Favorite Thrift Store giving fashionista vibes. I get so much good stuff here. Girls that work there are a pleasure to deal with. I go almost everyday because they are always putting out new stuff. Highly Recommend!!!

Great place to hunt for cute clothes. Most are in good condition and above. The prices aren't bad either. I always leave with a good haul such as the cute dress posted.

Great store if you are looking for used clothing in contemporary styles. I was shocked by how many pairs of blue and black jeans they had. There was a lot of hollister, shein, forever 21, urban outfitter, American eagle, Zara, garage and more, all at reasonable prices.

An amazing idea! To be able to walk into a store and sell your lightly used items for cash on the spot it excellent. The store was very organized with tags and prices marked on all items. Fitting rooms were spacious and there were so many customers that I waited 1 hour to checkout butvbit was worth it. I bought 47items spent $100 and saved $250 in sales and clearance reduced tags.

Used clothing store on Route 46 in Fairfield. The line to buy back used clothes was long and the kiosk said 3 hours on a Sunday afternoon. There are about 20 racks of clothes 70% women’s and 30% men’s. Lots and lots of shoes and accessories as well. Prices are reasonable for used clothes. Staff were busy and helpful. Would come back again.

Giving 3 stars because overall I do love Plato's Closet. I think it's a great place to buy clothes and it's great for the environment. However, this is the closest PC to me and it's still 45 mins away with tolls. Every single time I come here to sell, even if I get there early, they tell me it's a 5+ hour wait. I get it's not the employees fault, they are severely understaffed so this is definitely a manager/owner problem. This past Saturday I got there maybe an hour after opening and still they told me it would be a 6 hour wait after I handed over my bags. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought maybe they were just saying that to stray people away. After 2 hours of browsing clothing that had stains, rips and damage to them, I decided to just ask for my belongings back because I knew I'd be waiting for 6 hours and then they'd just try to offer me like $30. Totally not worth it. The Edison location is always great and the staff there are always friendly. The longest I've waited is 45 mins for them to go through my stuff and they never offer me less than $50.

If you're coming here to find something specific that is guaranteed to be like new, this is a good place to do so. Don't expect great prices though. I do find that Plato's closet has a really good selection of shoes, which most thrift stores do not have. I've bought two pairs of suede pumas from here. Keep in mind that shoes, purses and jewelry cannot be returned. Now that they've opened their fitting rooms back up, Plato's closet is a much better place to shop. If you're selling anything here, come with a very low expectation. Every time I bring clothes here I'm baffled at what they choose to take. Some of the things, like a pair of vintage Levi's, that I was sure they would take they did not, yet they took a green wool gap sweater. Very confusing. My advice is to just bring everything and see what they take and be happy with what you get. Do not come here expecting to make big bucks, you would be better suited selling quality clothing on Facebook marketplace if you want to make money. Plato's closet has an option to send you a text message once they have looked through the clothing or selling, so that is very convenient. Come early in the morning to sell your clothes, otherwise the wait will be insane. However, if you're coming back after a few hours it doesn't really matter when you come, but their buying hours end at 3:00.

I love the stuff that they have but the store really needs to be more taken care of, there’s sooo much stuff on the ground everytime I go. The floor is really make up of crumbs, garbage, and dirt. Every article of clothing is always falling off a hanger. The staff are pretty okay, some of them completely ignore you when you ask about something but others are very nice.

Honestly buying clothes from there it's hit or miss but as for trading in your items they pick and choose what they want and don't give you a fair price I gave in never used zara jeans got less than $10 for them never again

If you are trying to sell clothes, it will be disappointing. Mostly you will leave with 90% of the clothes you brought after waiting 2 hours. If you are not from around the area don’t waste your time. If you are close, give it a shot.
