Working with Mr Assaf was very easy. He repaired and redid the upholstery on 4 of my dining chairs. He did a great job and his prices were very fair. I then brought in a victorian era rocking chair that had gotten rickety. He disassembled and put it back together and it is in great shape now. I will be bringing him some more furniture to reupholster in a few weeks. I recommend him very highly!

I purchased two beautiful chairs over the phone. I had them delivered to Michigan. The chairs arrived in perfect condition with the nicest delivery men. The entire purchase was seamless. I know that I will purchase from Assaf Antiques again.

My wife bought a Louis the XVI game table, not a original but a high quality copy, in a Paris flea market, When the table arrived, the band on the flip top had been shattered in 4 places from in-proper packing (long story), and we thought it may be a total loss. Assaf looked at it, and assured us he could repair the damaged band. It took a little more than a week to repair the shattered band. It was worth the wait! I have to use a magnifying glass to find the hairline cracks where the band was damaged. He does awesome work, and I highly recommend him!

I took my antiique rocking chair to Mr. Assaf to repair the arm that was broken off. I had my doubts that it could be repaired.Mr Assaf repaired it better than when I received it.

I first hired Assaf about ten years ago and was absolutely blown away by his work. He refurbished an antique French desk I bought for a song and made it look like it could be in a museum. When I recently inherited my Great-Grandfather's rocking chair it was in terrible condition and I immediately thought Assaf would be able to make it presentable again. In fact, he restored it to perfection. He actually rebuilt the whole thing and replaced some old pleather with real leather. My Great-Aunt, who had so many fond memories of the chair was very pleased with the work and thankful that I knew someone good to restore it. I would highly recommend him. He is a real professional and a true artisan who seems to love his work and respects good craftsmanship.

Mr. Assaf did an incredible job on restoring my antique rocker and settee. The pieces belonged to my great grandmother and passed down to me. The rocker was nothing but a frame that had been previously stripped and the settee had been in a barn for 50 plus years. He took the pieces and restored them to better than new condition. I'm over the moon thrilled with my furniture. It could not have been done without his care and expertise. He was timely, very nice to deal with, top quality workmanship, and a reasonable price. Stunning, beautiful, flawless rebuilding and upholstering of our antique sofa and dining room chairs. Mr. Assaf made their structures like new again. He transformed these threadbare but treasured pieces. Now the sofa is a centerpiece for our living room, in a gorgeous autumn floral pattern. He brought the chairs to life again -- sturdy, comfortable, and beautiful in blue ribbed silk, as the family gathers round the dinner table. Reasonable cost and turnaround time, an extremely good value.
