I had a few returns but did not have the receipt. The manager was very helpful and winded  up, giving me a store credit for the return.  I’m very bad with holding onto my receipts.  I do shop at that store all the time.

27$ for 3 things… usually not bad but i gave them lightly worn timberlands and a vintage kenneth cole leather jacket and then some AE skirt

If you like good deals and good clothing this is the spot for you. Was oblivious to this spot but glad I found this gem. Got a Bryce Harper jersey with the tags still on it, two Nike workout shorts and two sixers(yes I know they are terrible right now) all for $120. It all looked brand new and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back again.

This store is great for selling all those clothes that you do not need or wear anymore. All the employees there are extremely nice and helpful. Will alwyas be my go to when selling unwanted clothes or even going in and shopping for quality stuff for a great price. Highly recommend and i don't say this about alot of places. Keep up the great work and thank you for making my experience such a pleasant one.

I love this place so much!  The staff is always super helpful and pleasant.  I have personally consigned with them and I find their system incredibly efficient and fair.  Most importantly, they have a terrific selection of well cared for, pre-loved clothing and accessories.

Very good experience! It’s very clean to shop in. Everything is very nice. Although their selection in high end is small, they had a lot of variety. Workers are excellent. I sold some clothes here and I got more than I expected. Will definitely be coming back soon!

Yest it was a snow day and I happen to see the store was opened . I have never been in so I decided to take a look ! When walking in I was greeted with a hello and a smile - I had a few questions but the store had 3 more customers come in at the same time but the girl took care of all of us even though she was the only one there ! She was very polite and courteous!!! I don’t know if she is in a management position but she should be!!
About 20 mins later another girl came in and was also very polite !!!! I honestly had a really good experience and will be going back to the Langhorne Pa store !!! TY

The staff is friendly.  I like that I can take my daughters clothes there and if they don’t accept, they will donate.  Please be aware that this is a HS and college shopping experience.  They do not take Walmart or Target brands. Definitely not any Missy looking items.

What a great shopping experience, with the kind of customer service I haven't seen anywhere in decades. The staff here blew me away with how genuinely nice they were to customer after customer.

It was my first trip to the store and the Dollar Days promo I saw on FB got me in. I was not disappointed. Amazing selection of super cool shoes and boots, top brands, designer pocketbooks, club outfits, dresses, skirts, office casual, men's wear and all around comfort clothing with a few vintage items in the mix.

Assistant Manager Hailey checked in on me a couple of times, got me an extra cart when my first one was tipping over and just couldn't have made my thrifting experience any better throughout my whole 3 hours in the store. She even put a 24 hour hold on my 2 carts full of clothes, so I could come back with my son to have him try items on.

On top of all this, the offers on trade-ins were really generous and available in cash or store credit (10% discount on purchases with the credit). Lastly, shopping here was designed for ease - bins of sale items by size, but also Dollar Day sale items mixed in on the racks, which I thought would be a pain to hunt through, but the sale items were clearly marked and all tags were on the outside, so swiftly sifting through was a breeze (no hunting to find the price-tag) and the method of sorting through the racks to locate the deals really encouraged me to find items I loved and wouldn't have looked at otherwise (smart way to up sales). I could see how the sale turned over items quickly and got new inventory in the store. I want to see what came in during the sale that will be on the racks in a couple of weeks.

I will be back, I will be telling all my girlfriends about Uptown Cheapskate. This store is that rare find - a hidden gem & a fantastic shopping experience! Kudos to the owner for finding such awesome staff & running a consignment store the way it should be run.

Uptown Cheapskate is a fantastic place to shop! Their owner/manager always goes above and beyond for whoever walks in. She’s honest and fair, and just over all a lovely person! GREAT EXPERIENCE!! They were quick & efficient with handling my sells. When bringing in items for sale, they gave me the BEST offer they could.. better than any other consignment store I’ve ever been to. Just an all out good vibe there!!

The store is organized and very clean. It’s easy to find your size and style.  I sold and bought the day I was there.  The associates are pleasant and polite and my buy was completed quickly.  I knocked off a star due to their outrageously high prices for preowned items. I can find something on sale and get it for less than they were charging.

