The Gathering Place (East and West locations) provides incredible supports to families / individuals touched by cancer personally, as caregivers, and for those grieving loss of a loved one due to cancer. Definitely connect with them to identify services and programs to support you and your family in cancer battle. The free in person Cancer Fighting Kitchen cooking classes are amazing opportunities to learn new recipes to support your self and your family in recovery or as working for prevention. There are so many ways they stand beside families in their cancer journey for which our family is incredibly grateful.

I am a caregiver for a family member recently diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer. It is so overwhelming that I scheduled a 1 on 1 in person counseling session. Susan was great, letting me talk/vent and adding coping strategies, answering questions. I am going to try the caregiver group session for family and friends. The services offered to deal with cancer are amazing and all free of charge.

If you or a family member have had a diagnosis of cancer, this is your support group. Stop by, the volunteers are helpfull. Staff are knowledgeable. They have frequent groups. Lectures by experts. A library, and therapy rooms for massage treatments. I've gone several times. I'll be going more often. When you contact them tell them Joe sent you, they will say Joe Who...that's me...👍to you...
