I follow Flippin Awesome on Facebook because they post their new merchandise pics every week. I see something I need and jump right in the car and head to Yukon! I've found so many awesome pieces (a few shown below)! The vibe in the store is super fun with 80's jams and friendly faces. It's also fun to just show up at the store and browse since the merchandise changes all the time. #flippinawesome

What's your definition of delivery? I paid the $200 fee to have my purchase delivered to my driveway instead of getting the furniture inside my home. Thank God Lowes and Home Depot know what "delivery" means!

Owner Response

Hi Jennifer, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear you're unhappy with the delivery experience. Before your delivery, we made sure to communicate that help would be needed on your end to get the hutch inside, as our insurance does not permit us to enter customers’ homes. Our delivery team (two women) worked alongside the individuals present at your home, including one gentleman who was incredibly helpful and took the lead on moving the piece up onto the porch. We also provided our rolling furniture carts to make moving the hutch into your home easier. Based on the coordination and help you had on site, it seemed that you were aware of the delivery agreement at the time. We're glad you were able to get such a beautiful Hooker hutch at a great price, and we hope you're enjoying it in your home. While we're disappointed by the one-star review, we always strive to be clear and helpful, and we’ll continue to work hard to make our service a positive experience for all our customers. Warmly, The Flippin’ Awesome Team

3 times while shopping I heard employees saying things like: “If it’s any good it goes on EBay “. I finally told them it wasn’t good business to tell people that what’s for sale is ‘left overs’. I was getting ready to spend a substantial amount of money, and who I assume is the owner came over and started taking things away from me…saying ‘That’s an eBay item’. WTH??? After that, I declined purchasing anything. If you’re going to shop here, know this: You may not get what you pick off the shelf…they may change their mind on it being for sale…LOL! Never have I experienced anything like this. Side note: my son got a ‘letter opener’ there for $30 yesterday that ended up being a solid ivory boot knife worth over a grand, so I guess we got the last laugh, and they surely don’t know everything. If you’re in the mood to be talked down to, check it out, maybe you’ll get lucky- ps…the young girl was a gem…lovely and kind-

Owner Response

Hi, Cindy. We are sorry you were offended by what happened. Items under the table are out of sight because they are higher priced items intended for online sale. When you pulled back the tablecloths and went digging under the tables, it was not because the items had been priced and were ready to sell. It is our policy that if someone wants to buy an item that is either listed on ebay or will be listed on ebay to sell it at a nicely discounted price from what sales comps reveal we would sell it for. We offered you that discount but you did not want those items for a fair price. However, we are glad your son found something fun in the cabinet of curiosities. We gave him a good price on it and that was proven to be true by your statement. That's what it's all about. At the same time a business has to make money to keep their doors open. We balance making a profit with taking care of our resellers and customers by giving them the best deals we can afford to. We have the best customers and we love seeing them, serving them and getting to know them. We don't like drama and it is counterproductive to treat our customers poorly. On the same hand, our staff deserves kindness, understanding and fairness as well. Everyone has a job where they work with difficult people or a one-off in the public that is unreasonable. It's a two way street.
