Fabulous place to obain gently used furnishings, construction materials, fixtures, and more!

Everyone was really friendly. Two of the employees helped me put heavy furniture into the truck I rented and had useful advice on how to pack everything safely for travel. Several employees let me know about different discounts I could be eligible for too. The quality of all the furniture was great with a lot of solid wood and glass options. A little damage on some things, but that's to be expected with second hand items. The furniture is much cheaper than what you could get new or at an antique store too. Example: A full size china cabinet for $75 that I wouldn't be surprised to see being sold for 700 somewhere else.

Great place to find some pre-loved furniture and home goods.  The staff were very friendly. As of today, there is 20% off every Wednesday, 10% off normally for students and as much as 50% off at the end of each month for those from the area.

This place is amazing. The volunteers there are so helpful. We have saved so much moneys by getting furniture and house stuff from them and it helps build homes for those in need!

The customer service was exceptional, amenities appreciated (free coffee!), and prices affordable.  I haven't been in the capital region long but one of my favorite places so far has been the Habitat ReStore.

This is a large restore with a lot of furniture in it. I was very surprised. I went looking for a very specific item and was able to find exactly what I was looking for (results may vary I am sure). There is everything from chairs to kitchen cabinets here. My purchase was a solid wood book case, oak finish, two shelves for $25. I consider that a great price.

Always a fun experience coming here! Great selection of vintage furniture, light fixtures and dishes. Now they have music albums, cds and sheet music! A good mix of home furnishings! Awesome prices too!

Great place to donate when you've finished a remodel. Staff helpful.  Recommend checking with staff on what they are accepting - they can't take things that won't move out of the store.

Awesome staff and selection. Prices are great. Most pieces are in great condition. In addition, they have wide variety  of furniture,housewares,appliances,
antiques,glassware,tools,collectibles and more.  We frequent this store at least 1x weekly. Their inventory changes rapidly during to low prices so if you see something you like,buy it, because it will most likely not be there.

I love the Restore! Hidden treasures every day! I found two fabulous Harden pieces!

We have gotten several pieces of furniture here and always a good deal.  I would say check back often because there are always new pieces of furniture for sale.

Review for their donation center. Compared with Goodwill and Salvation Army (the area stores) they seem to be much better managed. They do have some standards on donated items, but it seems to be logical and methodical. I feel things here are helpful for the community because of the way they manage resources.

I got there at quarter to ten got paid for this furniture major argument with a woman manager stepped in and all I can say is good things come to those who wait I was blessed Habitat for Humanity it's number one in my book.. Manager Rich Hochheimer... Got me an even better deal so remember good things come to those who wait so young lady your temper tantrum worked out for my better thank you have a nice day

This is an amazing store with items prices to move in excellent, clean condition! I found the prices more than reasonable, but you'd better be there everyday in order to grab stuff before it flies out! Be ready to park across the street and cross four busy lanes also because there is minimal parking and it's usually full due to their great deals!

Cheap. No new furniture, but all sorts of stuff at all price points and all quality levels. Stock changes frequently, so fun to stop by every week. Helpful staff.

GREAT selection of furniture, cabinets, tile, carpeting, lighting, appliances, kitchenware, etc. Super-friendly and cheerful staff and volunteers. Because this place is busy, the parking lot can fill up - so use the free strip mall parking lot across the street if necessary. Just be careful crossing Fuller St.

I couldn't recommend the Restore more highly for buying anything household related. They have furniture, appliances, tools and construction materials, and now even a gift shop with pots & pans, books, and anything else you can imagine.

I renovate homes for a living, and around half the tools and materials I use I find at the restore, for anywhere between 10% and 50% of their price anywhere else. Seriously... 10%!

Their volunteers are extremely friendly and helpful; I couldn't ask for a better experience shopping there, and interacting with all the wonderful people that generously donate their time to Habitat for Humanity. I look forward to seeing some of them each week I go in.

Their inventory changes all the time, so it's worth going in on a regular basis to look around and see what's changed. I'd say around 1/3 of their inventory is brand new (or looks that way), even with the discounted price. Definitely worth checking out!

If your the type of person who believes in the saying another man's trash is another man's treasure this is the place for u they have tons of great stuff I've bought lots of decorations from there for dirt cheap ! I never leave empty handed

I have been to this store numerous times.  First time I went was to check it out, I had heard about it from a friend.  Then I started donating items.  I have picked up a couple of great pieces as well.  Once I bought a metal bedframe, when I got it home realized it was an Ikea piece and it didn't have all of the necessary hardware (you can't rig Ikea pieces).  I brought it back the next day (along with the print outs that I got online) and they gladly accepted it back.  I will continue to support this store in everyway!

