Once Upon a Child is a wonderful store to shop for children. It's a great alternative to shopping in large department stores because of their prices. Children grow so fast, so why spend more when you have this store for the community.

Love this store. Always can find what I'm looking for a great price. I have been coming here since I became a mother. They be having sales prices a good prices. Gently used items. I love their sneaker revealing and coat revealing during holidays, and whenever the weather changes. One of my favorite stores to shop for my son.

I have been coming to this consignment shop since my oldest, who is now 10, was born. I cannot say enough good things about it. It is by far the best consignment shop there is. Everything is so well organized, easy to find and well stocked. The clothes are in great condition and I can always find what I need. They also are very easy to work with and to consign to. The staff is always so friendly, kind and helpful! I tell everyone I know about the store and won’t shop anywhere else for my kiddos!

This store is very nicely laid out, by color and size. It also has tons of shoes! I'm so glad I was told about it! I'll definitely be shopping here again soon!

I recently learned about this place and I read reviews before even going there. I must say my personal experience there was pretty good. I did take clothes in to trade as well. For what the place is, the prices beat buying brand new when my child is growing too fast to do it all new financially!

Once upon a child has amazing customer service and all the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. The store is also very well organized and well taken care of. It makes things easy for me to shop quickly when I’m in a rush.

I have been shopping and selling to once upon a child for years.  I absolutely adore everyone there.  I’m not embellishing when I say that they make each and every time an enjoyable experience for both shopping and selling from customer service down to how they interact with each other.  They are always helpful, friendly and dedicated to what they do.  EXCELLENT job all around.  I HIGHLY recommend once upon a child to any parent or soon to be parent.

Very clean and well stocked store that I wish I had known about when my son was younger.

Heard about them recently so I came in to sell clothes that my son outgrew.  An entire bag of clean Adidas, Under Armour, and Nike t shirts and sweatshirts of which they only wanted like 3 items and gave me $15.

Not holding it against them I mean they want what they want it just didn't make a lot of sense to me so probably wouldn't bother selling again but they take donations too so I just gave the rest as a donation.

Definitely worth a trip if you're looking to buy though.  Also the staff was very friendly.

I have always had the best experience here. The moment you walk in your greeted and they have always been on time with when your items will be done. I have always had a great return value I don’t think I have received anything less than 70.00 and that is just two tubs. It pays off to keep things clean and bring up items that are still trending. The hour drive to the store is 100-% worth it.

I have only been here once but this store was very clean and organized. It was a lot bigger than I was expecting and I was able to find a lot of clothing for both of my kids. I have a girl and a boy and there were options for every season. We didn’t buy any toys or shoes but from what I saw, there were a lot of options for those as well. Some of the prices seem very reasonable and then there are other things that seem way overpriced for used items, especially items that truly look used. That has always frustrated me at all once upon a child’s. Overall I enjoy shopping there and it is where I get most of my kids clothes. However, I am very picky and will not get something used if it’s over $10. I go there to save money, not waste it.

Well organized, clean store. Employees are always very nice.
Special note though: if you are planning on selling items , they stop taking consignment 1 hr before they close.
This would be good to have somewhere on the site so people aren’t driving from far away to only be turned away.

Have enjoyed this place for many years. I like that the new owners have all of the seasons out all year round. Love that I can find the random items my child’s wardrobe needs for a fraction of the cost in stores. Have found many new items for a really good price.

Takes some stuff. Sometimes it's frustrating when the boys section is bare and I have boys clothes that anyone would gladly appreciate and they don't take them
But overall great deals and prices! Girls vs. Boys. Just take the boys stuff and give us boy mom options for cheap like everyone else!!

