Awesome thrift shop to skim through. We try to go once a month or so to see what's new. Like any thrift store, the selection is hit or miss but, I can't believe people would really complain about that. They can only sell what they are provided. We've found a lot of cool gems here over the years and I like that they support the community in various ways. Happy to shop and donate here.

Great thrift store. You should find clothing, fabric, craft supplies, books, house repair stuff, jewelry, ect. All at amazing prices. They have sales sometimes too! You always find more than you think you will. Absolutely great store. The people working there are very friendly.

Absolutely the best place to get appliances cheap!  My dryer broke, I went there and found a dryer for $40. They also can deliver!  All sorts of things there- clothes, dishes appliances, and much more! GREAT PRICES IN TODAY'S ECONOMY!!!!!

Heaven on earth. Just like the one on Elmira Road, except they also have clothes. They truly have a little of everything, and the staff was very friendly. It is a place you can go back to over and over again.

Pretty awesome idea of reusing 'stuff'....every town should do this less in landfills....can find some great bargains and you never realized you were looking for IT in the first place....will always come back!$!

Just picked up a new rolling pin! The have lots of things from Comic books to skiing equipment to cooking utensils to video games. They've got clothes and shoes and books. Everything you want. All the best

Found exactly what I wasn't looking for. Plus they give you 3 days to come back with the right vehicle to pick up your purchase.

Love this place! Lots of junky looking stuff BUT one man's junk is another man's treasure. And there is treasure to be had here.  From cabinets to doors and windows. To desks of all kinds. Following. Hangers. Toys. Kitsch. I can spend half a day looking and finding wonderful bargains and treasures. Store is crowded but organized.  Staff ate helpful and friendly.  The best thing ever found here was by my guy. A 1937 Ford model car in pristine condition with working headlights, rotating wheels and more. $2. Go buy and see what you can find.

Great place for used home wares and clothes at really good prices. Donations are tax deductible too, so there's a benefit to offloading stuff you don't want.

This is a great place to shop. The people are very nice, there is a wide selection of items, the store is clean, and the prices are reasonable. They have books, household items, electronics, furniture, adult and baby clothes, and purses/luggage/backpacks.

Wow!!!  First time at ReUse.  Impressive!  Love that I can get any clothing for myself for only $3 an item.  Even jeans!  Fun!

Fine place to find fairly good used articles at very low prices. Lots of types and varieties. Must visit to experience by self. Staff is very dedicated, good and helpful.

Organized, good prices, helpful staff. Was at the downtown location iso a futon. Staff called the triphammer location and found what I needed!! Above and beyond!

This is a nonprofit organization that strives to help the community, economy, and the environment. As a relatively young organization, they are doing a great job of serving the community while creating living wage jobs and preventing unnecessary waste from entering the landfill. The ReUse Center is just one of their programs, along with the eCenter, a computer refurbishing and recycling program, and the Deconstruction Services, a program that disassembles buildings by hand, diverting up to 90% of materials from being thrown away. This organization does so much good for the community and the people that work and volunteer there some of the most caring, thoughtful, and responsible people you'll meet!

I love to make art from reclaimed materials.  When I was there I also saw some great kitchen tables and the perfect door for my garden shed.  Next door they even had used computers for sale.

Overall, it’s a great place, and I’ll be returning soon. I purchased a mid-2010 iMac, which works well. However, I noticed a discrepancy between the specs listed on the paper and the actual iMac. While most details are accurate, the CPU listed as an i5 is actually an i3. I suspect this was a typo. This mismatch is the reason I’m giving a 4-star rating instead of 5, as I bought the iMac under the assumption it had an i5 processor.

Wide ranging selection of home goods and was beyond happy to see they carry tube TVs and VHS tapes. Daily (or maybe it’s weekly?) discounts are also wonderful! Love to see it!

However despite having an entire separate mini store for clothing, they didnt have very much. Also the atmosphere is a bit off, just kind of a musky warehouse vibe.

I’d recommend coming here for furniture and home goods, but go to Thrifty Shopper if you’re looking for clothes. Also Thrifty Shoppers DVDs are a lil cheaper 🤫

The book section was amazing! Can't say much about the rest of the store because it was rather dirty and there really wasn't much other stuff there, other than junk. As for the books though... there was 3-5 aisles of books all carefully labeled and organized. Wonderful shopping experience there.

