There's everything from comics and figurines to CD's, vinyl, DVD's and video games.  You'll absolutely find something you want here.  It's a definite stop when I'm in town.

Huge store, with lots of variety and relatively good prices. Happy Binghamton has something like this. Makes the drab of winter much more bearable.

An amazing “Everything-Nerds-Love” store! With a very passionate staff; my favorite one is “the Magic one” (sorry, I forgot your name) He has MANY binders of cards with the price of ‘em on the sleeves they come in. And the prices are only 5-20 cents above their TCGplayer listing which, I’m perfectly okay with. They gotta make somewhat of a profit plus you have the convenience of seeing the cards’ condition yourself and not having to wait/ pay for shipping (obviously) like you gotta do online!

Definitely a must go if you're into games/movies/comics. Huge selection of all you'd expect to find at a game store.

This place is like a nostalgic time warp! It’s packed with games, videos, figures, and comics. I love stopping by to check out their inventory, as it changes frequently. I recently bought five PS3 games and several video disks, and they’ve been great so far. Overall, it’s a really nice place to explore and relive some great memories.

never knew this place existed till we drove 2 hours away to check out vestal for fun last year. let me tell you, sound go round was a dream come true. boyfriend & i are huge collectors of vinyl, cds, and video games. they had everything & it was so nostalgic. we both didn’t want to even leave. it was super fun & would love to go back soon :)

I went there to either return or exchange the ps4 pro I got from there about a month back. The ps4 pro works like a dream, but didn't need it anymore. Found out I couldn't really do much, as I left the building I noticed my tires were popped on my ebike, I let them know and they were extremely kind, going out of their way and willingly to help me diagnose the problem.

The three or two employees that were there, were above and beyond the most generous and helpful people ever, that's a skill/trait that used to exist before the rise of technology and kinda rare to find that trait in people.

They let me lock my bike up at their store until late afternoon and I got a ride back home. I greatly appreciate their participation and support of my crisis/situation! I hope others learn that businesses don't make crap games on purpose, it's called pre-owned or used for a reason.

And I would recommend giving them another chance on a different day, just like the lottery, you'll never know.

I love this store so much!! Not bad prices at all a ton of games range from nintendo.xbox.and playstation games and consoles Acton figures and Lego sets and figures Funko pops and a ton of other amazing stuff.

I'm heavily involved with TCGs and Nate makes doing biz with SGR regarding TCGs, a breeze. Whether it involves trading in singles/product for other singles/product, buying with cash, etc, he's helpful and mostly knowledgeable. I hope SGR continues to expand their ventures in all avenues with TCGs so it covers more and more of what I'm involved in.

Impressive price on Xbox 360 games and accessories. Both controllers I bought are in really good condition and worked without issue. I'm able to relive my childhood without breaking the bank 😁

This place was awesome!! Had something for everybody. Tons of movies, shows, DS games, console games, and tons of comics. My boyfriend found a particular back issue he was looking for and was extremely happy with the find. Will be coming back again!

This place was really cool. Lots of games for old consoles, big collection of CD’s, records, anime stuff, old marvel stuff. This stores pretty big too. Good customer service. I went for CD’s they were all good prices, the records were good prices too. Very nice place. Would definitely go again

This place is indispensable. They have so many games from every system, tons of CDs, tons of records, tons of merch and figures, tons of comic books, tons of DVDs, and some manga. They take trade-ins, too.

My only complaint is that both times I've been there, the music was shockingly loud. It was overwhelming and made it really hard to browse. I'm literally going to bring earplugs next time.

This place has a great and wide variety of old school games and consoles along with newer ones. A wide selection of music in all kinds of forms (vinyls, cds, cassette tapes, etc), movies & tv shows in vhs’ & dvds, and other types of old and new entertainment.

Went recently with my older sister for some CDs. They didn’t have the band I was looking for, but there was a HUGE variety of stuff to buy. I saw stuff from Bob Dylan to Marilyn Manson. Huge wide variety. The games and DVDs there also looked very interesting, so I’d check it out if you’re into that stuff too. The clerk that checked us out also had a pretty nice sense of humor. Generally a great place, totally gonna go there again sometime soon

Great retro games store. Went here yesterday and bought a ton of stuff for very reasonable prices. They price rarer items very well and do a great job displaying their stock. Would highly recommend stopping by.

My son and I love to come and look for video games for our ever growing collection. They are also very fair on trade-in pricing. Would recommend to anyone looking for anything related to video games, comics, action figures, etc.

Awesome if you need anything from Comic, Pops, Movies, to Statue, Action figures. This is your one-stop shopping place. Every time I visit, I feel like a kid in a candy store. I could wander the aisles for hours and still miss something I haven't seen. A word of wisdom visits it with time to spare because it has so much to offer, and you don't want to miss out on anything.

Weird that I'm seeing others have had issues selling switch games to them. I had 4 switch games to sell. Gamestop would've given me 58 in cash and Robot City would've given me 68.  Cashier was able to offer me 75 in cash or 84 in store credit. Much better than the alternate choices.

Great wide selections for older games. DVDs can be sold for store credit and I believe you can trade in your board games as well. Great place to check out!

What a cool place!!! Load with new, used, and vintage; music, videos, games, comic, collectables and much more. I didn't buy anything just looked around, reminiscing amongst the nastalga.

