Best Buffet ever. I go there  a lot with my family. I really recommend everyone go and eat here.

Amazing!   You get overwhelmed by how much there is to see!   Would be a great place for gifts/ holidays.  Very reasonable prices.  A huge selection of different items.

The Shady Maple Gift Shop is a fantastic place to explore! It offers a wide variety of unique gifts, including Amish-made crafts, home décor, and delicious local treats. We went to their midnight glad. It was awesome. Glad we got there early because we were able to get in with the first flow. Kids enjoyed themselves.

Went to the grocery store and there was a great assortment of great fresh fruits and vegetables

Always enjoy this great buffet. It is country home cooking,and a very large selection. I highly commend it.

I highly recommend visiting the Shady Maple Gift Shop after enjoying a delicious meal at the Smorgasbord upstairs. The shop is located in the lower level and offers a wonderful variety of unique and well-organized items. It's a perfect spot to take a relaxing stroll after a big meal. Steve, the staff member, is incredibly friendly and welcoming, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

One suggestion I have is to consider adding more keychains or necklaces with a broader selection of names. I’m always on the lookout for a keychain with the names of my three daughters, and I often miss one of their names! Nonetheless, this shop is definitely worth a visit, and I’ll be back again soon!

Literally,  they have anything you want to collect. From, Disney to Looney Tunes to T- shirts.

Caters to the vistors in Lancaster county. Everything on sale during midnight gladness. Lots of stocking stuffers for those last minute shoppers.

Went for breakfast. Hands down the best no complaints.

We come here once a year, 8-hour drive and it's worth every mile.

Do not believe anything of bad about the gift shop good selection of decorations and toys and love that they have a penny press machine by the way I collect those.

Worth the wait to get in to this restaurant. And they're hiring!

I never knew this place existed!! My husband and I came here to hit the AYCE buffet on a whim.  After our lunch we came downstairs to check out the gift shop. Soooo much stuff.  since we were on a crunch time I didn't have much time to shop, so I will have to plan for another day.  They literally have everything!

We enjoy exploring the gift shop after eating at the smorgasbord. They have a large selection of handmade products. We purchased several shirts, postcards, handmade placemats, and coasters on our last visit. We also talked to one of the women about ordering a custom quilted blanket, pillows, and bedding.

We went to eat at the smorgasbord and were pleasantly surprised they had a large gift shop full of quality items. We will be back for the food and gifts.

An amazing assortment of gifts! I live close by, and I don't know why I bother shopping on Amazon, when I can just go here and find pretty much anything for a gift for any age! I highly recommend!

There was a TON of things in this gift shop to look at. Homemade Amish quilts, furniture, NFL themed items, jewelry, and so much more. It was huge! Prices were on the higher side for most things.

Put together every tourist shop you've ever been in, and you have this place! They have things you didn't even think about! It's fun just to walk around....and walk off some of the food you just ate!!

Beautiful, very well organized and they have a selection of about every and anything you could ever dream of wanting. I would highly recommend taking the time to walk through this gift shop! You won't be disappointed!

They have everything you can think of. There were toys in there that vrougjt back a flood of childhood memories! The prices are definitely set at "gift shop" level. Staff are helpful and very nice. Store was clean and not cluttered. Bathrooms were clean also.

Huge gift shop!!  There's so much to see and so many options.  There's Disney products, superhero merchandise, lots of figurines, souvenirs, and even a candy shop area.  It's a little pricey but still worth the visit.

And it's a great place to visit and walk off the massive amount of food you eat from the buffet!!  Definitely recommend checking it out while at the buffet.

I’ve found a huge gift store! Many options to pick from, definitely got my magnet. They have regular mass produced item with some local items in the store. People get nostalgic looking at those toys and collections of wall clocks. Unique experience with dedicated people to help guests. Love to come back from Penn State!

Large gift shop below the Shady Maple Smorsgabord! They sell all sort of items from knickknacks to furnitures and clothing, etc. some really high quality items there. I particularly like browsing through the Amish quilt store and found several good items I purchased from! Must visit if you happen to be in the area or visiting the buffet/smorsgabord!

