Me and my brothers used to go here to trade and get old games and it had to be the best place I've ever been I wish I still lived close I miss going and spending time here

August helped me and was very friendly & knowledgeable about Magic the gathering and gave me a very fair price on some singles. Will be back. You are the bomb, August!

I love this place. Used video games, collectable trading card games, table top games, and some RPG books. But mostly VIDEO GAMES Y'ALL.

This is one of the few places I've been that sells CLEAN Super Nintendo cartridges that actually work. Give these guys your money if you're in the market. They deserve it.

Great place for most everything video game related. Great crew who know their customers needs.

Large selection of older games. They also have board games, Funko pop, some packs of cards. They also have some theme merch for popular games and a few movies. The staff member was helpful, the trade in process was quick and easy.

They do a fantastic job at resurfacing dvd discs. Great price too!

The employees are all awesome people they're so helpful and kind. All of them at one point or another have helped me play or build better magic decks. I cant emphasize how lucky the trading card community is to have such a awesome set of people help and encourage newer players. J, B, and A you guys are awesome

Totally recommended can't tell you how many credits I ended up scoring from turning in games I don't play anymore or DVDs that I don't even watch anymore.

They're very reasonable when it comes to determining how much something is worth in credits and they always make sure  that not only that a game if it's a disk type game is tested to confirm that it works correctly they go above and beyond to make sure the disc is polished and buffed out to really ensure that you are getting the best quality and your moneys worth.

These guys are awesome and the employees are very professional and patient doesn't get any better than that and even if they don't have the game you're looking for they contact their other  other branches to try and hunt down the game you're looking for this place also has a lot of stuff for those who are retro gamers great place for old-school and new school gamers these guys rock.

I visit regularly and they always are helpful with my questions on any games or Magic cards.

Helpful workers that got my wife and I hooked up with starter decks to start playing Magic. We'll be back for sure!

Prices are good, and have found several different games that I was either looking for or never expected to see in person. Have also bought cables for consoles that aren't as common anymore, I'd much rather get them in person than hope I get the right one online.

Employees are very friendly, always very welcoming.

Have gone several times, definitely will continue shopping there when I get the chance. 🤙

I shopped at the store twice. Both of my experiences have exceeded my expectations. Three different Representatives have stood out as far as I'm concerned. There was a gentleman named Cameron and a young lady named Tori as well as Jordan. I just wanted to say thank you for being helpful and patient. I have a 7 year old son who is infatuated with Pokemon and I know nothing about them. Cameron recommended get a game from that store that showed me how to play the card game. We successfully completed a round of Pokemon and now we're back for more cards.
I have been to other stores that sell Pokemon cards, but no one seems to know anything about them.

On a side note I read some of the other reviews on here and have to say I am appalled. Either someone is describing a different store or they have a personal vendetta against an individual who might be working here or perhaps the owners. Both of my experiences this far have been wonderful and nothing less.

Great selection. Great knowledge of specific titles. Prices aren't that bad compared to other places and always works with you.

Id ask that u stop here before gamestop. Friendly associates and atmosphere. They have a wide selection of games, cards, and og game systems.

I've taken Pokémon cards in MULTIPLE times and every time I go in, whether it be for trade in or cash, I've walked out of that store happy! They will give you the best valuations for what you're trading in, and have the most impressive card collection around! Give them a look if you want to trust you're getting the best value!

Went with my grandson.  The guy working was very helpful.  Showed me the game discs then cleaned them.  Said he would take them back if there were any issues.  My grandson played all of them and no issues.  Now hoping they have the attachments that the Wii controller sits in that he wants.  LOL.

I visited GameTime for the first time last weekend. They have a wide selection with reasonable pricing. Staff were helpful. They changed a case out for a PS1 game I was buying with no hesitation. I'd come again when in the area.

The service that the reps give is absolutely excellent.  They are also very knowledgeable. I highly reccomend this GameTime store!!

I've bought over 99% of all of my games and consoles from these guys since 2008. Incredibly attentive staff, knowledgeable, great selection, and very fair prices. If this isn't your first stop when looking for new or old games, that's on you. :)

Great value on trades, either for cash or credit you get way more than gamestop would ever give. Really good selection of retro games and collectibles, I live in Salem and make the drive to this store. Incredible value.

Best place to go to for anything magic related, Its where i try to buy all my singles.
Also has a great selection if games and movies. Its situated next to tack bell so that also gets it points in my book

Visiting from out of town and looking for a new board/card game to play with the family tonight.   The guy behind the counter was very informative and pointed us towards a new game we thoroughly enjoyed.   Very helpful,  would definitely recommend this place.

The staff were Friendly & helpful also very knowledgeable. They had us bring our console in and showed us how to fix a minor prob we were having which was so much appreciated. They really went out of their way to help us. We drive in from the coast now whenever we have a gaming need. They also had a good selection of DVDs & blurays for sale.

Pretty good magic the gathering collection, plus all the accessories. Also a large selection of video games for all kinds of systems. And movies too.

