Plato's Closet Albany

I totally love this place and really miss it in Albany when it was in Hannaford plaza Mall on Central Ave which by the way has a lot of store openings for rent. I've been coming to them for years and the owner and I became good friends over the years and they take very good care of you there even if you were a first timer I highly recommend this for the public to find clothing accessories and other great quality shoes, coats and accessories. The prices are awesome and if you want to take your gently used clothing there will help you out and give you cash. Plato's is the go to spot in the capital region if you want to look great for any occasion or anything ... And gets extremely high quality product and and get it at the most awesome prices receiving great awesome customer service from Plato's staff .. which is my favorite part of going there... Great experience at the Central Ave store. First,the woman who helped me let me sell two bags today as a walk in, which was great because I want aware sometimes you need an appointment. Next the gentleman who evaluated the pocketbooks I came to sell first explained to me that he did really like them and would be willing to buy, and told me upfront he might not give me much as I might want. He gave me two other options to try and sell them to make more because he told me upfront that he didn’t want me to feel taken advantage of! I ended up getting more than I anticipated and felt like I was kept in the loop, something that I feel is above and beyond what was needed. 10/10 recommend! I know NO other businesses where they keep you in the loop the way he did and didn’t pressure me to sell or low ball me. They were personable and reasonable. I will be returning.

Excellent customer service. I was assisted by an employee and one of the managers in finding some casual summer wear for my vacation. Prices were excellent and quality of clothing exceeded other thrift options. Will definitely be coming back.

Went to this Plato’s closet to sell some of my older clothes and also decided to shop there. I ended up getting a super cute long sleeve shirt and a necklace for a great price!! The employees are very helpful and the selling process is also very organized and easy to do. This is especially a great place to go as a college student like me who doesn’t have a lot to spend, there’s a wide variety of clothing including some nice name brand finds! Highly recommend to anyone looking to shop on a budget or sell their clothing.

First I was little worried due to all the reviews. But it's mostlikely that people where just Salty that their stuff wasn't accepted. I bought a couple of bags with slightly used to new Items in and we agreed on a Bulk buy! Gary and the Rest of the staff where super friendly, helpful and respectful. I can encourage everyone to visit this places 😁 Pro Tipp: whe. You want to sell your stuff, drop it of nice to. + thrift stores have to sell it at a good Deal for them too, consider that when you think of a number 🙂.
