Bill's Trading Post in Swanzey, New Hampshire is a unique antique store that offers a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for treasure hunters. As one reviewer describes, "It is packed to the rafters with stuff and junk and treasures and antiques. And I do mean packed, to the point where many areas are inaccessible because of piles of stuff."
The store's inventory is eclectic and extensive, with customers reporting that "it has everything." Reviewer Kristianne "Krit" Johnson simply states, "Has everything," while Suzanne Sciortino exclaims, "Always something to find!" Another customer, Bryan "Bry" Scott, notes that the merchandise is "Great stuff but over priced," indicating the store's offerings span a range of quality and value.
Dealing with the store's owner, Bill, is described as requiring "a required taste" by reviewer James Nestor, who adds, "once I broke the ice, deals amongst deals." Similarly, Michael Perras states, "Great place to deal with, Bill's a great guy." This suggests that navigating the store and negotiating with the owner is part of the unique shopping experience at Bill's Trading Post.
Despite the challenges, customers seem to appreciate the thrill of the hunt at this antique emporium. As Amy C. writes, "If you have a couple hours and aren't afraid of getting your hands dirty, it's an interesting way to spend the afternoon." The lack of marked prices also adds to the excitement, as shoppers must "be sure to haggle with the owner" to find the best deals.
Overall, Bill's Trading Post appears to be a treasure trove for antique enthusiasts willing to put in the time and effort to uncover hidden gems amidst the store's cluttered and chaotic inventory. Those who embrace the challenge are rewarded with the opportunity to discover unique and valuable finds.

This place is hard to describe. It is packed to the rafters with stuff and junk and treasures and antiques. And I do mean packed, to the point where many areas are inaccessible because of piles of stuff. If you have a couple hours and aren’t afraid of getting your hands dirty, it’s an interesting way to spend the afternoon. No prices marked so make sure you know how much things are worth and be sure to haggle with the owner.

This place is definitely interesting... been there many times, bought a crate of Edison Diamond Discs for a seemingly arbitrary price, but don't come here expecting to find rare and high-end merchandise at rock-bottom prices. Definitely worth a visit, but beware it's a jumbled mess out in the back and DO NOT bring children into the building, as they can easily get themselves hurt. A side-note, he has a 1991 Infiniti M30 convertible in his parking lot that has sat there for over 20 years. This is a VERY rare car, and he wants ALL the money for it. Sadly, it's slowly turning into a rusted-out pile.

A side of the road junkyard for sale with some occasional goodies if you are a persistent digger.

Sooo over crowded it is hard to find things (and I'm a junkin' queen). Been many places such as this and found their prices to be much higher than other places. Fun to go every once in awhile but if you are in the hunt for great prices while junkin', there are better options.
