.50 for using my debit card. I wish I would’ve been advised of this prior to the sale as I would’ve paid cash. There was no sign posted anywhere stating that they charged $1.50 for a debit card transaction and I was not notified verbally. I have a big big problem with this and it is a shame because this store is incredible.

The cottage door is a beautiful shop. It’s very unique and I love the color coordination. I was a customer over five years ago and I used to bring in my item to receive partial pay of the sale. I recently went in with two bags of clothes. I waited a while, and that is fine, but they accepted nothing because I am petite. I really wish they would have just looked at me and said “we don’t take your size” I am sure they are not allowed to though, as that would be prejudice. I looked around the store while I was waiting with my baby and I did not see shoes that are size 6, which I was felt a little confused by but perhaps They do not get enough petite Customers. I even said “hello” to the manager And said “Long time no see” she did not respond to me, so I thought that was Rude. Perhaps she was busy, but she could’ve at least looked up and acknowledged me. For this, I would say do not shop there if you are petite, or bring in clothes if you are petite and I won’t be going back.

I've been coming here for quite a while. They have a great selection of items and it's usually a very interesting shopping experience because you always find something to buy. However, now they have started charging a $1.50 per debit card transaction. Debit cards are legally considered same as cash. When I politely asked why they've started charging the older woman with short brown hair, quite rudely said" because the banks are charging us and now we are charging you." That doesn't really seem like the kind of thing you would want to say to a customer who is giving you money. There's better ways to say things and that wasn't one of them. Banks charging businesses for credit or debit card transactions are a cost of doing business and they should not be something that is passed along as a burden to the customer. It's very unfortunate since I love the store, but as long as this practice is in place I shall not be returning.

Not worth it as a consignor unless you truly wanted to give your items away in the first place.  It is understood if an item hasn't sold that it would be donated. However,  I checked in periodically being told they would retain the last of my two items since they were a quality brand.  I did look for those two items on the floor, but didn't find them.  Before I could inquire, the KungFlu hit and everything was closed.  Now that things have reopened I have been told if my items are not on the floor that they've been donated.  I thought I was having a good experience until I realized they do not have a good handle on how to run a business.

Concerned customer. I can see the products are of value and good deals can be had - BUT no face masks or social distancing by workers. I couldn’t stay long because I was uncomfortable. I hope that this review encourages The Cottage Door to crack down on safety...

I would like to say that customer service is terrible. Do not buy unless you know you will keep the item. The store will not refund if you bring it back and they also
Won't give you store credit. Also they charge you 1.50 to accept your debit card.

Darlene,  I'm very sorry for the experience your friend had in our store.  We actually do have a sign posted at the register stating "All Sales Are Final" and it is also stated on the receipt.  As a consignment store, the consignors are paid when the item sells and we are unable to take that money back in the event of a return.  We offer dressing rooms so that all clothing can be tried on before purchasing.  There is also a sign posted at the credit card terminal stating that we do charge a transaction fee for using a card.  Again, I apologize that your friend did not read the posted policies in the store and on her receipt.   

A good friend purchased a bathing suit recently and tried to return it after trying it on as it did not fit. She was refused a refund or store credit for the return. Terrible policy regarding returns or refunds which was not posted anywhere.  She also was charged to use her debit card which was not posted. No customer service and bad attitude toward a return and refund.

I wasn't greeted when I came in nor was I offered any help looking. Was listed as furniture consignment but had more clothing