It's very easy to find out where things are. There very welcoming.  I like how they have most of the old systems that you don't see much anymore, like  Nintendo NES,GameBoys,Xbox, PlayStation, and PC
Systems. There's also Extras like, all sorts of controllers and different types of Plugs like  A.V. cords,HDMI Cords. Basically almost everything is here, like  Games to Movies and Accessories. They also have Magic The Gathering  Playing Card's, and Pokemon cards and games.  That's The Basic idea, well what are you still siting there for go check out the place already.😁

This place has the best trade in value of any game store I have ever been!!!!
They also have a really loyal and trustworthy account for you so that means that if I bring an Xbox 360 controller in and they will put the $15 in my account then 3 years later I come in and I want a $10 PS4 game I can get it from my account and I would still have my $5 in my account!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely prefer this place over GameStop. The prices are lower, they carry all the old games that I like, and the staff is super friendly and they go above and beyond for you! I always feel right at home as soon as I walk in!

I love the customer service. Everyone at Game Star has always been very welcoming to me and very helpful. No one has ever made me feel stupid or laughed at my choice of gaming, unlike other game stores in McMinnville. As well, their prices are amazing! Some places I've been to have such ridiculous prices with unreasonable standards. I just love it at Game Star! I highly recommend choosing Game Star as your place of purchasing game systems, games, tradings, just everything!

Offers a decent amount for used items for credit. Prices are cheaper than gamestop more comparable to what youd find online which is beneficial. Large selection of ps2 games currently. Some pretty awesome finds.

This is a nice place to go if you want to get some retro games and consoles from Nintendo, Microsoft and Sega, they also have PC games but the selection is very limited. You won't find many recent titles because its a store for trade-in's. I mostly come here to get some games for my Gameboy sp

These guys are gamers and know their business. They gave me good credit on the items I turned in. The selection for what I want isn't as good as gamestop's but I prefer them.

Been a customer since day one. Only one bad experience with staff, hence the 4-star. Otherwise, a great place to get vintage games, board games, and dvds.

I walk using a walker and the first thing I check is the door or doors to see if they are heavy or lite. But GameStar had their door propped open so I couldn't tell if it was heavy or lite. I went into the store and there was a whole bunch of kids in there. It's buy sell or trade with GameStar. They had quite a bit of merchandise to buy sell or trade. And in the short time, I spent in the store it is a hot spot where all the young kids like to go.

I traded in things in on a weekend, and when I later came back to purchase something with my credit on a weekend, they said I have to come by when a manager is available during the work week to use the credit.

The manager lady is super rude. They're selling a used series x for the price of a new one, and she was very rude when I asked for a discount of some kind because it's used. I'll never spend actual money there again.

I am sorry for any misunderstanding you may have had, however the only time we have ever asked anyone to leave our store is for the safety of our employees, or other patrons. We are grateful for every customer we have and get. I am assuming you are probably someone who has been asked if they have a mask during the state mandated timeframe of requiring a mask, and we have unfortunately had to ask people to leave if they were not willing to follow the state mandate. Thank you for your concern, however that is not even remotely within our stores culture nor beliefs to dictate which customers have a right to shop in our store. We thank every single customer for their continued support and we continue to be grateful for our amazing community.

They have some card game stuff and other video game things.
The employee was nice, but I had a bad experience when I was there.
I got to see firts hand as the employee was using discrimination to tell people that they could not shop in this store.
Its sad to see this happening in Mcminnville, but not suprising.
The employee was very clear that not all people are welcome or liked in his store.
He asked a woman to leave before she even had a chance to shop for anything or even see if the store had what she needed.
After he removed her from the store. He looked at me and some other shopper and said we are a small store and can not afford her kind in here.

Happy shopping out there and I hope they have what you need. I will not be going back. The true sade store here is they are the only store in town selling what I needed at the time.

I eneded up going to Salem to get the gift items I needed.

Place mostly deals in magic the gathering cards,  zero pokemon or other cards.  Not really worth the trip. Workers seemed uneducated about the products they did have/sell...

The new manger or "PIC"s is rude and seem to treat other customers like they are very stupid. I avoided talking with him just from what I could over hear being said to other customers.

Bought a vintage Pokemon game and they didn’t even sell it with a new battery. I had to buy all the tools and do it myself. Selling used video games is one thing but selling them for $125 dollars like they’re in pristine order when they don’t even have a working battery is malicious tactics.

Purchased an Xbox One console from this business.  Half of the power cord set up was missing. Thankfully it was the part that was a standard computer power cord so I had one laying around. Powered up the console and the included controller does not function properly.   I am seriously considering whether I should ever purchase items here again.

If I could give negative Stars I would the owner of this establishment stole $85 from us.we sold our Xbox and Kinect at the Oregon City store before the pandemic. the owner sold the Oregon City store and transferred everything to McMinnville now he refuses to give us our credit at that location. At no point did the Oregon City location contact us to tell us that if we didn't cash in we would lose our money they just sold off the assets and kept our Xbox.nothing is being offered to rectify the situation.I was told sometimes that happens with in-store credit. I don't know about you guys but I don't want to buy from someone who would steal from a nine-year-old.