Really just came for some decent basketball shorts, but I was surprised to see a great selection of other stuff, particularly the sneakers and winter jackets. They had a ton of brand-name basketball shorts that I think are 50% of what you'd pay at retail.

Went to this store to try to sell a lot of clothing that no longer fits. Name brand plus size items. Also had some great shoe options for higher end shoes. They took not one thing.

They had minimal plus size items on the floor so I was surprised they weren't interested. They said might items were previous seasons. I came home and listed all 38 items on eBay. 5 have sold in a few days so I have a new option.

While waiting to have my stuff reviewed I browsed the store, Because you can't make an appointment you just go in and 4 other people were waiting to have their clothing reviewed for purchase.

I had a lot of time to browse. They have everything displayed nicely. They have a men's and women's area and lots of accessories including high end brands. They have lots of fitting rooms and a rewards program when you earn points based on what you spend. Their clothing price points were lower than I expected. Most things i liked were under $15.

If you are under size 12 women's or a man this place is great for shopping, rather than selling.

I since have posted all 38 of my items on eBay. 5 have sold in a week! Maybe uptown needs to take their inventory online!

This was the first time I ever went to Uptown Cheapskate so I did not know what to expect. Chelsea went through my clothes and shoes and took most of what I had. She told me they don’t usually take handbags unless they’re name brand so I didn’t understand why she rejected two, one was Michael Kors, and one was Guess. It wasn’t quite the upscale consignment shop I’m used to dealing with, nevertheless, I did take her offer.

The staff is exceptionally friendly, and they offer a wide selection of clothing at very affordable prices. That’s said, it’s clear why they offer so little for the clothes you bring.
I’ve brought clothes to sell here twice, and on both occasions, I was told that they couldn’t accept them because they don’t work with certain brands. While my clothes were in good condition, they weren’t from widely recognized labels. I’ve included pictures of the clothes I brought in to give you an idea of the condition and style. If you plan to bring in your items for sale, I highly recommend checking the list of accepted brands beforehand (they have it attached here). Also, be prepared for a minimal payout, even if your clothes are brand new with tags or from reputable brands- so you won’t be disappointed.
While I’ve had mixed experiences selling items, I ‘ll definitely continue visiting the store for buying clothes, as the prices are great and the selection is solid. However, l’ll stick to shopping, not consigning.

I went yesterday with two full bags of mostly  new tagged clothing.  The girl made a mistake in her  "evaluation" of the clothing having looked at one  person's and then thought it was mine and closed the sale with me.  The other customer and I realized her error and brought it to her attention.  That being figured out, with the help of her manager and then their district manager, she told me she needed "20 minutes or so" to go thru my bags. Within 5 minutes she called me to the front and said they couldn't make me an offer because the jean jeggins don't sell well , etc.  There was ONE pair of jean jeggins.  The other clothes looked untouched.  Obviously not re-folded. There is no way she could have gone thru approximately 35 pieces of clothing in that amount of time.  Something told me that she "couldn't make me an offer"  because she screwed up with my account.  Her comment regarding the jeggins (which were on top) set off a definite red light. I felt as though her honesty was definitely compromised which in turn made me question the store's operating procedures.  Not best practice by any means! If you screwed up be honest and say it! Don't lie to customers with some lame excuse about jeggins sitting on the top of the pile not selling. Even if they don't which is fine don't say you need 20 minutes and then you are called back up in 5.

While I love the styles and level of organization of this store, I was offered very little for pristine clothing, mostly all with tags. For 21 pieces including many $80 dresses and $ 40-50 tops, I was offered $97 credit or $87 cash.

I did not like how the clothing they selected to buy of mine was already in a bin behind the counter and I had to ask what pieces they were interested in taking when they gave me the offer. That did not feel very forthcoming to me. Almost like they did not want you to be able to total it up in your head when getting the offer. 😕

I’ve already been contacted by management on how they sell items 50-75% off, and how seasonality, style, brand and size can affect my total.