WOW! Great prices on SO Many Great items. I have to try and prevent myself on going too much! Go here when you need just about anything household wise.

Great place to poke around....very much like a typical thrift store (furniture, housewares, paintings, LPs) with the added bonus of some home improvement items and leftovers.  Prices are fair and people there are nice and helpful!

We recently donated a bunch of stuff to the restore and it went quite well. There was a hiccup when we emailed to get approval for donating stereo components but then showed up and was told they don't take electronics any more. But they explained and said they'd have a word with the person who'd incorrectly said yes. They made suggestions on who would take it. They were helpful and pleasant during every exchange.

The selection isn't really that great since they've moved and it seems like a lot less now but what they do have is decent stuff.

This is a great, "hidden" (Not really) place for great inexpensive finds. Redoing my garage to add more storage and found a older, but in very good shape kitchen cabinet set for $99. Plus, the money goes towards a really great cause, Habitat For Humanity. Recommend it.

They have alot of different items.
We were looking at a Matching Chair and Sofa for $225 and it was purchased by someone else as soon as we sat on it! I'll be returning to shop again. 😊

In comparison to the restore in Columbia County this place is very reasonable. We bought a sofa, an oversized sofa rocker and a vintage wooden chair for my art studio, and spent less than 300 for quality items. I will definitely return. Thank you to the two young men from RPI who helped load our truck.

What an amazing store. I will definitely tell friends about it. My new favorite store. Prices are very fair, staff is helpful and friendly. Can't wait to go back.

While I love the concept of this place- I have yet to have a great experience. There is a vast selection of items- but I find the pricing to be a bit high. The one item I was excited to find/purchase I ended up putting back on the shelf as there was no one at the check out area and wasn't willing to wait behind the 4 other people also waiting to pay. (It was a simple chrome soap dish- nothing I couldn't live without)

Started shopping here over a year ago and prices were VERY reasonable. I purchased many pieces of quality used furniture here for fair prices. However, as of last Fall/Winter the prices have gone up an exorbitant amount for the same quality furniture/appliances. The skepticist in me thinks that there may be some behind the scenes pocket padding going on. I say this because a few months back we inquired about the price on a small recliner chair to an employee named Christopher who walks around like he owns the place. We showed him the chair and he gave a crazy high price out of thin air and replied "if you don't take it then I can just sell it somewhere else for more." I'll let anyone reading this make their own judgments as to what to take from this. As a whole they have really nice used items (I have never seen new furniture as they claim to have, but have seen new bathtubs/toilets/tile etc...) and it is well organized, but with the way the prices have been going up and up it is no longer economical for the average middle income adult to purchase from here unless you go on a day when they have special discounts. Might as well spend the same amount and buy new!

Was here today and little girl with the attitude that was running the register shouldn't be working with the public. Rude and disrespectful. And who would pay $65 for a coat rack because it is "good quality" at a thrift store??? Went to Home Goods and found a coat rack of "good quality" for half the price and cuter.

They use to be good, since they moved across the street almost everything is overpriced and sits in the store for weeks or months needing multiple markdowns before it’s sold. I found items that are from Dollar Tree marked $4, I told the cashier and she looked up from scrolling on her phone and said “I don’t make the prices” and went back to scrolling. Even their sales are mediocre, they always had 50% off sales, now they only do 25% sales after marking the stuff up too high to begin with. The store looks like it’s running out of room because they’re not selling enough. I thought they were great because they were keeping stuff out of the landfills, but since their prices are so high now they can’t take donations half the time so people just have to put their furniture out on garbage night.

Bought a cabinet set from here, they were great for an okay price. Only help I got from staff was to the register, we struggled bringing it down the steep ramp to our trailer. Then the guy at the loading dock with the green shirt told us to move our trailer as we're loading, commenting we're not the only ones shopping. As we finished up he started yelling at someone else dropping off donations telling them to let staff park the vehicle for him cause he's not doing it right. Not sure if he's the owner or manager but he definitely needs to get checked.

