This was my first visit to the Habitat for Humanity ReStore Shop. There were lots of goodies to pick from, including furniture, dining tables, bed frames, chairs, and, to my delight, home decor like cut glass and crystal.

The people are nice, the light bulbs are great for cheap, and the people you meet shopping there are sweet

I will almost always stop here before home depot. Good prices on many items for the DIY.
Best part is proceeds go to helping improve local Harrisburg Community.

Lots of great buys today! Bathroom faucets in chrome or nickle brand new $12.  New holiday decorations too!

I love stores like this. The only complaint I have is the used furniture was kinda expensive. I can buy brand new furniture for the prices they were asking for their used furniture. I do understand that they don't make furniture like they used to but it was still really pricey. They did have some really nice pieces though. They have a few sections, an odd and ends area, a kitchen glassware area, a furniture area, then bigger appliances, and things like kitchen cabinets, screen doors, doors. They have hardware for just about everything in a house. If your remodeling or doing any home repairs it's definitely worth checking out.

Great place to find your items for any repair or upgrades. Landlords and contractors can find a vast array of products. Homeowners can find new carpet, new trim, just about anything. Supervisors work hard to keep the store running efficiently and effectively especially when they are understaffed. Sales pop up sporadically for a great buy. I have volunteered at this location and it has been a great experience. Keep up the hard work Hbg Habitat Restore.

I just left the store the store has every homeowners little knick-knacks or small  DIY projects that you can think of.they have anything from doors to cabinets to Windows heaters house appliances glassware Cannes chairs sofas lampshades electrical outlets power tools they have it all any homeowner can go here or even an apartment person like myself I have an apartment and every time I have a project I stop there first because it's budget-friendly and because it's it's very functional what they have you can make great great home improvement projects from things here and they are very fairly priced for what you would pay at the normal home improvement home Depot Lowe's type of stores most of it is through donations which makes it even better because you know a community helps the community but I cannot wait to show off my project that I started from things bought in this store the staff is so friendly and so helpful the lady told me to bring him pictures of the finished project after the sofa I just bought at a very merry mystery price it was returned twice and I I became excited because it was I knew it was meant for me I was in a tight spot financially and I need it sofas and that happened and I'm excited and I'm going to make the best of it so soon I will post the pictures to show you guys what I mean but other than that the store is quite is quite big for a thrift store with furnishings I mean it has tolls it has center tables and has dryers has panels it has wood doors it has even some metal doors and sinks a lot of lamps that you can choose from some open paints that might work, or might not you do have to check those because you know they settle but other than that this is a great spot for home improvement for starters and anyone looking to do a DYI project

We like to think of ourselves as a "discount Home Depot" haha. Even better, the monies raised from the sales here goes towards paint, siding, flooring, and other building materials Habitat puts into your neighbors' homes. Thanks for the support and stars, Cora!

Always something new ans great prices and quality of used goods. I have shopped there many a day and bought furniture more than once. Always helpful and most are knolageable about home improvement needs. Home depot on a budget.

Awesome place to find used furniture, or building supplies (lumber, cabinets, faucets, lighting, etc.) at really great prices.  And the proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity to help build homes.

Love this store. They have tons of stuff. Almost anything you can think of period They even have jewelry dinner wear glasses toilets chairs tables every kind of tool you would want.

Great non-profit in Harrisburg. If you need to DIY ANYTHING in your home or rental, this is the place to find the materials, lighting, appliances, plumbing, flooring, furniture and much much more! Forgot to mention paint and paint supplies and tools too!!

A great place to donate and shop for home goods, furniture, and building supplies. The store is well organized, although you may need to pick through things a bit. I try to stop in on a regular basis to see what's available. They also have a good return policy if something doesn't work out and they will hold purchases for later pickup if needed.

Incredible concept and the staff and volunteers are so helpful. It's a bit hit or miss for supplies, but whatever you find there is such a bargain. Great place for DIYers and small business folk. Definitely recommend.

A great store with lots to choose from.  Not everything is easily reached, but the people who work there are happy to help when you ask.  Prices can't be beat, and the money goes to a great charity.  Plus, recycling!

Great store to check out if you are in need of something for your home. From doors, chairs, and cabinets to windows, new refrigerators, and lighting they have a little bit of everything. They seem to have a very high turnover rate, so, if you see something you want, I’d recommend getting it then and there! Very friendly staff and decent sized parking lot. Also, very easy to get to!

What a bargain! There are some really great deals here for decorating and furnishing you're home. The staff is very helpful. We were there until closing. They were very accommodating and friendly.

Have visited several times since it's opening, Staff was friendly and a large selection of recycled (and new) materials for reuse was available...loved the experience.  As a local contractor, the store provides materials for creative solutions to help clients stay within a budget, using materials, many times of better quality than are available new.  Keep up the great service to the Harrisburg community.

I had a great experience with at-home pickup. Drop off is different. Despite having clearly posted hours of operation, the business will often be inexplicably closed. It's a great charity, but you will always need to call and see if they're open.

Good variety because they have furniture but I feel the York store has much more for building although they keep their furniture in another store which I also feel has more

The store was very large, and had some great finds for an amazing price. If I lived in the area I would be sure to go here for furniture and decor!

First time stopping by. Husband and I just wanted to look around as we recently purchased a home and are doing updates here and there. They have a bit of everything--cabinets, sinks, tools, couches, chairs, tables, planting pots, knick knacks, dishes, frames. Great for DIYers! Good prices. Staff were friendly and helped us load our car. Will stop by again!

