First time setting foot in the store. Was surprised they had some really nice options for guys not to mention the prices were great. But my first impression was the scenery and the workers. People are always kind, the clothes they sell are always high quality. Pricing when compared to quality of item is always really good! They don’t short you when you sell your clothes there either! I usually get about $40 for about 8 items (when my items are Athleta, Nike, Aerie, urban outfitters)

I love going to uptown cheapskate, the prices are amazing for the quality! One of my favorite places to take the girls for a Saturday afternoon shopping date!! My teenagers and I loved shopping at Uptown Cheapskate. They had all the labels they love and I even found a few Anthro sweaters! The dressing rooms were kept clean (much appreciated!) and the store was very well organized. We will definitely be back again soon!

Love going to Uptown Cheapskate the staff is always so pleasant more so than at the other retail shop in our area. They have a great selection you had a great pricing . When I'm dropping items off for resale they payout more generously than other locations. I regularly visit the location in Canton Ohio I love all the girls that work there they're way so nice they always know my name I always find a great deal on a luxury handbag still finding good pairs of jeans with tags on them some of my favorite sweatshirts that came from there I have to say that I genuinely love going to the Canton location

Love coming here and finding clothes like what's at the mall but for much cheaper. Usually everything is in excellent condition and even though it costs more than a thrift store, there's usually a better selection of nice brands.

The best thrift store to shop and sell! Not only is the store clean, but the variety of clothes is amazing and the prices are fair. I love that Uptown offers deals and has a point system to earn money off of purchases. The staff are always so nice. When selling, Uptown always gives the best amount back. Whenever I need an outfit or a pair of shoes, I always check out Uptown first.

Love everything about this store… From Popular top Brands to Great prices that are reasonably cheap considering most items are gently used to never used. Awesome variety of clothing and shoes to vintage items for everyone…from young to mature.  The people working there are very friendly and helpful. Has plenty of Fitting Rooms and they play music while you browse around. Anther plus is that you can sell your brand name clothes and shoes etc…. to them to buy off you. They are the total package.

Great options for my high school daughter  clothes shopping. We get so much more for our money and she's excited to put things together for her own style. We highly recommend Uptown Cheapskate. Nice store but the fragrance is really off putting- very strong perfume/diffuser that has a super strong chemical/fake flower smell that made shopping difficult. It made it difficult to stay in the store very long.

Very clean, nice store, but I am absolutely disappointed. It was my 1st time selling to them. The staff was cold, spoke quickly, and seemed... well, stuck up. I also had some GREAT, like new items to sell but because the labels were more than 2 yrs old, they wouldn't take them... including a couple of designer purses! This is ridiculous that these places have that
"rule" when they are buying... I say, if it's in decent condition, take it. People can use all the money they can get. We already get a low percentage of what the item then sells for. JS.

This store has gone so downhill the past 3-4 years. The girls are so rude and pick the worst clothing for the store. It’s all fast fashion or just not cute. They’ve said in the reviews that they only accept clothes from the past 2 years to “keep up with trends” yet the clothes they have are hideous!!! They used to have amazing vintage, why would they try to be more similar to Plato’s closet which also sucks!! Creating a TikTok account won’t help the store, picking better clothes, having no fast fashion, and getting tf rid of the mean workers would help.

Hello Solomon! First and foremost, we would like to apologize that we have not met your expectations here at Uptown Cheapskate Canton. While you have brought great brands in, we cannot always purchase everything. We purchase styles from the last three years to keep everything current and up to date, with how much we get coming in we aren't able to take things older than those dates (unless it is a vintage item for our vintage section). Most brands place a date code on the inner part of their tag and we have our buyers trained on current brand tags/logos. We also ask that the items coming in are freshly laundered, free of stains and with limited wear so they can go directly on to our sales floor for our customers. We are not affiliated with other thrift stores in this area and each store may be looking for something different. We hope you are able to give us another chance in the future!

My aim with this review is not to be insulting, but fair and honest.

The ladies who work here are some of the most unpleasant people I've ever met. They always seem to be in a bad mood and are never friendly.

Secondly, I understand that stores like this can't take everything you try to sell them, but time after time, I bring in a bag or basket of clothes with very popular brands like Vineyard Vines, Lululemon, Jcrew, and others alike (all of which in very good physical condition), yet are consistently being turned away. Why?

Plato's closet up the street, always takes these brands and consistently gives me more for what I sell them. At this point, Uptown Cheapskate is nothing else than an expensive thrift store. Save your money and go to Village Discount Outlet, Platos, Goodwill, Salvation Army, Encore, or literally anywhere else. So many better options in the area.