While staff was very welcoming when I arrived, I did not feel good leaving the store. Perhaps I can change this review after my next visit.

Hi, I'm sorry you were not happy with your buying experience. Our buyers look at over 1000 items a day and are trained to work quickly. They can assess an item by it's pattern, style and brand very quickly and the process can move along at a fast speed. I looked at to why your items weren't given an offer and it was due to age of styles. We look for pieces no older than 2-3yrs of age. Our demographic is high school/college age. So if they don't fit that profile, we do pass. We are also not taking in any swim wear so the Ralph Lauren skirt would have also been a pass. I'm sorry you feel as if you are black listed but we see so many customers in a day, let alone week that we would not  "black list" a person. Unless they have made an issue within the store or have been verbally abusive to my staff. That has rarely been an issue. The next time you are in the store, have a look around and see what types of items we purchase. That should help with your selling experience. We do appreciate our vendors. Thank you for stopping in. 

I brought in about 20 items to sell. She said she’d take about 15 minutes to look through the items. I said I’ll shop and I barely looked at one item (less than a minute) and she said they couldn’t take any of my items. There is absolutely no way she looked through all my items!! I agree some were for an older crowd but I had a Ralph Lauren swim skirt and like new Sam Edelman sandals in there geared for younger but I guess that’s not upscale enough.  I feel like I’m blacklisted because prior I said they don’t pay out well as compared to other shops.

Its a shame because all of the young girls that work there are so friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful, but the manager is extremely rude!!! I understand I brought in repeat items. I went through and brought back in the cuter items and also added more. The manager then speaks to me with a horrible attitude and says " we've already seen these clothes, they are out of style, do not bring these in again!" Meanwhile they are not out of style!! They were rompers and Jean shorts from hollister and aerie! And guess what lady! I'm bringing them back in for summer!!! I only brought them back in figuring I could get some store credit on something i saw there i wanted over the weekend!  She should not be a manager with that horrible customer service!

Do not go to this store to sell anything. They are ridiculous.  The woman’ that waiting on me does not know what she is doing. Furthermore my stuff was brand new. Most of it never worn.  And I get a response. Oh we do not take that style really??  My stuff was nicer than what they have.  Horrible experience

Went in there with a bunch of high quality clothing and more expensive brands. Was not looking to come up large but just looking to make a little cash on 5 items I brought in. For reference I brought in a brand new Northface Parake, Jordan 4 Black cats, Gallery Dept Pants, Hellstar Hoodie and shirt. All together those cost well over 2 grand. My face when the lady told me the best should could give me in cash was 110. I get they have to make money at the end of the day it is a business but lowballing to that degree is insane. Not a single one of those items costs below the total she gave me for all 5. Will not be going back just save your time.

I'm sorry you were not happy with your selling experience. We buy items in gently used condition and we do our best to not sell anything with stains or issues. Sometimes things do slip through but it's very infrequent. As for your buy, you did have great brands but the condition of your items did not meet our standards. Maybe you'll have better luck next time. We do appreciate your taking time to come in. 

Clothes are dirty and so are shoes, but they won’t take half the things you bring in in better condition. The employees were also selling their own clothes.

I only gave it 1 star because I had to, they would have gotten 0 stars if it was an option. I went to this store to sell about $2000 worth of White House Black Market clothes and received $17. I wasn’t expecting to get what I paid but I was expecting to be treated with respect. 95% of what I sold still had tags on them and I questioned the lady that helped me and asked why I only got $17, she started throwing the clothes back on the counter,  saying, “not what we’re looking for, not what we need, do you want them back” and was just really nasty to me for no reason. I wouldn’t go back in that store if it was the last place on earth, not to buy things or sell things!!!! Give a second thought if you do decide to shop here and know they how they treat their customers! DISRESPECTFUL!

I tried to sell some of my clothes here and the staff was very disrespectful. While they took a few of my things, they informed me that the rest of my items were not in good condition. This would have been fine, but they had the audacity to sell other stuff with stains and rips. Here are some pictures that I took while looking around for less than ten minutes.