Great place to buy and sell children's clothes and items. I like that it is organized well by size. I just wish the sale items were on a separate rack during clearance sales. It takes a long time to look through all the racks for marked sale items.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.  A lot of what we pass on depends on the sizes.  Other factors sometimes play a role like condition or age but it's primarily size based.  Smaller the size, the more we get so the harder it is for us to resell.  BUT we are looking into the pricing to hopefully eliminate some of this. They always seem pass on a lot of items, I end up wasting my time taking it here. And for a second hand store, their prices are alright, but nothing amazing

$30 bag sale. I went early today 2nd person in line for the sale. The checkout process went smoothly. The clothing was in good condition. My only concern was that my Size 5 bag of Girls was all tops, Size 8 Girls was all bottoms, Size 10 girls was all bottoms. This was back to school shopping for my older two and now they have all bottoms. I know the lady working mentioned doing this again, next time bags with assorted tops/bottoms would be nice.. otherwise everything was great, thank you for the amazing deal!

I’m really torn with Once Upon a Child. The store set up is great! It’s pretty organized by color and age. However, the amount of money that you get for clothes you bring in is so minimal. We brought in bags upon bags of clothes our daughter doesn’t fit in. They took 10 items the second time and gave us about $9. I make sure to wash all of her clothes in Dreft before I pack them away. I organize them for the most part by size. The price to buy clothes from the store are kind of high compared to what is given. I spent $115 the first time as I was really in need of some shorts and other things for my daughter. I don’t remember my cash offer from the first time but it was under $12. I know it’s for convenience on both parties. For them, so they aren’t sorting forever and us so we don’t have to post them online and wait it out. But, the amount of money for things is mainly why people try to sell the clothes here. I feel like they take the clothes given for cheap and mark them up to make a profit. It’s not really fair.

First time coming and i really don't see the hype about it , majority of prices on clothes is the same price at walmart citi trends rainbows if not cheaper , wont be coming again too expensive for it to be used clothes, ill buy the same thing same price brand new elsewhere ,a disney onesie at citi trends is 8.99 here is also same price but used🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏽‍♀️ not even worth it

We called to verify they were accepting clothing, then drove an hour there after they said they were. Once we were at the store the staff said they have enough girls clothes and are only buying some brand new with tags girl clothes. Figured I would share that here to save someone else the time.

Dont get me wrong, I like the store and the staff have been pleasant. I'm only putting this review for their recent advertisement of $30 mystery bags on July 30th. I got a 3T bag which had 75 pieces. All tops whether it was shirts, jackets etc. My issue is they were all red which was very disappointing. Their store racks are color coordinating. I'm not sure why whomever was bagging couldn't grab a hand full or two of each different color. Now I have to figure out how to get rid of 50 red tops.

Sorry you felt disappointed with your experience.  Toys are a lowered paid out item. We try to price to move quickly as unfortunately we have to damaged several toys out daily due to getting broken. I took nice toys and brand new clothes they only took 8 items and offered me $10…I know they have to make money but the way they accept items doesn’t make much sense especially when you walk around the store and see junky items being sold.

It’s a great store for shopping! But I don’t recommend trying to consign it’s a hit or miss and you’ll probably be disappointed.

They want you to bring the clothes in neat and all laid out for them however, after they go through it, they literally just throw everything back in the bin. I feel that’s absolutely disrespectful. You want us to take the time to lay them flat so it’s easy for you to go through them and instead of being respectful and laying them back in the bin like you found them you just throw them in all mixed together. Very disappointing with how you treat our belongings. Just some food for thought if you want us to neatly present them to you, you should be neatly putting them back in the container for us.

Sorry you were disappointed with your experience or feel like you got ripped off. We sell items at a discounted rate and on order for you to receive $50, we would have to sell at retail value. You do better selling those items on your own and cutting out the middle man.  
Yes, we are particular in what we take, as we pay you money outright for the items and need to be able to recover what we paid. We see thousands and thousands of items a day and can not take them all. Second, our customers are looking for quality items. Went to sell some items and I gave them a brand/not opened new pamo babe pack and play that would cost 109 on Amazon but they only gave me like 20 bucks for it.....50 would of been a better amount. Like I was just shocked on how I got ripped off like that.
I suggest not to sell them anything cuz they are very picky on what they want and how it looks. Just put any clothes or toys in those donation bins you see around multiple locations.

