I love this store. The owner has a variety of items in the store for direct sale to the public but better more valuable items he sells on ebay. He explained his policy in detail and gave me a written agreement. He sold several items for me in the store and some on ebay. I took his advice on the ebay items and did very well - actually more than I expected. Of course some items were not as valuable as I thought but he showed me what they have sold for on ebay in the past so I was not surprised. I was promptly paid the month following the sale and the check came with a listing of each item, how much it sold for, etc. He does expect his customers to be responsible for keeping track of how long they leave items there and I picked up two items that didn't sell and let him donate a couple of others when they were past the consignment date. Keeping track was not a problem for me - I just put a reminder on my phone. The owner was very knowledgable and professional. He takes in items by appointment but took the time to go over each one. His staff was very friendly and he has a nice turn over of items - always something new.

Sal is extremely knowledgeable about every kind of item that passes through his store. He had been very helpful to me for selling items through consignment and eBay!!

Overpriced junk, the owner didn't even acknowledge me when I came in or was walking around. At one point I was looking at the cases right in front of him and he couldn't be bothered to say a word. He was just having a foul mouth conversation with some other guy that was sitting there. I tried to look in the cases where the customer was sitting, he couldn't bother to move for me to see and the owner didn't ask if I wanted to see something.
Sorry you had a bad experience Ryan. We do our best to engage with and acknoledge every customer sorry if we fell short with you. We try to offer the best competitive prices for our customers and consignors. We try to offer a family friendly atmosphere so deepest apologies as well if someone was using foul language in the store that is certainly not OK. We hope to get the opputnity to give you a better experience on your next visit if you would give us a 2nd chance. Have a great day and thanks for checking us out All the best

I had one really good experience and one not so good. Stick to your contact, keep following up. What I think he does is post your valuable item on his online eBay store until your contract runs out then puts it up for auction and keeps the money.

Ohioville consignment is a fraudulent business that took items from me I indeed did not want to sell and coerced me into keeping them in the store. Now my items are not being relinquished (Sal was trying to steal them from me and refusing to return them to me despite having his inventory list in front of Him) and I’ve lost an insane amount of money in the process never mind The gas and effort I have spent getting there. Distress has made this so not worth it. They take no consideration into the Sellers preferences And just insist that their policies are correct. I was lied to and manipulated and here we are making no money off of the only collectibles I own. I put so much energy into this and it’s not the price that matters it’s the Lack of honesty And transparency and the inability to return things that were mine. That is Theft. I understand how consignment works but this is not the way to do it. Sellers to Ohioville BEWARE You are not going to be making the money you want And you might not be getting your items back. And you probably will not be treated with Courtesy and respect. They talk BS about all of you while I’m in there so don’t think that your business is private either. To the owner all of this feels personal to him. But my reality now is that both myself and my mother are scared Of him and I don’t feel safe because of our interactions with the Owner. I am publicly requesting and also directly to Ohioville consignment to stop contacting me and cease contact with me and my family. I have no further business with Ohioville consignment anymore Aside from my $200 check coming in the mail in March. So leave us alone please. Extremely dissatisfied, disappointed and Intimidated by. As a collector it just makes me so sad. I just want Ohioville consignment to leave us alone at this point please. Thank you so much
If someone brings an item to our store. Signs a contact and asks us to sell it they typically are looking to sell their item. Seems that wasn't the case with you. We do our best to explain the process upfront and go over selling strategy. As a person bringing the stuff in you have a great deal of control in naming a price or taking your item back etc. We cannot and do not force you to sell anything. Sorry you had a bad experience

Drove from Syracuse. Says they're open til 5. It's 2:21 and they are closed. Not a good way to run a business!
Hey kind regards, deepest apologies its rare we have visitors coming from that far away deepest apologies I can imagine how disappointing that was. Were only open for shopping and we accept items by appointment only so if you were trying to bring us items for consignment you needed an appointment anyway. Were a small family business and currently going thru some family issues and have had to put family first. We should be back to our regular hours this week so hopefully this wont happen to anyone else in the future all the best
