My son is a huge fan of Collector Cave. I managed to grab the last Pokémon Elite Trainer Box from them for his birthday, and it made us so happy to give him the perfect gift. The gentleman who rang me up was extremely helpful and friendly.

Please if your time says ur open at 10 am on website and 11 am on google maps please be open at that time but no real problem

I stopped by to drop off a stack of 75 postcards advertising an event at my son's school. Javier greeted me with a friendly demeanor, and took the postcards to leave out for his customers. I look forward to visiting again soon with my son.

When attempts to buy The Funko Pop (VERY RARE) Devil Dinosaur failed me on eBay due to a Sellers incompetence of Communication and also the incompetence of the USPS completing their job. I looked up Comic Book Stores near me in The Bronx and came up on the Collector Cave. I walked in with my son and met Javier and asked if he could order Devil Dinosaur for me, he looked up his contacts of Vendors and found one available and ordered it for me and after a payment and 2 weeks later I received it.

My son and I are very Happy and will continue with Collector Cave as our go to Comic Shop.

Best comic book/toy store and retro games  store I've ever been to, friendly staff, great selection and knowledgeable staff highly recommend, they also have a second location in ridgeHill. I have not yet visited that location, but heard great things...

So for years I been trying to find the model.. creature from the black lagoon...I went into this large comic book store and there it is the gill man also other movie monsters..these are not models that you can put together but they are still great.

Great customer service! For New Release Comics; A+ grade simply for their selections in different titles and New Release variant covers. However, a C grade on pricing for POP figures and back issue variants. You can find these items cheaper elsewhere. Fortunately for me, I only go for their New Release comics and Customer Service.

This store is a Gem. Great variety of Toys, Comics, Statues and one of the kind stuff for collectors. I have also preordered stuff from them like Marvel Legends and they always come through. Super cool little store! A ton of comics and they have a massive dollar comic section. And if you want any pop, they have a ton of really unique and rare ones. Comic books and figurines, and pop. That's about all they have, but they have it in excess. Stop down if you need any of those. And the man who was working while we stopped by knew a ton and was super nice.

Great local comic shop where i get most of my new books weekly. The guys are nice and i love talking all things comic and superhero when I'm there. Nice place to meet up with like minded locals and enjoy an often underappreciated "hobby". Store is great size especially since taking over the new place. Was shocked how much they had to offer for Funko pops and figures. Lots of pops!! Always clean and nice time whenever I visit!

Comic shops are becoming more scarce, the big ones are in Manhattan and the outer boroughs. This is the only one I know of in the bronx, they have a great selection from comics to toys . The owners and staff are knowledgeable and friendly, if you create a pull list of 5 books or more they offer 20% off your list.

Helpful staff who will go out of their way to help you with what you need. Great assortment of new comics and action figures. It's a small space but they're always finding new items to display. A good stop for super fans of comics and funkos.

Great Staff, They have many rare funko pieces. I collect alot of Afro-funkos aswell as odds & end ones. They have the best Funko collection in the Bronx. I must say.

This store is amazing! It has spectacular staff, stupendous products, and also has good choices to start out with if you want to be a collector, like I do. I got my first retro video game here, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Genesis.

I recently started reading  comic books again after a long 15 year stay away, i came back into the comic book realm interested in  picking up with the titles i read as a youth throughout the 90's and some new characters that have been added since the last series i read, originally i arrived interested in the rebirth series and knowing that i arrived in September, keep in mind a few months after the series had already begun, not only did they keep me up to date but made sure i had my series complete with back issues, when i said i needed a new series complete with back issues it was at location the very next Wednesday, complete, from number 1 to wherever DC's rebirth series was up to, they hold my comics! they make me feel welcomed! they are very outgoin! and they get me the titles that i want at a reasonable price which is very important!!!!

Bought a new release signed SIKTC and they sent me an unsigned copy - these things can happen. I reached out to get the correct item I paid for and they said they'd replace it, but only after I send the wrong book back and they've received it.

Not a big deal but a lot sellers would let you keep the wrong book as an apology - but whatever, it's a business so I get it.  I sent the book back in better packaging than I received it.

I checked in a few days later and was told that they have a lot of orders and it would go out soon. Fine. 3 days later, the book arrives.

Correct book finally in my possession but came with a not small semi-color breaking spine tick and a CoA for a different artist. QC needs a hard looking in to.

Had a different contact at Collector Cave reach out to me and acknowledge the difficulties I had during this order. A little acknowledgment goes a long way, and compensation was provided. Suffice to say, I've updated my rating to 4 stars.

Our go to spot for all things toys and collectibles. I am a big kid at heart anyways, so this place fits the bill. As for my son....he's the reason this gem was even found. Friendly staff, great pricing an overwhelming selection of the lastest comic releases and two locations!

Very clean store layout, well-lit, lots of inventory and stock. They make amazing use of their limited space.  Lots of Pop figurines as well as comic books.

