There’s nothing like finding an unexpected gem while waiting for one’s antique shopping in Jersey. There is something quite special in an item that has a history and a story behind its life and purpose. Located off of Lafayette Avenue in Hawthorne, we discovered this establishment offering antiques, furniture, household goods, and collectibles. Upon arriving at the entrance in the back, which might look small from the outside, Then and Now Consignment Shop with its floor-to-ceiling and in every nook and cranny, items come in all shapes and sizes, and finding the perfect one for your collection can be a real accomplishment. My partner and I came here looking for something to put our artificial, realistic flowers in. Already have our eyes on a couple of items and finally found a beautiful glass vase at a reasonable price. This is all worth a visit and has enough stock to keep collectors of all manner of items happy, which we can recommend.

Charming with some really nice quality pieces. Already have my eye on a couple of items. The baptism outfits were touching. Some very cute dolls from an earlier era. The crockery and tea sets were pretty and sturdy. In some ways it felt like going back in time, in a nice way. Perfect for adding those classic vintage touches.

Best place ever to find vintage items at reasonable prices. People there are very helpful and friendly. They really no how to price items right to "move" their inventory. I go back to shop there near every weekend and find a new arrival nearly every time I go. Great place.

It might look small from the outside, but it’s a sizable treasure trove inside. Hard to find the entrance - you’ll have to go to the back. The owners are very friendly and always there. You’ll find an eclectic mix of advertising signs and displays, old typewriters, antique books, period clothing and just fun things from the past. Prices are very democratic and they credit cards as well

This place is a treasure box. I lost a sense of time wandering around, you can find anything and everything. Such nice & kind people. You can feel their pride, fun, love and care throughout the store. Sam was above & beyond my unreasonable request so that I can have what I liked.