A perfect place to walk off all the food you ate at the buffet! You could come here to get what you need for 30 different people! Such a large variety of different things!

Better than going to a mall. Such unique gifts! Send your husband to the car for an after breakfast nap and spend at least 1 hour looking at everything in this amazing store. Beautiful jewelry, purses, home goods, pet items, hoodies, and basic souvenirs too.

Hello Google Family. I enjoyed my buffet meal here. The food is out of this world!! I like the Gift Shop as well. I did not purchase anything but It is a great place to shop especially around Christmas time. The prices are reasonable and you can really find some good deals here. This was my first visit to Shady Maple so after a great meal it's only right to walk off some pounds and visit their amazing Gift Shop.

There are thousands of things to choose from but some particular items stood out to me more than others.

And there are some really beautiful flowers surrounding the outside as well 💐

We loved the gift shop it had so many items it definitely had something for every one interest. I would recommend if you vist the restaurant you should definitely vist the gift shop.

So much to see! The staff are friendly and helpful, there are gifts for every budget and the restrooms were clean and well stocked. Definitely worth the trip! Be sure to visit the market as well, the bakery is amazing!

Wow! Imagine every single gift store you've ever been to; road trips you've been on, every ride that has dumped you off in a gift store at an amusement park, any Ben Franklin you might have been in back in the day, airports, Hallmark stores, Christian bookstore, Walgreens, or grocery stores.  Throw in a Amish furniture store, homemade quilts - then rap a Target Store around the whole thing ...And voila! You got shady Maple gift shop :-)

Great place but prices are about 4 times as much as they should be cut all your prices in half and you will sell alot more . A shelf was $ 1300 wow rustic look .

I've been connected with shady the past 15 years especially for their food then I usually hit the gift shop for some exercise and buy stuff

I personally rate the gift shop at the Shady Maple a four.  This is not because it's bad or anything; far from that.  It's more because outside the more unique to Lancaster County fare, much of the merchandise and fare isn't that much different than a Hallmark, Shepherd Hills Outlet or the like so I'd like to see more to make this place standout, especially for a place that's a big draw for tourists.
The main gift shop is downstairs from the smorgasbord (or down the elevator) and has some very nice floorspace with a variety of gifts covering different interests.  The main appeal for me are gifts unique to either the Shady Maple or LanCo more generally and they have a good selection for both.  Of course there's the "all I got was a T-shirt" T-shirt thing but also wares made locally including some of their woodworking wares.  They also have a candy counter towards the entrance facing the food market.  Do note that they have a second gift shop in the food market, which is useful if the main shop doesn't have something and the location in the food market just might have it.
Again, like the food market and smorgasbord, they do very well at keeping the place tidy and well-maintained.  And as far as I know, their employees are helpful and do well.
Maybe not my go-to gift shop for some things, but definitely worth a quick stop while at either the food market or the smorgasbord itself.

A very huge selection of food. I’d mention that the food was lukewarm. The omelet that was prepared was not the greatest could’ve used more cheese.

A huge gift shop of souvenirs, Amish, and unique items from furniture, clothing, to magnets.  You make it, they have it.  The prices are a bit steep, but the quality seems good

Holy smokes! This is one of the largest gift shops I have ever stepped into. 44,000 sq. ft. I was surprised by the variety there is something for everyone there. It’s also a great way to wear off a bit off the buffet Food by walking around and shopping a bit.

Definitely something for everyone. Some good stuff mixed in with cheap, Chinese garbage. Fun too walk around and see some cool items.