I enjoyed my experience right up until it was time to check out. The gentleman on register was quite rude, and extremely not helpful. He even made ME feel like I did something wrong by bothering to buy something. I will go there again, but if I see this person up front again I will likely leave.

Prices seem very cheap. Good selection of adult clothing. You can find some gems but a lot of the stuff here really is just junk.

These people are more organized every time I go.  Got an excellent egg beater today for $4.00, and less into the landfill!

Great idea that has grown and expanded to 2 locations. Too much goes under the bulldozer and into the landfill, and these folks recycle so much- household items, furniture, doors, moulding, and the proverbial kitchen sink, all for very reasonable prices.

A little nicer than the one in Ithaca. The store is a bit cleaner and more organized. They also seem to have better furniture and more quality items but as a result it's a bit more expensive.

We were looking for used fireplace tools and found so many other cool things instead! So much stuff and such a variety of good used household and home merchandise. Very inexpensive!

Very unique store a little bit of everything one-1 negative  was they sell used battery chargers for tools and they don't even know if the chargers work or not. Other than that I had a great time in the store and probably spent at least 40 minutes there and did purchase something

This is a nice place to wander through and find treasures on the cheap. There are some nice pieces of furniture and new stuff every time I come. I found this place by accident a few years ago on a trip to Ithaca.

Nice thrift store, I found prices to be a bit high. Large selection, mostly clothing.

Where are all the tools. Looks like they made alot of changes. Not for the good in my opinion. There are enough second hand cloths stores in area allready, don't need another one.

At its inception the reuse center had some really great stuff for really fair prices. These days the stuff is generally of the "let me throw that away for you" category and prices are meh. But its always crowded so there are some people that really like merchandise.

I wish they would buy a local newspaper to look at prices once in a while. I see many used things in there that are listed at prices you can buy the same things for brand new around town. I have pointed it out many, many times to the people who work there but I get the same excuse every time.

Prices are out of control. Can get waaay better prices just shopping on ebay.

They are going downhill unfortunately, used to be my favorite place to go thrifting...not really anymore. My most recent visit I asked the cashier to pop a couple of the movies open (they are taped closed) just because I have bought so many scratched ones and was hoping to just make sure they werent scratched. The cashier assured me I was wrong...saying the tape symbolizes they have been checked. Offering to open one to prove me wrong. Which rubbed me the wrong way so I decided to offer to put them back. On top of the most recent interaction I have noticed their prices skyrocketing. With thrifty shopper and the other reuse center down town, I'd say pass on this store and go to the others. Really disappointing, I used to recommend this one to everyone I knew. If you don't mind a drive, I've had the best luck at the thrifty shopper in cortland!

This place is okay, as far as thrift stores go. The prices aren't bad and they carry a large variety of stuff. They seem to rotate through items pretty often, so there's always different stuff to look at.

I mainly go there for the clothing. I have a more retro style and can often find stuff that fits my aesthetic. If you're into more modern stuff, you won't find much as most of their items are at least 20 years old.

I occasionally browse the home items and décor but its very hit or miss. You have to search through aisle of junk to find the rare gem. Their furniture is very outdated and worn down- not really worth your time in my opinion.

The staff all seem to hate their jobs and aren't very pleasant. They seem to be majorly inconvenienced by having to ring out your purchases and just glare at you silently the entire time. I get that most people don't enjoy doing customer service though, so I can't blame them.

My main issues with this place is how dirty it is. I'm not sure if they wash the clothes before they put them out, but I have found pieces that have crusted food on them, stains, or the occasional dirty shoe print. They also often smell funny, but that could just be because they're older clothes. The other items definitely don't get cleaned. I always leave with my hands feeling grimy.

Overall, this place is far from my favorite thrift store, but it's not the worst I've been to. Something about it keeps me coming in, despite its issues.

