I attended an estate sale hosted by the owner of this business and witnessed her turn down numerous sales on multiple items stating " I would never accept that, I can sell it in my shop for double" when it was the last sale day and the prices were still really high for an estate sale. Her prices were way too high for an estate sale and she really didn't budge. I also witnessed her dicker with a woman who was trying to purchase three items and when the woman said no and walked out the door; Colleen, the creator of the sale, gave a lewd hand gesture in front of everyone in the direction of the customer. It was so rude a man literally called her out and told her she was a poor business owner to be treating people the way she was. I attend estate sales all the time and this was a beautiful home full of great things, obviously if the owners instructed her to draw a hard bargain, I understand but her behavior was just beyond that. I also overheard her saying "I can size people up, I used to sell real estate." She also said "It depends on my mood" when people would ask her about prices. She was so unprofessional and I was so appalled by her behavior that I decided to write this review. It's my opinion that she didn't sell things to willing customers in order to take all the good items from the sale to her shop after getting them at a discount from the owners and turn a larger profit. I would not recommend her for estate sales, she does not have the owner's interest in the forefront, she was only concerned about herself & her shop. I only have the name of her shop to write this review because her cards were advertised everywhere throughout the home and she kept mentioning it. I guess self promotion isn't always the best policy when your behavior isn't professional.
I am sorry but I'm afraid a bad situation was blown out of proportion. It is true I own my shop but I would never unless offered to buy take anything for me or my shop. It is my job to sell everything to the best of my ability for my client at the best possible prices but I will not be bullied into selling something of Value for next to nothing Because of the last day of the sale. I would be doing my client as huge disservice.