I took in boys clothes that were in great shape and good quality items. Nike, Adidas, under armor. Shorts that are over $10 new.  They wanted to pay me like .50 cents to 1.00 per item that they sell for like $5 or more.  I would rather donate these then sell to them. They are a rip off.

I do teach our team to go through the items as quickly as possible so that we can keep our buy waits very low. Our goal is 20-30 min per transaction. We don’t want our customers waiting long to have their items processed so we try to make up time where we can. With our process we purchase hundreds of thousands of pieces a year so speed is our focus. I understand your frustration but wanted to let you know why. Thank you 

We brought clothes into the store and they treated it with absolute disrespect.  They completely trashed our bins.  We had everything cleaned, organized, paired together and labeled, and the bins came back in shambles.  We set them up to make this process as smooth as possible and the staff treated our clothes with zero care.   This one star rating you got is very generous. What a nightmare.

This store is THE absolute WORST!! If I could give it 0 stars I will. Where is your old staff? How can you run a business with little kids. I get it, we all must start somewhere but come on and what's the deal with the manger "Kim" her attitude stinks!!! This lady has either been there too long or she just hates her staff. You have new employees every other week more then you get NEW things in to sell. Who owns this place, maybe he or she needs to sell this business back to the original owner. Your business sucks !!!! Your store is a mess. Clothes are all over the place, toy section DISGUSTING! Let's not get started on your shoes. where are all the "COATS" at. False advertising people. You have NOTHING!! I should have took a picture while I was there and save people their time AND gas.

Staff is disrespectful. If you take in a bin (which they request) of clothing that is neatly sorted, they go through the entire bin and throw everything back in a mess. Never will return.

Also staff bribes customers with a coupon to leave a 5 star review.

This place use to be great, now it is the worst. The employees are the absolute rudest, and disrespectful. I was in the other day and their system crashed. They were unable to take card. I didn't have an option of running to an ATM for a credit card, and had no cash. They took my name and number, set my stuff aside and said I WOULD BE CALLED AS SOON AS THE SYSTEM  WAS BACK UP so I could come get my things. Well 2 days later... I called asking if the system was up. She said yes. I asked why I never got a call and she said she doesn't know about that but I have today only to come pick up my stuff. I told them I can not come pick it up in less than an hour. I am atleast 45 min away to begin with and it wasnt my fault the system crashed. I asked to speak to a manager, a "shift leader" got on the phone rudely. I explained again that I NEVER was called and told your system was up but i can not get there until thos weekend due to my work schedule and they close by 8pm. She responded with it wasn't her fault either that the system crashed and that is the rules. I dont understand how their system crashed allowing me to not pay
their employee took my name and number and said they would call as soon as the system was up and working, I never got a call and now they returned my stuff to the floor. Honestly, with the lack of choices for clothes anymore, the dirtiness of the facility and stains and holes on clothes for sale (very poor quality unlike years ago) amd then how rude and ignorant the staff is. I don't understand why they are like this, they really ruined something good. I think that will be the last time I ever shop with them. If I could give zero stars I would. Their reviews for the past months show how bad they have become... and they don't care.

Went there the other day. Good deals on clothes but I will not be back. The lady who rang me up was too busy on her cell phone to pay attention to me or my ex who was next in line behind me. She was taking to Jada, I'm guessing that's her daughter. Something I should not even know. If I'm at your register spending money at your store ,and you can't put your phone down and give me your undivided attention, you should not be working there!
It was if I was an annoyance that was interrupting her call. I'm so sick of seeing this from employees. Jada's Mom should be fired !!

Daughter called store on Saturday and asked about dropping off clothes.  They said they were open until 8 - arrived at 7:30 and was told they don't accept clothes past 7 p.m.   Told us to come back the next day - drove the 20 minutes home.  Dropped clothes off the next day at 1:30 (5 bins and the process took less than 5 minutes - why couldn't they had done that on the night before) - text message at 3 saying the cash offer was ready with no other directions.  Texted back to find out more information - no reply.   Daughter went on Monday and they gave her money for the items they took, but she had to ask twice to get back the items they were ready to ship elsewhere.   Lack of communication and poor customer service.

