Home Again is a phenomenal spot for anyone looking to furnish their home or just find some cute new decor. The atmosphere and inventory is lovely. I love this spot! I live in Raleigh but come here at least once a month when I’m in town and never leave empty handed because their selection of new and gently used items cannot be beat! I always get pieces that are unique and make my rooms special.

There’s something for every style you may be looking for. The artwork is especially bold and beautiful and reasonably priced. I’m from out of town but visit Wilmington frequently and love to receive the weekly emails showing off the latest inventory…easy to shop online!

This is a new find for me and it is an amazing place. You will find quality merchandise at a reasonable price and great people. Unlike some consignment spots, this place isn’t cluttered, and dusty. If you see something you like, it’s best to purchase on the spot, items go fast. Their Instagram page can keep you updated with new items as well.

Thank you for your help!  I found exactly what I wanted in a dark chocolate sofa, an off white long credenza with 6 drawersand a bottom shelf, an aqua round coffee table that was perfectly sized to fit my sofa AND an off white end table that completed the look.  Not to mention the 4 pillows that were a steal at $5 each with zipper covers.  It is more than the items themselves.  It was the way they were showcased.  Giving me ideas to create a space of my own.  The staff was friendly, did not hover over me and best of all answered questions and made suggestions.  I walked out so pleased.  And seriously when does furniture shopping in just one trip yield such satisfaction?  At Home Again it does.

I always love to go and see the great finds here!  Fantastic consignment items as well as new too.  Have purchased a few items for my home. Staff is always friendly and helpful.  Only reason I gave it 4 star is the prices while good sometimes are not as competitive.   They are higher end but a few items in this marketplace are still high.   Am still a customer.  Bought this dresser and love it!

I bought a few things here. And I'm happy with my purchases. As for pricing; hard for me to say if you can get a bargain here. Some stuff seems over priced IMO. I'd shop around for best price and not be in too much of a hurry to buy. Know what you are looking for is the best policy. Only complaint, It's a bit too crowded with stuff, hard to keep your 6 foot space to avoid other shoppers, considering.  "Harley" was awesome to work with and so was Sam, I'm in love with Sam, oh those eyes. This place could become addictive, beware.

I just bought a new couch the past week and I absolutely LOVE it; however, before I purchased I saw that the throw pillows that came with it were priced separately. I was told that they didn't come with the couch, but it was made out of the same material, color, and design as the couch. After pointing this out, I got two of the pillows included with the price of the couch but still had to pay extra for the other two. I looked up the same exact couch online at NUMEROUS different stores and saw that it is supposed to come with all four throw pillows. The price of the couch was the same as the rest I found online, so it wasn't lowered to make up for removing the throw pillows from the set. This is probably a way for them to make more money off of their furniture. I feel taken advantage of and scammed, and I'm quite upset that I had to spend money on throw pillows that are supposed to be included with the couch. I've never seen a furniture store remove items from a set without at least adjusting the price. I still have to furnish the rest of my living room and bedroom and I'm not sure that I'll be coming back to this store.

I’ve been in here a handful of times and they have good selections and pricing. Every time I have been in to shop, employees have not greeted me, and seemingly actively ignored me and not been helpful at all. I probably won’t come back again just for that reason.

Good selection of furniture but the 2-3 times I’ve gone in, I never get acknowledged/greeted and when I have asked for help or for prices it seemed as if I was bothering the employees. :/ unfortunately I have talked to others about this store and they have had the same opinions about the staff.

We truly hate hearing this feedback, but appreciate you for sharing it. While we never want to pester our customers, and never use a hard-sell approach, we do have a hard and fast policy that our staff is to GREET EVERYONE when they walk in the door.  Because we can get very busy at times, it might be the only opportunity we have to make sure that our customers feel welcomed and to let them know we are available to help. We honestly pride ourselves on being a happy and fun place to shop; welcoming to everyone. I can tell you with certainty our staff will be very upset to hear this feedback, and will take it to heart.  I see that you have a posted a number of reviews, both good and bad. If you feel comfortable, particularly at a local business,  do ask for a manager or owner right away if you've bad experience. We will genuinely want to know more about the situation and have a chance to make it right! We are sorry we will not be a part of furnishing your new home, but your comments are helpful and appreciated, and we hope it turns out great! 

I visited Home Again for the 3rd time and for the 3rd time and was disappointed that not one person acknowledged me for a third time. They certainly saw me as I am not invisible! We are trying to furnish our new home and heard about this place from someone at a nice lighting shop. I will not be back and I will not recommend.

Great furniture, great home accessories and great prices. However, make sure you look somewhat affluent because the staff are snobs. I couldn’t believe the looks I got from the staff. Not one of them approached me to say hello or ask if I needed help finding anything. I’m in the process of furnishing my new place at the beach and was prepared to spend a few thousand. Walked out because of the lack of customer service and the attitude. Don’t judge a book by its cover!!

Store has ridiculous hours and even worse pickup hours and pickup policies!
The guys retrieving pickup order and helping load were great. Very nice and helpful. The hours and pickup policies will stop me from making any purchase in the future at this store.