Last time I was here, they were located on the other side of Fuller road. Things have changed & not for the better. Even with payment in full, unwilling to hold sofa until following weekend, I had to come Wednesday. Some surly little woman kept repeating, "It would be better if you took it today." Yeah, I heard you the 1st 10x. The furniture is no longer fumigated & the prices are crazy. They have a green sofa "Originally $1500, ReStore Price $600." ReStores stock comes from donations, so originally $0. Is someone who can afford a $600 sofa shopping at Restore?

The director has no clue what he's doing and is the exact reason the store keeps going downhill like crazy.

Went to the new location across the street twice now. It’s awful. Inventory has been cut by what seems to be about 75%. Hardly anything there. It’s sad because the warehouse used to be amazing.

Can you be more specific about the nature of your interaction?  I just checked in with the three women who are working or volunteering in the store right now, and none of them could identify an exchange with a customer that would warrant this aggressive of a comment.

The attitude of employee (girl) needs a swift kick in the A$$. Extremly rude and not friendly.

Our hours have changed a lot over the years because of changes in staffing, location moves, COVID, etc., so there is a lot of misinformation out there on search engines, which we have done our best to rectify.  The hours on our official website and facebook page will always be correct.  Call or doublecheck our feed around holidays to be aware of any special closings.

Make sure you check hours, and call even though it can be impossible to get ahold of anyone. Often closed when they say they are open. Not a great selection and overpriced but sometimes you can find something. Should and could be a lot better. Huge missed opportunity.

Went to the new location across the street from the old one and boy was I disappointed. The selection was lousy, what they did have was ridiculously overpriced, and to top it all off the place smells like mildew/mold. Maybe the one in Schenectady is in better shape so I’ll check it out but my hopes aren’t too high. Very disappointed and needless to say I left empty handed. It’s too bad because it used to be a good experience.

Wanted to drop off my old but barely used entertainment center I paid good money for years ago and I pulled up to unload it and they said they aren’t taking any more donations today so I went in to look around and they had plenty of room for it then another gentleman came in with kitchen cabinets and they said sure we will take those don’t waste your time or money with this place was trying to help out and give but I guess they don’t want good stuff I see this place closing for good in the future

I wish I could give it zero stars right now, I went in to try to buy a bedframe and was offered no help and a ton of condescension from the worker here. I even said to him that this was the first time I was trying to buy some thing from the re-store by myself. His condescension makes me want to not buy anything from here ever again.

I have no idea who the worker was, but he was an old man working at around 2 o’clock on 5/12/22

Super rude guy, possibly the manager, working around 12:30 PM on 12/4/21.  My kid was playing with one of the pianos and he came over in a huff and yelled at him to get off.  It's their property so it's whatever, but maybe don't put the grumpy librarian in a public facing retail position.

Be careful buying appliances here. Bought a lawn mower and it didn’t work. Cost be $40 and they would not return it. Called corporate and reported to BBB.

I am very very upset at the Albany store the gentleman Chris that ran the little gift shop as I Call it is one of the most polite kindest gentle man I have ever met he kept that room looking wonderful not only
his room but try to keep the entire store looking good now that they let him go I will no longer be shopping there neither will the rest of my family. I always mentioned Chris’s name to everyoneWhen I send them there I will no longer be recommending people to go to the Albany store

They have drastically changed, now open just 4 days (closed 3 days a week!) and prices have doubled or tripled. I can honestly say that discount retailers such as Huck Finns are a much better option. What a shame.

Save your time and money and go to local garage and estate sales. Old damaged furniture priced for hundreds of dollars. For donated goods? No thank you.  I understand the “proceeds” go towards building homes, that doesn’t mean you have to rip people off. I would be more inclined to donate directly and purchase items if things were more fairly priced.

It's a great concept and I would like to support habitat, but everything is so over priced! They wanted hundreds of dollars for BROKEN furniture, outdated electronics cost more than buying the same thing brand new! Not to mention the parking is awful!

Not enough parking spaces, very high prices on old junk.  Examples 225 for a broken barstool style chair, 20 dollars for outdated computer monitors, ancient appliances with pricetags comparable to new appliances.  Would have better luck at a yard sale possibly even a dumpster. Will not be back.

if you want rude hippie assholes .specially  when you ask for a price.. this is the right place...straigh up rip off selling garbage for top dollars. not to mention those items are donated .then this jerks sell them, waaay too high. another scummy "charity" store. if your kooking for something  decent  at a grate price always  keep an eye on craiglist. .....i mean this "people" at habitat  had a couch for 800$!!!!!!pffft.!!they most be out of their mind . NON PROFIT ORGANIZATION! !!riiiiiight....
