Craig’s Second Chance Restoration refinished our front door and sidelights. Craig’s work was really over the top in terms of thoroughness, attention to detail, and value of service received. He has a reverence for wood, extensive knowledge of different types of stains and sealants, and listens to his customers. His finished product exceeded our expectations in every way. He is easy to do business with and has integrity. Would recommend without reservation.

Craig's work shows an attention to detail as if the piece is his own and the result is nothing short of stunning. The hoosier showing in the attached photo has been in my family for approximately 100 years and was very much in disrepair. Craig's restoration work literally brought tears to our eyes. It's wonderful to have it restored.

Peck's Second Chance furniture does an amazing job! Craig Peck restored my favorite coffee table and when he finished it looked better than when I had bought it! The wood was brought back to life and he fixed the legs and brass inlay as well. The table is now nothing short of gorgeous!! Plus Craig is an absolute delight & great to work with. I would recommend Craig to anyone looking for high-quality furniture restoration. He does a beautiful job!

Looking for someone to restoring, refinishing or renewing furniture, doors or the such, I would recommend that you contact Craig Peck of Pecks "Second Chance" Furniture Restoration. I had two exterior wooden doors as well as the sidelights and transom refinished on both sides and I am very happy with the results. From start to finish, Craig completes all steps in a meticulous and professional manner with customer satisfaction in mind. In addition, he uses professional grade finishes that enhance the look and durability of the wood. His attention to detail and desire to complete deliver a top-notch finished product are obvious.

Craig is absolutely amazing! Not only is he skilled at his craft, but he is accommodating and a very nice person. Especially if you have high quality furniture, this is the Pittsburgh Furniture Repair company that you need to call. So here's our story, of how we were introduced to this wonderful company. (This is long, but interesting).... We had a mishap at one of our jobs, and a $2700 dining room chair's arm was broken. We have never had anything like this happen before, and so we were doubly devastated! So first, we did a Google search and found a furniture repair place that had good reviews and many years of experience south of Pittsburgh (that I will not name). I made sure the chair was carefully wrapped and protected when dropping it off. We told them the situation, and that we were willing to pay for an expedited service, since this was for a very special client, and we could not expect payment from our (rather expensive) job until we fixed this issue. The one gentleman said he would see what he could do to accommodate us. We patiently waited 4 weeks. The chair still had not been looked at, and the main lady refused to take into consideration our circumstances even though I was willing to pay more, and said it would be another few months. I had no choice but to go back, and collect my chair. When I did, I was appalled. There was junky wood furniture everywhere, and my expensive piece was thrown in with all of them (something had even fallen on top of it). If I had not wrapped it carefully (lots of plastic, bubble wrap, and towels), they would have wrecked the chair! At this point (I think only through prayer and a miracle guiding my web search) I found Peck's Furniture repair. He was pleasant, understood my situation, and was able to expedite (for which I was willing to reimburse him for). But I also appreciate that he took into consideration the value of the chair, and treated it with the greatest of respect. When we picked it up, his repair was amazing, and he wanted to make sure we were happy with it. I am so glad that we found him! And our client was very pleased too... He wasn't able to tell which was the repaired arm when we brought it back to him! This company gets the best rated Pittsburgh furniture repair award in my book.