Staff are all very nice and knowledgeable. This store has lots of POPs and some old hard to find games. It’s really a one stop shop for games and comics and pop culture things. They always participate in the free comic day events in the spring and fall. Cool place.

I will admit there prices are good, it is a very clean shop and a family friendly environment. My Main problem is costumer services all ways feels like your pulling there teeth when you ask them for something or about something. Except for John he's the guy with sunglasses and wrestling tee's, great guy when I see him at the register I know I'm gonna have a good day at the shop.

Place looks nice but I was a bit disappointed.
I asked on their Instagram page if they were going to do magic tournaments and they said yes but when I went in person the owner said they weren't going to.

They also mentioned doing yugioh and pokemon tournaments soon but it's been 2-3 months since that interaction and still nothing.

Seems like a lack of communication or something. Everything else about the store looks great though. I recommend going there for comics and video games.

Small store.  New comic books are hoarded.  I got there on opening time on a Wednesday,  and the "hot books" were sold out.   The store also opened an hour and a half late. Very unprofessional and inconsiderate.   The staff however, is very nice.  I would recommend this comic store.  Not many choices as comic stores are a dying breed.  More must be done to attract new readers.

t I've been coming for a while since it and around it has changed. I wished you know, there was a little more customer  service, I always say, I haven't. I always like this To this place for a while I And I wish they will at least ask me you know what was looking for or anything Maybe at least so I can help with anything.

Lost a customer guys. My daughter likes to save her allowance to buy marvel legends. Ive been taking her to collectors cave to get her figures. They are usually a few dollars more then most stores. But I take her there anyway because they have a good selection. But now they are jacking up the price on what they say are rare figures. Not cool to do to children guys. While in the store my daughter chose the Ronin character. I get to the counter and they say $29 and change. I looked on my phone and saw Amazon prime for same character is 19. Then I noticed a 3 pack Magneto Scarlet Witch and Quick Silver for 85. Amazon prime $59. For now on its Amazon Prime for us. By the way I also found another comic store in Harrison that has a great selection and charges less as well. Jacking up the price on toys is real low. Be a savy shopper and check online while in a store.

They scam you on ebay. Pre ordered Funkos from July of 2024, and mind you. I pre ordered these in like May, it's been like 6-7 months now. I've messaged them constantly. They tell me to contact ebay to get a refund. I COULDN'T GET A REFUND FROM EBAY, CAUSE IT HAD BEEN TOO LONG. They told me they'd ship me some other funkos from their store instead. So I told them which ones I wanted. Guess what? Still haven't gotten them. Messaged them multiple times, no response. Their communication is absolutely POOR. I wouldn't recommend anyone to shop from here. They clearly don't care about their customers. They'll probably reply back to this like they do to other negative reviews and tell me what I did wrong when I did nothing wrong. They just lied in their post about when they were gonna ship.

Hey Jon, sorry for your experience but you came in with a bunch of $1 90's books looking for $1000 in store credit. Issue #1 of New Mutants is a $15 book max in NM condition and is also nothing special at all. You had one decent book being the New Mutants Annual 2 but that's also nothing special, $30 max NM. When you called Monday, I mentioned I'm only looking for key issues which you said you had a bunch of but when you came in you had nothing key. I also specifically told you I'm only there on Monday, but the guy will look over your books and let me know what you have. And I made it very clear even for store credit I WILL NOT JUST PURCHASE ANYTHING. If your lot has no key issues, we won't purchase it. Giving you $1,000 store credit for your 90's lot would be a huge lose to our business. This is why I always make these things VERY CLEAR before you come down to the store and waste any time. 

I’ve been collecting comics since 83.. I’ve been to this store a couple of times recently and maybe when he opened he had some good comics but his inventory is sub par .. both of the times going in to the store the owner wasn’t exactly very good at customer service he was begrudgingly rude .. so I decided to maybe surprise him with some comics I called on a Monday and we scheduled to meet for Thursday .. come Thursday he’s not there and his employee said he won’t be in .. so the bag of comics I prepared i started to show him the new mutants daredevils X-men uncanny and double size.. I was waiting to see if they were serious about store credit .. not even cash I was asking for store creditttttttttt… had the kid looked in the bag he would have seen I had 4 issue 1 new mutants .. 2 ninja turtles Eastman and Laird … alll white pagesss but as the employee is smiling looking through what I showed him already which mind you he creased My number 2 issue of new mutants .. his boss begrudgingly texted him and told him too tell me that they were dollar comics .. I was trying to save myself the trouble of getting these comics graded  as well as supporting a small business in my neighborhood .. if you’re looking for funkopop this is the place to go .. as far as comics you might find a new mutants issue 1 in his dollar bin

You came in with incomplete consoles wanting cash. I also don’t have to buy anything from anyone. If I bought everyone’s junk we’d be out of business. Theres a reason no one is buying your stuff. 