This place has some antiques but mostly old, new, mid-age home supplies like fans, wood, sinks and a lot of useful things for renovation or just decoration. You will find new stuff time to time and the supply is good.

Harrisburg Restore was very well staffed and they all wore masked and helped cudtomers well.  Compared to the Lancaster Restore they didn't seem to have as much product, but very well run and priced!

This is an excellent place to come to lol for recycled home and building supplies.  Buying from them helps support an awesome charity also. They have a little bit of everything and it's all constantly changing. Always worth a look.

Delightful place to explore! Used chairs, lamps, building supplies, trinkets, decorations, tables. . . Good prices and efficient workers to help you. Fun shopping here.

This is a great place to find hidden treasures and help others have a home. Need to spend time looking but tiles..flooring..appliances..lighting and even decorations that you cant find anywhere else. Nothing fancy about the shop and it may be a bit dusty for some.. but it is a service, not a boutique.  So if you need something out of the ordinary..a part..a knob.. That retro couch, windows for a back yard greenhouse, vabinets that have seen betyer days but are perfect for the garage or flea market fixer upper...or even odds and ends for that crafty project...help make a difference because it is a great place to start looking.

This place is chaos, but absolutely worth visiting if you're looking for secondhand furniture, tools, fixtures, odds and ends, and more.  Insanely affordable.

Great place to find that wierd, miscellaneous part/piece/material for that project. Architecture salvage with a hint of thrift store. I've gotten a used counter top here, for a garage cabinet project. I got windows, a door and hardware here. Also great to donate that old toilet or other big item.

The store used to be more reasonable, but I still like to stop in to see if I can get something at a price I can afford.

Sorry you had a tough time at our ReStore, Nicky. Our managers are always willing to revise a price. Our volunteers and staff do great work but the shop works best with our customers serving as partners. So, if you find a door here and can find a similar one at a home improvement store for the same price, we'll slice the price down considerably.

I would say there's mostly junk at this location. Way more expensive that Cincinnati. Which is disheartened.  Folks donate and folks like my family shop there for a deal. We were looking for a 6 panel door and found a few that were more expensive than Home Depot.

They tend to be very grumpy in there. It's not often you find kindness or a friendly smile from the staff. And that is unfortunate because when I walk in there with a smile, they tend to take it away.
The Harrisburg Restore is much higher priced than all of the other Restore locations that I have been to.

enjoyed my experience here not knocking this habitat, I couldn't really get a look at the showcase items they had behind the counter far away from the public sort of annoying so you had to tell the employee what you wanted to look at didn't really like that and when I wanted a particular item I believe it was an autograph quarterback memorabilia which was in the Showcase with everything else for sale that was not for sale it was to be auction I believe that should have been put up somewhere so people wouldn't ask..

Sorry you feel that way, Scott. Tools and supplies don't last long on our sales floor. Our prices rose to match guidance from Habitat for Humanity International; we want to raise as much money as we can for the cause. We value the donations folks give to us for our mission and set a price to reflect that. However, if things sit for too long, we are always willing to negotiate and discount the original sticker price we set.

Hope we can still partner with you to build safe, affordable shelter for you and your neighbors.

Use to love this place. Inventory is lacking and prices are way too high. Very few tools and supplies..Better advertised as a used furniture store now...

We now work with customers to hash out a price that works for them if management feels a compromise can be made. 29-10-19. Its a great place to get good used items, however the new manager have listed the prices of different items so high that its  not worth the trip.  I will update this rating if i find improvements since its a non profit.

Asked to have an object priced, guy says sure, come back in 10 minutes; I do--but he sold it to someone else.  Second time this happened. Also, prices are becoming greedy.  Need better management.

They are rude and are charging like the items are coming from home depot it's a shame yall suppose to be help but instead yall ripping ppl off

I wanted to make a donation of hardware and construction supplies in new condition. I completed the form on the Harrisburg Habitat ReStore website and scheduled a dropoff appointment online. During this process I had to enter an itemized list of all of the items that I was going to donate, including photographs of all items.

After completing this process, I received confirmation that they would accept this donation, and confirmation of my scheduled appointment.

I arrived at my scheduled time to drop off these items. The employee at the dock did not know anything about the scheduled appointment. He did not have any clue what I was talking about apparently. He also said that they wouldn't accept any of my items for donation.

Make sure you call ahead if you want to make a donation!

Young lady with glasses (claims to be manager) at register was very rude and would not honor price for item listed. She insinuated I switched the stickers. I told her to look at the cameras and check and she refused. I'll never step foot in this store again! Racial profiling at its finest!

Retooling our donation center to keep customers, donors, volunteers, and staff safe in a COVID-19 pandemic has been a real struggle. We implemented the appointment system to back trace our new gifts and contact donors in case of an outbreak. Please understand we do not wish to cause offence or undervalue your support; we just want to keep folks safe and the Donation Center operating within the guidelines we've designed.

I’ve tried to donate to them no less then three times.  They told me they didn’t need any items, and this last time they told me I needed an appointment.  We could have unloaded what I had in the time he was telling me I needed an appointment.  He told me it takes too much time, to inventory between appointments.  Everything I had was brand new surplus. I now understand why companies just dumpster stuff, instead of donating.  Which is a shame. Inside this store is a mess, with over priced junk.  There was one manager when the store moved to this building that was great. He was appreciative of your donations and would go out of his way to assist you.  Not anymore, I haven’t seen him in awhile, and the whole store went downhill.  I also donate through amazon smile, which I will also be changing.  Don’t waste your time donating, they don’t want to be inconvenienced by you.
