Only place to get good collectable and old school games check this place out it's 100% worth it

Always a solid go to for vinyl for my wife and I. Prices are fair. They usually have a great selection. I don't ever feel like are trying to price gouge because someone who works there likes that band. For the most part the staff will leave alone to do your thing.

The Exchange...my favorite store since I randomly found the Howe ave location in the mid 90's...since then, they expanded SO much with their locations and merchandise.
THE ONLY PLACE TO FIND BRAND NEW/USED & HARD TO FIND music,games and collectibles.

They offer variety of records tapes games and other things new and old.They are helpful and friendly. My 12 year old grandson loves going there

Love this store! My kid loves it too, he goes mostly for games, but I love sifting through their amazing record collection and looking at all the cool band gear 😁 I always find something cool every time I go. Oh and Did I mention they have pretty reasonable prices?

Just recently had major surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago. One of the workers came up and asked if we needed any help, I asked if there was any way I could sit somewhere or have a chair due to getting easily exhausted. With no problem the gentleman quickly brought me back a folding chair my boyfriend could carry around with us for needed breaks. I so greatly appreciated this since feeling embarrassed to ask. Amazing and compassionate staff!!!!

Went in to sell some stuff. Waited 20 minutes and then got a call back. Came in and got my money and left. Great place. Very nice and professional.

This store carries a lot of rare items on a decent rotation. I will be stopping back in to build my collection.

Always good prices get followed a lot even after doing multiple business transactions but I don't hold it against them. One of my go to shops.

Found a great deal on steaming wheel for xbox one! Great service! Answered all questions and everyone was attentive to my family also. Great fun for every member of family always!

Nice and big location. This is one of the few locations left to maintain the full range of the chain hours, and is the only location in the Akron area to do so. Service here is better than the Fairlawn location. I like their open selection of $1 CDs and cheap DVD seasons.

As soon as we entered the store we were greeted and asked if we needed help I found everything we needed with the help of a young lady and we were in and out in just a few minutes wish I could have stayed longer I'm big into vinyl so I will most likely be back there very shortly to look at all the vinyl keep up the good work excellent job I really do appreciate it

Dropped my husband off was waiting, my son text asked me to check on an album. I walk in was grreeted very friendly and went to look for the album, couldn't find it went up front the man took his time looking it up and went back with me until we found it. It's a specialty store that delivers. The prices were a little higher than expected, but if you're looking for the last piece of your movie / game collection there's a good chance they have it. Really great customer service, worked hard to find what I was looking for and I was really happy with my purchase.

I wish I wasn't in a rental car and having to fly back the day after I stopped in. It was a gold mine of all the awesome stuff I love. Staff was super friendly. Great mix of new and old vinyl and an assload of CD's and DVDs.

I bought a copy of Cyberpunk 2077 yesterday and found one of the disc was missing from the case. I went in shortly after opening and was able to exchange for a different copy no questions asked. Always friendly folks every time I visit.

Cool shop with a huge selection of music, movies, and games. Very fun to browse. The employees seemed a bit aggressive but maaaaybe they didn’t like me taking pictures for this review.

This place is great. I was able to get a bunch for only about $100 bucks. I traded in a bunch of games and DVDs and got what I was looking for.
Not only that I've been going here since I was little, I've never been disappointed. The store also has so much anime merch and metal band merch that I was blown away.

Have been going here since was a kid... and still go here with my child.  Great place to find used movies, games, and so much more. I really enjoy checking out their movie posters! We also recently bought wall.decals for sons bedroom!

I was in tonight to exchange some items and I received the best customer service I have ever received in these types of stores. Normally when I go to other locations the staff kind of act like they are on the show pawn stars and are semi rude even though I have no intentions to negotiate their reason for pricing. Not this store. They even opened the door while I carried out my items they could not purchase and it was greatly appreciated as I am about to have a baby any day now. Everyone working tonight was so helpful and polite it put me in a better mood. I will gladly drive out of my way to buy or sell at this location. Thanks again.

Very helpful. Almost too much if I see something I want to look at I will find you! The store is huge. They have almost everything your looking for or maybe they can get it! Prices are very good also

I've been an Exchange customer for years,  but I hadn't been to this location since before the remodeling/change in site location.  It's beautiful!  The store has so much more room and more products than before.  They have a really robust selection of games and systems at good bargains.  I was very impressed by their expansion into board games.  They have games I haven't seen since I was a kid!  The staff is friendly and helpful as always.

While I’ve noticed some titles I’m browsing for are marked up noticeably compared to pricecharting, I greatly appreciate the immense library this particular location holds that sometimes I frankly think it’s worth it. Definitely recommend checking out if you’re into physical media. I’ve even found some good deals on new video games in their closeout sections!

