About This Store

St. Gregory Thrift & Gift Shoppe is a unique thrift store located in White Plains, New York. It has garnered positive reviews from customers who describe it as a "treasure trove" of diverse merchandise.

According to one reviewer, Pearlanty Khachadoorian, the store is "like entering a museum" with its "finely curated assortment of china, glassware, crystal, accessories, lamps, artwork, jewelry, furniture, tools, handmade artistry, and so much more." The reviewer notes that the prices are "unspeakably modest for the superb quality offered," making it a destination for those seeking rare, vintage, and one-of-a-kind finds.

The store is housed in a historic home divided into three rooms, each thoughtfully organized and staged by the dedicated volunteer staff. As another reviewer, Jay Sells, describes, the volunteers have "a keen eye for interior design" and ensure the store is "buyer friendly" with items "organized and categorized neatly."

Beyond the impressive inventory, customers highlight the welcoming atmosphere and social nature of the store. Sells notes that the "women that work there are wonderful" and that the store has a "social gathering" feel, which is understandable given the volunteers' passion for their work. The reviewer also appreciates that all proceeds from sales go to support the St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church, adding a sense of community and purpose to the shopping experience.

Those who have had the opportunity to visit describe it as a must-see destination for antique and vintage enthusiasts. With its unique blend of historic charm, curated merchandise, and friendly volunteer staff, St. Gregory Thrift & Gift Shoppe offers a truly special shopping experience.

Entering this historic home containing 3 amazing rooms is like entering a museum with its finely curated assortment of china, glassware, crystal, accessories, lamps, artwork, jewelry, furniture, tools, handmade artistry, and so much more too numerous to mention. One will walk out with an armful as the prices are unspeakably modest for the superb quality offered. This shop is a treasure trove of goods which run the gamut from historic, vintage, one of a kind, rare finds to contemporary. Plan to spend time just looking and recalling nostalgia. The shop offers a special sale each month highlighting an inventory of items brought in each week by generous donors and liquidated estates. There is something for everyone, but definitely a must see. The shop, now under new management, has a unified group of dedicated volunteers with a keen eye for interior design. Each room is staged with a theme of items organized and categorized neatly making it buyer friendly. Please visit a most welcoming venue for old and new and everything in between. Knowing that all proceeds from sales go to St. Gregory the Enlightener Armenian Church is satisfying. This shop has it all but mostly, you will love what you see every Thursday afternoon from 12-4pm and announced monthly Saturdays. It's such a treat!

First and foremost, the women that work there are wonderful. Not only were they extremely helpful, they were so nice. I've read other reviews on a different site that states that it is like social gathering here, I agree it is. But why shouldn't it be, these are volunteers, they should have fun as they work for free making money for the church and community. Some drawbacks, it is only open on Thursday, I was able to go on the one day a year they were open on a Saturday, which is usually during the holiday season. Also, dont be fooled by the older review on yelp, they no longer sell shoes (that's what i went there for) but they do sell Lenox crystal, antique jewelry, art and everyday essentials. I ended up buying four ornate, woven Christmas ornaments for 50 cents (for all 4) and a Limoges, 24kt gold inlay box for a whopping $7.50. No, not everything in the store is that cheap, but if youre treasure hunting, you wont have to look hard, the women who volunteer here are a treasure, the rest is all frosting on the cake.

First time going in here and I spent about half an hour looking through the items in the rooms. First I browsed through the handbags and scarfs, then to the glasswares and the other room with jewelry and antique stuff. I cannot afford any of these price I thought to myself this isn’t this a thrift store? I end up buying a glass mug for $1. Didn’t wanna leave the place empty handed. I think the prices are pretty high knowing they’re mostly donated old stuff. Some of the used items don’t really match what they’re supposed to be worth. Diapers that are selling for $10 and it’s old you can buy brand new for less. I mean seriously I was looking at the price tags and talking to myself why it’s price like it is. It’s not a consignment store. DVDs selling for $3 each when they’re obsolete, so people still use DVD players? Department store earrings that are sold on sale for $3-$5 are marked $10-$20 here. I mean they look very ancient to me maybe to others it is rare and one of a kind. Hair care products that are old and used priced as buying a new one. I wanted to buy some of those glass water cups but I’m not paying $4 for each. I could buy 4 brand new pieces for $9.99 at home goods. Mugs with country labels overpriced Starbucks $10 lol. Carpets rugs $8-$15. Thank goodness they don’t sell clothes here. Candles and candle holders ridiculously expensive. I have my eye on that clear tea pot for $10 but I’m not spending $10 on that. I’m a thrift buyer so gotta stick to my budget 😂

Hello Sheba Gemini. We remember your visit today to the St.Gregory Women's Guild THRIFT & GIFT SHOPPE We remember welcoming you warmly as you entered & explaining our weekly sales to you.... 25%off entire purchase opportunity, along with our all-the-time jewelry BOGO (Buy One Get One 50% off) special plus extra savings on all dinnerware sets. We remember we were amazed that you saw "nothing else" of interest (when asked) as you paid $1. for the dimmpled clear glass mug. Perhaps if you cared to express your discontent with our shoppe, we would have explained that we've been very successfully operating for 19 years, with 100% of proceeds surrended to St.Gregory Church & Women'sGuild missions locally, domestically & internationally. We appreciate all of our loyal longterm customers, as well as new weekly stop-ins (like yourself). You are correct that all inventory in the shoppe has been generously donated, with NEW, gently used & vintage stock being added weekly. We welcome your return, with hope that a future visit will result in a more positive review of our volunteer run shoppe. As a reminder, we are OPEN every Thursday, noon-4pm