Don't bother trading/selling games here. Everytime I stop by they keep changing their minds on what type of games/consoles or accessories they want to buy so it's just a waste of my time and potentially your time.

To add, today they didn't want to buy cause they're "pressed for money" due to comic con this month which shouldn't be the customers problem when you told me you'd be interested in taking in some of my consoles and games prior.

These guys have been waiting my time for a couple of years and the few times they want to buy they sometimes try to low-ball me compared to other games or used shops.

Would give this place a zero if i could. Owner was of no help. Came to ask for some help to understand what i was looking at as far as comics. Did not even take two minutes to look and said i have no interest of going through your things while barely looking at me the entire time. Terrible customer service would never recommend you get anything from this place. If it is of no interest to the owner he doest not give you time of day.

I placed an order that took more than a year to arrive, and by the time it was delivered, I had completely forgotten about it. Opening the package was a pleasant surprise, but unfortunately, the Funkos inside were damaged beyond repair. I reached out to their support team via email three days ago and have not received a response yet. Based on this experience, I strongly recommend avoiding ordering from them. I've already shared this with several friends and my WhatNot viewers.

Ordered 2 items from them after seeing their ad on FB for free shipping. I didn’t see that the items were listed as pre-order a month after they were released in stores until after I had purchased but didn’t think anything of it since they’re not rare or hard to find items and figured it just be a couple weeks. However we’re now 2 1/2 months after the items release and 2 weeks after the listed pre-order month and the items not only haven’t shipped but I can’t even get a date to expect them to be shipped. Items were listed as May pre-order even though they dropped April 1st. It’s now June 8 and they say they still haven’t received the items and threatened me with a 15% fee for canceling a pre-order even though we’re well past the posted pre-order date. I do not recommend giving these people your business at all but especially for online orders.

They informed me they still hadn’t received my items and have no idea when I could expect them to arrive. They did offer an online credit which I denied because I want what I paid for an online credit wouldn’t honor the free shipping promo I originally placed my order with forcing me to either choose lesser items or pay more for shipping. They must’ve gotten tired of hearing from me every 2 weeks because they refunded my money but still took their fee for cancelling even though I didn’t cancel. They failed to deliver. It’s 100% a scam to get your money then force you to either take an online credit for things they can’t sell in store or steal your money with a cancellation fee.

Do not order anything from these ppl. They will flat out ignore contact with you, they will ghost you, they will lie. Won’t check their emails, but will call you a liar if you even show them proof you sent emails. So unprofessional, do not waste your time and money. Too many honest and professional companies out there!!!

Terrible place to order online customer service is un-responsive. Figures are over priced.

They still can't fulfill my order even they over charged $15 more of the product while you can get the same item in other stores for a cheaper price.

Their only excuse is chain supply issue for the delay while other small or large stores have already stocked them a weeks ago.

Kevin doesn’t understand we’re a Small Business and Target and all the big box stores get shipping priority because they order thousands of units which was thoroughly explained. Which is also the reason Target can charge less than all us Small Business.  When we place orders with wholesalers we are not allowed to cancel therefore there’s a 10% fee on cancellations because we will now be stuck with the stock we ordered for the customer. Communication was clear about this to Kevin and told us he rather shop at Target.

Our policy is the same as all other Small Business collector shops.

Don’t be like Kevin and support small business!

I'd caution against preordering anything from them.
I preordered 3 action figures scheduled for March release.  The prices were higher than retail which I find is fairly common in comic and collector shops...  But I (wrongly) assumed the shop would receive the figures at release since they are a collector shop and have direct access to the distributor.  And then ship them to me.  Imagine my frustration at seeing the very items I preordered available on the shelf at Target.... For cheaper than I paid.  And I had yet to receive any sort of shipping information.  I had to email the shop for an explanation and was told they were waiting on a figure... That was already released and available elsewhere.  So I requested to cancel the preorder.  I was told there is a 10% order cancellation/restock fee... Which is confusing since said item wasn't actually in stock.  After a caddy exchange I was charged 10% for the order cancellation.  I have since gotten the figures in hand for less than the original charge of this order...  Including the 10%.
I've read through various other reviews and see this isn't a wholly uncommon issue with this shop.  And it's also not uncommon for them to respond with more caddy nonsense.  I find this to be a poor response for a business.  So I caution you to avoid this shop for preorders.  Who knows when you'll receive them.  They this shop is going to try to get your money any way...  So be careful.

So this "business" likes to retort to their bad reviews.  If you look through the load of bad reviews you will see this sad activity.  Instead of arguing with former customers try to be a better business and move on.  They like to cast aspersions and make the reviewer seem like the one in the wrong when the business is offering a service that isn't realized.  The customers aren't happy.  Period.  Your quippy replies don't help anything.  So I'd given them a two star review...  But I've lowered it to one because they are so defensive.
Don't be like Collector Cave.  Be a good undefensive business.