Might be my favorite place just just go and browse around. It's a gold mine of music, movies, video games and just awesome stuff everywhere you look. Love this place. The interactions with the employees have been extremely awkward at times, but that tends to happen with video game and movie nerds. So it's kinda on brand lol.

They have great prices on used games and DVDs. They also pay a fair price for trades.

They have tons of stuff for everybody. Two whole cases of switch games and like 3 to 4 cases of other systems. They sell games, music, movies/TV, collectibles and trinkets. It's a great store however my one issue is the prices. They sell their items at brand new on Amazon prices. For example I was looking for 4 switch games, and I found them but each one was $60 which I found odd because they're 49 dollars brand new on amazon. So I'm not entirely sure how they do their price valuations!

The place was very clean. The employees seemed to be apt to help but not over bearing. However they only wanted one game from the 25 items I took in. They just don't seem to be into buying vintage games as much as one would think.

They have a fairly decent selection of pop culture items that span a decent spectrum.  I've bought several things from here that are movie, game, music and comic related.

Bought a 3DS from these guys a few weeks ago, it had a slow start up but all seemed fine. Did a system transfer from my old one not long after and it wasn't long before the console bricked itself outside the return date. I never modded it or made any altercations besides system transfer. Be mindful that they may not check quality of consoles. Otherwise a decent selection though it seems like this location charges more for some titles compared to others within the company.

Been This Exchange Loads Of Times, The Staff Is Doing Their Jobs Well And The Collectibles And DVDs. When I First Went There In 2021, They Had A HUGE Selection Of Collectibles I Was Intrested In! That Was Where I Got My FIRST Ever 3rd Party Transformer Figure. But Now? It's Okay. 6.5/10. Still Go There Often For Games And What Not, But The Selection COULD Use Some Work...

Nice exchange,  nice friendly people, but their stuff too expensive than Target or walmart .I think they are setting their own prices even though they're used stuff . If you sell to them, they give low price to only sell it higher, but some of their stuff never get sold because it's too pricey. Change your lower more people may show up and buy .  I stopped going cause I'm not paying high prices, and no one should be paying for used items and may be broken or not ,or not working the next day or so , better getting brand cause you're about paying that price anyway . Their prices changed over the years. Want movies just to purchase hulu or Disney Plus or nextflix end up  paying almost that price anyway, but it will save you cumulating stuff . Want video games? Just wait to buy at Target or walmart and end up being on sale when holidays come for a low price . It's brand new wrapped , and you nothing shouldn't be wrong with it . I hope I helped you save money  cause everybody broke and it isn't no joke.

I kept getting hounded by a rude worker who wanted to put a record I was looking at behind the counter. I let her know I was just looking and will hang onto it. She said, “I’ll just take them anyway” and that it is store policy that customers cannot hold records in their hands while in the store. I told her she could just go ahead and put them back then. I checked with the front desk and another employee confirmed that it is store policy that once you take a record out of its slot, employees must take it out of your hands and put it behind the front counter. I think it’s honestly a poor policy, came off a bit rude, and it’s just too stressful being followed everywhere. They ask incessantly if you need help with anything which I think is just another way of saying “we’re watching you”. I hope they change the policy, but I’ll buy my records and nostalgia gear online from now on.

This particular location is not my favorite. On my most recent visit, one of the employees did not know an answer to one of my questions and told me to Google it. I used to shop at the Elyria location most often. They never would have said that to a customer. Several of the Elyria employees are now at the North Olmsted location, but all employees, both current and former, have always greeted each customer as they entered the store. And, taking the time to answer questions for customers is their job. The rest of the employees at the Cuyahoga Falls location were very friendly and helpful.

It's okay I guess, this exchange does charge over 50% more then what MSRP says about any game title, console or accessories which is not okay considering they DO NOT do any repairs and deep cleaning on the consoles that goes through trades. But I will admit sometimes when they do have a rare game I'll cave depending on the title BUT you can negotiate the price a little especially if it's incomplete, doesn't have original case or art cover for games. Now Some of the staff does have this attitude they act like they know more than you which makes me not want to associate with them any more than I have too. Honestly I'd recommend to go to Duck Duck Games which they are not much further down the street, they charge MSRP on games and they do deep cleaning, repairs and mods for consoles. the owner for DDG is awesome and the other staff there is super chill and always willing to just talk about gaming awesome vibes at Duck Duck Games.

Prices on items, especially CDs is astronomical, boarder line theft. Go on eBay or WhatNot, support an actual person and not this company. They have the same values as circuit City.

I mean honestly you’ve got 4 people working 3 of them just walking around doing nothing pretending to do their job while 1 person is checking stuff that people want to sell. I find it ridiculous as you wait 20-45 minutes in the store and they haven’t even touched it yet. Plus they rip you off on the price to be sold and turn around reselling it for a higher price. Nothing, but a scam.

