I walked into store interested in unique lamp bases. Touched one and owner said “do not touch”. I asked “does the top come off” and he replied “not easily”. I asked “may I touch any lamp base in the store”. He replied “you can buy without touching”. I replied “we have talked enough about not touching”. I left store thinking rude, racism or both.

During my visit to Neo Studio the owner Jean Yves Legrand behavior was appallingly arrogant, rude, and ugly. I walked in to have a look and he told me, " Looking does not pay the Rent". For seemingly no reason - Jean spoke to me in a demeaning manor. I walked out impressed by his little ugly mouth. Certainly, I will not return.

Horribly rude shopkeeper!! Inquired about previous shop RUEBEN and he went ballistic… nasty little man. Must not be doing well and probably will go out of business by next year. Much too much merchandise that hasn’t sold… foolish attitude as might have made a few purchases.

Probably one of the rudest shop keeps I’ve ever encountered. I came in to introduce my friend to the store because she is redecorating her new family’s homes in East Hampton and beach house in Amagansett and was immediately judged because apparently people “can’t look” around the store. The owner said ‘we’re not an inspiration store it doesn’t pay my bills we’re for buyers only.’ Dude, your a vintage store in a tourist town. I mean, kindness goes a long way, don’t dismiss people because they don’t ‘look’ like your regular clientele.