We are very sorry you had a bad experience, and have reviewed your visit with the staff members you interacted with. Our policy was communicated to you correctly, we do not negotiate on prices, as they automatically reduce over time. The price that we put on an item reflects the condition of the item.  We reserve the 10% off option in our contract for when we have special promotions on sales, which is fairly infrequently.  Our staff did let you down when they did not follow you to look at the items, as they could have advised that the tables are already reduced to a price that is actually less than you indicated you wanted to pay at $148.50 ea.  Again, we apologize for the experience you had, and will make sure to learn from it going forward. One of the ladies at the front was extremely rude when we offered $300 cash on a $317.70 sale. She said they didn't allow haggling on consignment items. Personally, I've made many consignment purchases and sells in the past and have never heard this. It states in their consignment contract that 10% off can be offered at any time during the contract. The side table was scratched all around the bottom and the price was about to drop in 6 days on the item that has been sitting there for almost 30 days. She wouldn't even walk over to the furniture we were discussing and look at it. We will not be returning.

After you posted this review, we received from you a private message that you would remove your negative posts if we give you a refund. Any negative post is distressing, so our staff met to discuss the chain of events.  When you purchased your item, you had to check a box before completing your purchase stating that you understand that items must be picked up in 4 days.  Additionally, our policies state that a storage fee of $25 per day applies after 4 days, and the item is forfeited without refund after 30 days.  We attempted NUMEROUS times via email and text to contact you, to which you never replied. Ultimately, we held the item for more than 60 days, and we also waived the storage fees. We know of no other store where you can make a purchase, not pick it up, not respond to communications, and expect them to hold it indefinitely. Our storage is limited, and we have to pay our consignors for items that sell, regardless of whether they are picked up.  We, too,  regret the situation, but no refund will be forthcoming in exchange for you removing your negative posts.

I purchased a mirror online and I live in Raleigh so it took me a little while to pick it up. I figured they either were holding it or would refund it to me and then sell it. They KEPT my money and SOLD the item so they would profit on it TWICE*** Make sure you pick up your item bc if life happens and you don’t pick up within 30 days they TAKE YOUR MONEY and SELL THE ITEM!!!!!! Absolutely INSANE - refund your customer! $133.75!

My boyfriend and I walked into Home Again Wilmington this morning around 10:15am looking to shop for a few items for our new home after ours was destroyed by Hurricane Florence. We had a few pieces in mind that we had seen on the store's Facebook & Instagram pages and loved but when we arrived they were no longer available, which is the name of the game in this business. We understood and kept looking around the store at other pieces because they really do have some beautiful items.

When we walked in we were not greeted, even though the couple in front of us and the couple behind us were. I chalked it up to the story being slightly busy and the sale associates probably just didn't notice us but the more we walked around and seemed to be ignored I started to wonder if it was because of the way we were dressed (not that it should have mattered.) I was wearing a pair of lululemon tights, a t-shirt, ball cap, and Nike sneakers and my boyfriend was dressed in a similar manner because we were out running errands and shopping all day. Compared to everyone else in the store we were definitely "under dressed," but I didn't really think it mattered how we were dressed if we were there to purchase thousands of dollars worth of furniture.

We found a sales associate and asked the young lady about some of the pieces we had seen online and she informed us that they were no longer in stock and then said that couches were scattered around the store and to just have a look around so we did. We found a beautiful sectional for $1,200 and asked another associate for help. We spoke with her for about 5-7 minutes about the piece and then sat there for a little while longer talking amongst ourselves about a possible purchase. The manager/owner (unsure of her position) looked at us but never spoke or offered her assistance.

We then walked around a little more to think things over and look at other pieces (bar stools, pillows, a coffee table, and a chest) and came back to the register to finally purchase the couch. At this point, we had been in the store about 20-30 minutes and had inquired about the couch to two different sales associates and had expressed our interest in making a purchase. When we got to the register to pay the manager/owner looked at the tag and said something to the effect of "This one has a person listed as a courtesy call. We have to call them and they have 5 minutes to respond if they want to buy the piece. If not, you can purchase it." At this point I was a little confused because we had been looking at this couch for quite some time and nobody had mentioned this policy to us.

So we were there at the register and the manager/owner called the person and they did end up deciding to purchase over the phone. They 2 sale associates and manage/owner looked at us from the register and just said that the other person decided to purchase the couch and that it was no longer for sale. Not once did any of them offer to show us other pieces or ask us if there was anything else we were interested in. They all just stared at us as if waiting for us to leave. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable experience for both of us and we left feeling very devalued and just sort of shrugged off by the staff. In fact, we were interested in purchasing another $400-$500 worth or merchandise but left after the way we were treated.

In short, the store does have some beautiful pieces of furniture and the prices are reasonable but we were treated very poorly by some of the staff (not everyone, there was a nice sales associate who was very helpful.) I can only attribute this to maybe the way we were dressed and them thinking we might not have money to spend? I just don't see any other reason they would be helping the other people in the store and ignoring us even though we were interested in several items. I really hope this is not the case and that no one else is treated this way but it was our experience today that was so unfortunate. We would not recommend to other friends in the area nor will we be returning to furnish our new home.