If I could give 0 stars I absolutely would, the customer service was horrible. We were not told we had to be back THAT day to get our items back that they passed on. I had 5 bins and I went back the very next day and had to ask twice for the to double check to see if they still had them. Thankfully they did. They took 89 things and gave me $71… mind you when I got the chance to look at what they might taken and they were larger items like snow suits and nice name brand jackets. It was a TOTAL RIP OFF. DO NOT CONSIGN HERE.

I had a bad experience the last several times I went in to shop there. Every time I go in there, the racks are very unorganized. I find many different sizes in one size. So I brought in a bunch of toys & clothes, was told it would be ready in an hour. It takes me 14 mins to get home. As soon as I got home my offer was ready. There’s no way they went through 3 boxes of toys and a big bag of clothes within 14 mins. It’s like they didn’t even bother.. and everything was in pretty much good condition… there were a couple outfits that still has the price tag on them. I think they pick & choose honestly…Plus they bought 12 items from me for $12. So it was $1 per item. Not happy about that. I don’t think I’m ever going here again.

We will never be shopping here or taking our items to sell here again.  The people there were very inconsiderate and rude.  TERRIBLE customer service.  Tried to call several times before we went there and no one answers their phone.  I drove almost an hour to get there after work and arrived on the dot on time to sell our items and they wouldn't even look at them.  Seemed obvious they just didn't want to do any more work and couldn't care less about me even after I explained I drove almost an hour.  I ended up donating my items except my stroller (which they had a sign for there saying they needed!) and would rather donate then sell my things here.  0 stars.  Will never be going back.

Do not recommend anyone to waste their time coming to this store. I drove over an hour to get there and a full bin of stuff was not accepted which was not outdated and in great condition. Not to mention the bin didn’t even look like it was looked through. I brought in a swing and bassinet and only received $40 dollars for both. Both I bought new a little over a year ago. When I took a look through the store the stuff I brought in looked like it was in a lot better condition than what was on the racks. Seems to me as they didn’t want to take the time to look through my bin. Very disappointed. First time there and never going back again.

Visited Harrisburg, PA store to drop off clothes/books/shoes/toys. Called the store prior to heading over to ask if I can bring items and was told as long as I arrive there by 7pm, they'll be able to  go through my items. I got there right before 5pm. When I got to the counter, a young lady approached to help me but an older women yelled saying they cannot accept, they are too busy and short staffed. I would have been understanding and simply return another day, however, the attitude of the older women was rude, unprofessional and she made me feel unwelcomed.
I have used this store before Covid for both shopping and consigning and they were friendly and most of the time, they accepted everything I brought.  Just a bad vibe this time. Maybe staff are overworked and tired it certainly reflected in their attitude towards me :-(
Sadly I won't be visiting this store anymore.

Came by your Franklin, Tn store in February 2022 and purchase 3 pairs of dressy girls shoes for a daddy/daughter dance. Got home and realized that ALL 3 pairs were broken. 2 were broken so badly they could not be worn. I tried to contact someone but no return call. I did return to the store to get the refund for the 3 pairs of shoes & someone did end up calling me back 2 weeks later. I decided to wait a while before returning in hopes that the store would check there merchandise before selling it. So, after some time i decided to go back to shop on Saturday 1/21/2023 around 3pm and was really looking forward to shopping on my only day off and they were closed. Sadly we had to go somewhere else to purchase what we needed. Thankful that others are open the hours they post and answer the phone when called.

Very confused by the new approach with determining which clothes or items will allow for trade in credit or cash. My fiance brought in Jessica Simpson outfits, among a slew of other new to barely used items and they offered nothing. Seems like they might be looking for very specific items that will flip quickly, not so much outfits that might sit for the right buyer. Disappointing because we love shopping at this store and have found amazing deals.  Hopefully this was a rare occurrence and things will change in the future. We don't need the money, but wouldn't have cared if .30 cents was offered. We'll just give all away to a family in need. We had another 40 gallon worth of clothes to bring in, but seems pointless now.