When you arrive at Shady Maples Buffet, it's like the line at the airport security. When you finally get to the register and pay, you are hungry. The day we arrived, the elevator to the gift shop was not working, and two toilets in the women's bathroom were overflowing.
We were finally seated and checked out the food. I went to the drinks first. The ice machine was empty. I found ice in a machine further down the line.
I selected medium a well-done steak, which was actually rare. The fried chicken was greasy and tasted weird. The candied yams were good, but I challenge anyone to find the listed walnuts.
The corn was flavorful as well as the steak fries and Brussel Sprouts. But the broccoli was just soaking in bland, flavorless water. The crab soup was ok but crawlers. The Saimon and shrimp were either not fully cooked or overcooked, respectively. The mashed potatoes tasted like powdered, and the green beans were flavorless, too.
The baked potato was good, and there is every kind of topping available.
The brisket was the best and pulled apart with a fork. It is delicious as well.
The dipping gravy for it was great.
The Perogi were good.
We had dessert: the shoe fly pie was bland, the apple crisp was terrible. No one liked the pumpkin pie. The cheese cake was a hit, though.
Overall, I think that it is an overpriced and overestimated buffet.
I have eaten at better buffets, albeit smaller, but better.
Oh, did I mention that I had to clean the steak knife as all of them had residue of Tha last diner on it.

Recommended by a coworker. Said the place was great, many selections and the food was home made including the deserts. Said the deserts were of quality.  So I decided to try this place out, March 1st 2025. I went with family for the lunch period. Price for four adults, two of four on senior discount and one 6 year old. Total cost $136.00. This was a Saturday so they charge more on the weekend. The place is large. This place draws a very large crowd. The lines getting into this place is equivalent to the size of getting into the state fair. It's is a smorgasbord so you pay first before they find a table for you. We waited 30 minutes just to get to the casher and another 15 minutes after we paid to get seated. Now depending when you arrive you only have so much time before you have to leave. Lunch was from 11AM to 3PM. We got there by 1:15pm. By the time I paid and waiting for a table it was 2PM...because I paid for lunch I had only had one hour to eat before the dinner period starts. I sampled just about everything they had to offer. The steak is cooked while you wait however there was a lot of gristle veins. Several family members complain of gristle in their steak. The quality of food was no more better than Golden Corral. I can tell it was frozen straight to the oven. The ice cream was frozen custard and not real ice cream. The chocolate pie was instant pudding and not cooked. The peach and apple cobbler had filler and not fresh. If this place is owned by the Amish the volume and flow of food is no way logistically capable of cooking this food themselves. It was expensive, the quality of food is no better than Golden Corral.  The crowds make it stressful and difficult to move around. I can't give this no more than a 2.7.

Just because it’s the biggest buffet in the U.S. doesn’t mean it is one of the best. The food is mid and flavorless. Not sure if it is because of the time of day I went, but everyone was acting like they have never seen food before. Can’t teach others decorum.

The gift shop was nice. The food was not worth my time or money at all. Food was low end and burnt I would not suggest this to any of my friends.

This is a review for the gift shop inside the shady maple grocery market. My 6 year old purchased a toy with her birthday money that she had eyed up the last time we were there and had been talking about for a month. I let her purchase it against my better judgement. The first red flag should have been that this item was marked $7.99 while all the other ones of the exact same type in the same box were $6.99. I did not realize that until she had already paid. Within 5 minutes of leaving the store and walking around the market, they made an announcement that in 10 minutes, everything in the gift shop would be 20% off. I assumed I could go back and they would honor a discount of a purchase I had just made. I mean, why would they not have just told us that they would be running that promotion in 15 minutes? Went back in to see if they could price adjust and the girl at the counter had the worst attitude of any clerk I’ve ever dealt with. That book I interrupted her from reading must have been good, because she was SASSY before words even came out of my mouth! I asked if I could then just return the item and buy it again at the discount then, and she made me feel like the most worthless trash. I’m not a hateful person, but I’ll admit her demeaning tone and bobbing her head at me like I was an idiot really brought out the worst in me. It wasn’t right for me to give her attitude back, especially over what would have amounted to less than $2, and I regret my behavior, but she really should not be in charge of any kind of customer care. Seriously. And to make matters worse, the toy had a puncture before we ever got home and took the tag off, dangerously shooting water beads all over the car and dumping whatever mystery chemical it was filled with all over the kids. $8 for trash. I would not recommend the gift shop and I will not be back.
