I went into this store looking for a small quilt job to make 6 cloth dog pads 22x22 inches so that I do not have to buy them in the store anymore as I recently became unemployed, and believed I would save money by going down a different path with my expenditures, and the lady I spoke with, Jerry, was very nice, and said that she would do the job for me. She gave me her telephone numbers, and I told her I would stop by with the fabric, and she said to come by in the afternoon because that is when she is normally there. Price was not discussed. I happened to go by today with my fabric and potty pad to show Jerry what I had in mind so that I would know how to make the pattern, as well as to receive pricing to know that this indeed was the right path, and the Lady's husband, Mike, was there but not Jerry. This gentlemen was not very nice to me, and tried to talk me into going somewhere else and went so far as to tell me his discussion with his wife, Jerry, regarding my job which was not right as I should not be brought into their private conversations as to how he feels about business he may or may not want to take on, and using this as an excuse to get me to go elsewhere, and to do so in the uncharitable manner that he did. Jerry is one year behind on her quilting for customers, he said, and it is not right for Jerry to take on my work, he said. He even went so far as to say that there was no one else that could do my job in Tulsa as far as quilting was concerned which was also not necessary to say. He also said that Jerry could do the job if she wanted to, but I would have to find her, but he was going to try to get rid of me on his own is how I received the information. I told him that Jerry had already agreed to do the job, and his response was, "She shouldn't have." He was talking so loudly to me and asking me questions which to me were none of his business such as, "Do you know how to sew?" "Do you have a sewing machine?" "You can go onto Ebay and find what you are looking for", etc. to try to intimidate me into going elsewhere, and believe me I know what is out there and the quality of it for the money I would pay as I have done my research. Everyone in the shop heard our conversation because of how loud he was speaking to me which is embarrassing as I am a customer that walked in asking for a job, and was told by Jerry that she would take it, and then treated so disrespectfully by her husband on my return. This is very poor business and customer service, as Jerry should not have told me that she would take on the job if she is one year behind with other people's work, as her husband said, nor should her husband have talked to me in the way the he did to get rid of me in an unkindly and embarrassing fashion. Jerry should have called me herself, and told me kindly that after speaking with her husband she didn't feel that she could do the job from a time standpoint based on all the work the she has backed up for about 1 year, and apologize. She could also have recommended some other shops to consider. I realize the dog potty pads are not the most glamorous job to do over beautiful quilts, but this is beside the point as it is a simple job for someone with experience. I called Jerry and left a message regarding this terrible conversation with her husband, but received no response back. I would not recommend this business to anyone.