This place is a joke I go to thrift stores a lot which is where I get most of my items I take in every time I bring stuff in I get  the same excuses of why they don't buy my items either they have to many in stock there scratched etc which is bull**** I make sure there no scratches an I look up on there app now I spoke to a manager who had quit there an informed me that they say my stuff is stolen an half the time they don't even go threw it or the offer they give me is not even close to the percentage that I'm supposed to be given an example I took in a mllpautographed unopened mushroomhead album that had 4 signatures they offered me $19.60 I took in Star wars saga on blue ray that just came out it $119  they game me $6 I'll take in the same stuff 5 an 6 times I took in 27 blue rays 32 DVDs 20 CDs 14 seasons an 9 wrestling dvvd sets they didn't buy 1 thing cause of over stock an condition again not true again I spoke to a manager who walked who informed me of the crap there pulling this goes for fairlawn as well. The sad part is u can't complain to anybody it better off selling it stuff online and shipping it out you'll make way more money

The selection seemed okay, but very poor customer service. I was there about 2:30 pm on January 24, 2025.  An employee out in the stacks was friendly and helpful, however once he had carried my selections to the counter, things went downhill. He placed my selections in a customer hold box, then went back the stacks. There were three employees behind the counter, two of them right in front of me facing me as I waited. No one could bother saying that they'd be right with me. One employee was taping up a box, then moved on to other things. Another employee was on the phone, then moved on to other things. The third employee was in the other corner bundling some things up. I was ignored. After several minutes I was silently counting down the seconds before I walked out the door. Someone finally asked if I wanted to check out. I don't think I'll be back.

did like this place until today when I was followed the whole time and watched by a male staff member for no reason except the fact I'm a woman because after he finally seen my husband he left me alone. and everytime he seen me he asked if everything is okay like I was stupid or something. there was 10 other people in the store  all men and I'm the only one he bothered he then went and got another worker to come bother me so I put my items back and will never step foot inside the store again! this workers need to realize that woman shop at gaming stores too!

Went on a mini trip with my husband to try out a new Exchange store we've never been to and we were both pretty sad to have walked out with nothing. The store is huge, one of the largest we have been to out of a decent amount of stores, but it wasn't entirely that much more unique than others. The prices were the main thing we have noticed a difference in- how could you not? The prices were ridiculous in comparison to every other store we have visited (some being in the middle of larger cities). I don't understand what would make someone want to choose such horrible prices and I know no one is "trying their best to be fair" either, because they're not.

I brought in a ps3 ps3 games and  a ps4 terabyte storage see if I can get something even store credit and they told me no which is fine no biggie just cleaning out the garage and figured why not. it's the fact they had me wait 2 hours for them to just tell me just based on visuals and what they have in stock they don't want none of it. "They were low staff and busy they said" Could you not tell me at the gate? And busy? No sir there was at most 5 people and low staffed? There was 3 behind the counter and 1 walking around and who iam guessing is the manager who said all this is rude af anytime I come in there.

I have been shopping here for years and have spent good money at this location. With that being said, I recently purchased a video game for $8 and tried to play it a few days later, however the game wouldn't even load! I took it back and the manager that was working looked in my account and said I never bought it from there. He refused my refund when all I wanted was to exchange it for a working copy. He even admitted to not checking every game that comes in there because it would "take too long". They lost a customer with their unprofessionalism, all OVER $8!

I picked up my grandmother and decided to take her here because we grew up going here since they started over two generations ago (my parents went here since I was a kid) and I’ve been a super gamer as I started playing when I was 3 and my whole family has always been Zelda fanatics. My grandmother missed playing Zelda Windwaker with the grandkids and my three month old daughter is going to be next in line to our family heirloom traditions of playing as a family. My grandmother walked in and started scouring the shelves for the Windwaker game and noticed they did not have it. A man walked back and started talking to her and unbeknownst to him, I’m an avid gamer and so I know where to get games and what price range they ought to be. He proceeds to try and lie to her about how he can get her a windwaker disc but it would cost her 150-200$ because it retains its value. Then he tries to sell her the walkthrough for 75$. I looked at her and told her to not listen to him that the game is classic sure but I can get it way cheaper. He tries to sell me with this bologna and I flat out let him know I’ve played more games in my lifetime and longer than he’s been alive there isn’t nothing he can say to pull wool over my eyes and shame on him for seeing an older lady and assume she doesn’t know when she’s being taken advantage of! We both laughed in his face and left. They never used to be this way. For generations my family has come here and prolly gave them hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of profit. Never again. Never again. Only lowlifes lie and take advantage of women and elderly to make a buck and I’m for one never supporting a business that does this.

Here currently for over an hour and they haven’t started my trade but there are 4 cashiers, and they’re just talking. Very unprofessional.