I have to agree with the last review (by Sync Positive).  This place used to be much better, but over the last six months or so it has really fallen. I visit regularly and it used to be rare that I left without buying multiple items.  Now it's rare to find anything at all worth buying at the price they're asking and I usually leave empty-handed.
There is now very little turnover of the stuff on the shelves. I imagine slow donations are part of it (and can't really blame them for that), but the quality control and pricing is getting a bit ridiculous.  It used to be that things were priced reasonably for used items and would often go at the full asking price, while most of the rest would sell once discounted by 25%, then 50%, and finally 75%.  Now there are so many items that are priced so high for what they are worth that they still are overpriced by the time they are 75% off.
On a lot of items, they seem to be checking eBay and pricing items based on the higher end of what sellers there are asking rather than looking at the average price they actually *sell* for on eBay.  (Like the sad group of Beanie Babies that have been there for weeks at a starting price of $50 even though you can buy the same new set on eBay for under $10).
Then there is the quality control.  There are so many items that seem to be priced reasonably (still not cheap, but reasonable) until you realize that they are damaged.  Bowls with chips, figures missing hands, games missing integral pieces. I don't know if they don't realize they are damaged or if they don't know how much the damage lowers the value of the items, but either way, something is off with the pricing.
I don't get why things seem to be so much different at the downtown location - there, pricing can be a little inconsistent, but you can usually still find a lot of good deals.
Hopefully, they turn things around again, because their goals are admirable and they had things working better in the past.

I found that its hard to organize the amount of clutter they have. It's not totally their fault but just wow, overwhelming. Some of it is literally at the end of its use and should be recycled not reused. The prices are a little high as well, many of the items I looked at were priced close to the new value. I don't think I'll be making a special trip to stop in again anytime soon.

The prices is great workers are really nice but the whole 30$ for one trip lower level apt  in town I have two steps to get into my apt is a little ridiculous

Great store. Been going for many years. However - during our visit yesterday we gathered about 40 matching saucers from multiple aisles to make a set for my daughter. At the register, I asked if we could receive a discount for so many pieces that we pulled together. The associate said yes, counted them up, then DOUBLED the posted price, saying “I think these are worth a dollar apiece.” They were posted at 50 cents a piece. I was shocked and said - “you can’t DOUBLE the price!” And his response was “Actually, i’m the store manager and can do whatever I want.” I was floored and had to walk away. My daughter managed to assert the original price and left with the dishes. But this was an ugly experience and most definitely there’s a ‘management’ problem.

Being a new transplant from Midtown, Manhattan, I did not anticipate finding the pricing no less than the Goodwill on 23rd st and 3rd avenue. Many items were damaged, and they were charging boutique prices. So disheartening when non-profits have that turning point when the comforts of their staff become more important than their mission and purpose. Some jobs are supposed to be temporary learning experiences, not lifetime careers that provide for your retirement at the expense of everyone else. I'm not positive that that's what happening here, but it seems that way looking at their structure. Do not donate your items to this organization please, and do not gift to this "non-profit" please; they had that turning point over a year ago, according to these reviews, and obviously, they still don't get it. What a waste of gas.

The man working at the cashier was unfriendly. He ignored me multiple times for telling him that we are members before he made us to pay without the member discount. I said it’s okay to not have the discount but he couldn’t help but blaming me, an asian woman, for not telling him earlier instead of my white partner.

He ignored me three times and I lost my discount. I was ready to let it go but he kept going and blamed me for not telling him beforehand when we already said it was okay. We tried to not make him feel bad because he forgot to ask us before scanning and ignored me multiple times. For the record, he was really friendly to the white people before us and I was pleasant to him throughout.

This wasn’t the first unpleasant encounter with him but it was the first time that I felt singled out because of my skin color and gender.
If you are an Asian woman, avoid this store and go to their alternative location at elmira street instead. They would ask if you are a member for the discount and to sign up if not before scanning anything.

Prices are kind of high for old, dirty fans and other electronic items. Computers are over priced. Can get them on eBay better specs for half the price. Selling old beat up Teflon pans where the non stick is flaking. Non stick coating is toxic when ingested and selling these pans is bad because if someone doesn't understand this. Prices high on furniture that belongs in a dump. Only reason I go in is for cheap movies on vhs and DVDs.

Had a recent problem there that needed Manager attention. Tried to call her 2 times having to leave a message. She never got back to me. I consider this terrible customer service and no person should have her position if they can't make a simple return call.  It's not doing part of their job. And if you won't do part of your job you should be fired

Lol this used to be a good spot for finding reasonable prices on used stuff. Something changed and now prices are way jacked up. Like it’s actually cheaper to buy new. Shame.

Over priced for donated goods, many items are cheaper brand new or cheaper elsewhere. Reuse is a scam like all thrift stores, they are selling you donated used items for profit. It's worth $1 and they sell it for $4, The items aren't tested or sanitized. They aren't helping anyone but themselves. Don't get me started on Thrifty shopper or the Salvation Army.
