They often get very fine items for auction, however the high rate of items being passed in as unsold suggests that either their margins are such that they can price high and get a few big sales to carry them through, or they are out of touch with the market for their starting bids/estimates. Of the first 100 items in their 9 December auction, 92 were unsold. I have tracked some of their items as a prospective buyer and have seen the same things come up for auction 6 times this year alone.

Confusing signage on the door. One says "open" the other sign says "call if you'd like to make a purchase". We couldn't get in. We didn't call. We didn't buy anything.

The worst possible auction house. I bought him merchandise 10 months ago, I paid for it on Sept/2019, but they sent it to me broken, due the worst packing job in all world. I made the claim and PayPal refunded my money on Oct/2019. And now, July 2020, 10 months later, they demand that I have not paid them. That is a scam attempt.

Drove a long way to find storefront closed. No hours posted. Sign says open online only. Sucks.

The shipment price they proposed is unreasonable.

This seems to be a fake auction house. They set the estimates from $100- thousands of dollars (3k,10k,20k.) and then pass on items that are not bid on high enough. It is a best practice to set the reserve price BELOW the low estimate. I watched hundreds of lots pass that were bid thousands ABOVE the low estimate of $100. I called when my bid of $300 was not accepted for a lamp estimated from $100-3k and the man on the phone screamed at me for bidding "too low, too low" for an "antique." He asked me if I knew it was an antique? As though I would put a higher price and bid against myself becuase I would never pay less than $300 for an antique? My principles do not work like that. I used to work for Christie's auction house, and let me know tell you.... this is not how auctions run. This is a store, putting up items for sale and then not selling them when they do meet their very high reserves ( that have nothing to do with the opening bid price or low estimate.) It is wrong to start estimate at $100 and set the hidden reserve at 6k. They should set the low estimate above their reserve and stop this inane practice.