Makes me feel like a kid again! DVDs comics(the biggest collection have ever seen), action figures retro games and consoles, posters, vinyl records, and CDs.. if you're new to the area and love your 80s and 90s nostalgia this place should be on the top of your list to go see. The only thing I have to say is since they have so much stuff isles can get a bit tight so I am sure to be respectful and aware of my fellow shopper's space

Love going here for any type of retro games, comics, vinyl figures, or vinyl records. They have one of the biggest collections in the area that I know of, and prices aren't completely outrageous. Great staff too, they love to help.

Sound Go Round is one of those places that you either know or don't know about. It has something for everyone. Do you like music? Got it! Do you like video games (new AND old)? Got it! Do you like books and comics? Got it. Toys and collectibles? Got it! Movies? Check! The staff there are very knowledgeable and helpful and their willingness to work with you to help you get what you want is phenomenal. Prices are very reasonable and they're even willing to work with you. Got some stuff you want to part with or trade in for something new? They got you there as well. You can always walk in there and find what you want (or what you didn't know you needed). Bottom line, if you're reading this review and haven't stopped by, what are you waiting for? You won't be disappointed.

If I has a million dollars, it would not get me everything that this store has that I want. This is a wonderful store full of music, games, toys, comics, and much much more. I felt like Charlie from the Willie Wonka movie.

Here’s This is a really cool shop and probably one of the best retro game stores I’ve ever visited. I found several awesome items that I’m really happy with, so there’s definitely a lot to love here. However, I did notice some areas that could use improvement. The store had a cold, warehouse-like vibe, and a lot of the merchandise was dusty.

As vintage gaming enthusiasts and vendors, I think we should strive to better preserve gaming history by making a greater effort to clean, test, and properly store items. For example, many of the bins of cartridges were on the floor and covered in dust, which felt a bit neglectful. Being from out of town, I purchased three games that didn’t work. While they do offer returns, being six hours away makes it impractical for me to take advantage of that policy.

I absolutely love the concept of this store and the treasures it holds, but I believe there’s room to be more welcoming and attentive to both the merchandise and the overall environment. A little extra care could make this place truly exceptional.

Vintage, Anime, Video Gamer Haven. Action figures, collectibles, posters, magazine cartoons, comic books, superhero galore, stuffed animals, some clothing. Need to update poster options, no competition in the area so the prices can be more than expected. They accept old gaming systems and old quality games. This gives them that 4th star.

It smells weird besides that the staff are nice and patient.
There's lots of books and manga that I enjoy so I go here a decent amount.
They have a huge movie selection and older games that all can enjoy.

I shop here often and the games and consoles and accessories usually have to be brought back because they are faulty or not working also I've spent so much money here with my child and for some reason they follow me and him around the store and it's not good because sometimes I need time to browse and often feel like I'm being put under a microscope.
It's far away from my home so getting to the store isn't easy only to be hawked while trying to find peace while browsing with my kid is not flattering.
As far as there dvd collection, it's large but they have movies we can buy on streaming services for the same prices so I guess why go there when I can buy them at home, they should sell those dad's for less.
As for collectables and plushies this is your place I swear each month I go they have a new selection, it's like there related or have a distribution deal with Nintendo and they have lots of cool action figures if that's your thing.

I have had a great experience so far with buying video games themself and even for trade in. Just haven’t had the best of luck with my last purchase of a game controller. Bought a PS3 controller asked if the battery had been replaced and worked and was tested and was told yes. Get it home and it only turned on when wired in. Even after letting it charge for a hour. Unplug it and turns off. Bring it back get a new one asked the same questions even asked if they could test it. Guy comes back says yeah it works. Get that one home plug it in and nothing no lights at all. Let it charge for an hour now and still nothing. Just want what I’m told sorry for the trouble

Enjoyed the store and what it had to offer. Unfortunately had a very bad experience trading in cards. I’m a collector and called ahead to see if trading cards for credit was accepted, they said there “card guy” was not in that day so I called back a few days later to make sure he was in. I came in and traded some pops and had the cards double sleeved and in elite trainer boxes. They told me I received $45 in credit but the women pointed at the pops when she said that and then asked the guy if he was doing the cards and he said yes. I walked around the store for about an hour and came back up to the counter to see how looking at my cards was coming (I brought a little over 100) only for the “card guy” to tell me that he was already done with them and that the $45 credit was for everything. When the women told me the trade in value it had only been maybe 5 minutes of me being there, so how he looked at every single card is beyond me. I also for the last twenty minutes of waiting was just standing by the register showing that I was waiting. There was no “hey we will accept these cards and these ones we won’t because they don’t hold a lot of value” it was just $10 for cards I definitely didn’t actually look at. Very upsetting mainly because they have a “card guy” who I had to wait for only to find out he didn’t even care to look at my merchandise. For final context I was trading in Pokémon cards from about 5 years ago, double sleeved and multiple cards that I know are well above $10 (empoleon alt art and charizard 25th anniversary to name a few).

If it is fake, someone sold it to us that way and we got scammed too! Bring it back and we'll switch it out for another one for you. All you need is your receipt or the orange price label that was on it as proof of purchase.

I thought this place was good but I got scammed. I got a $20 pokemon gold and I found out today that it was fake. They didn't even give me a receipt so I can't return and the tag peeled off

Awesome store! Unfortunately the staff is terrible. I walked up to the counter to ask about the merchandise,  no other customers around, out of the 4 employees I saw not one stopped to say hello or can I help you. They were busy stroking their egos, talking about how cool their tattoos are. I waited and tried to be patient, but they never stopped talking about themselves long enough to help. I would have loved to spend money here. Like I said, the store itself is awesome. If you don't mind listening to the staff talking about themselves until they are finished you can buy some cool stuff.
