Hands down my favorite thrift store ♥️

There’s so much to see in this thrift store! The book selection is really cool, their clothing is nicely organized, and their creative decorations deserve a lot of appreciation. This thrift is filled with inspiration! I hope you enjoy your visit :)

Great thrift store with a big personality. Low prices, items are constantly turning over. Good selection of clothes, belts, toys, books, sunglasses, kitchen stuff, picture and poster frames, Christmas and other holiday decor (available year-round). The furniture is hit or miss but when it hits it's the only place in the area you can find affordable, solid wood stuff.

This store is so much fun.  All kinds of interesting buys!

I was surprised how large it is inside and really enjoyed looking at all the items. There are vintage clothes, bins full of clothes, accessories, party clothes, holiday decorations, household decorations, and more! Great vibe inside as well.

One of my favorite places to go. Been going there for 13 years. I'm never disappointed.  And the staff is exceptional..

Seasonally install  new items with lots of choices. I  stop by to collect books from time to time.

Absolutely obsessed. They have everything and their prices are among the lowest in the city. It's like a thrift store warehouse dream come true!

The kindest people work here, their inventory is incredible, and they're VERY efficient when helping move furniture!

This is my kind of thrift store. Lots of square footage and a ton of items to look through. Tags and stickers everywhere, that was honestly half of the fun. Don’t forget to check out the upstairs. Loved the denoted “goth” section 😂

A veritable treasure trove of items, including pretty much anything you can think of and then some!! They also sell mementos of your visit, so I came away with a Philly AIDS Trust tee. Really great charitable initiative and a relaxing and interesting place to walk around.

I randomly landed on this thrift store Google search, and remembered that I had shopped here a couple years back...and what a really great find! Really unique items, wonderful prices, wish i had more time the day i went:) store personnel was extremely kind and helpful:) glad to know that it benefits local AIDS resources

Dollar bins are a great deal. Other clothing items are on the higher side for thrift. I find their housewares and dresses to be full of good deals. Housewares and kitchen items under $5 and great quality. Dresses from $5-$25 and great quality. Found a winter coat here last season real down feathers and designer brand for only $25. You have to look around for the deals but they are here. Everything goes to a good cause.

Incredible prices and a really nice selection, plus all proceeds go to a great cause. I found this really nice coat in the dollar bin and due to a discount it ended up being 75 cents. I’m still in shock and will be returning.

This place is a lot bigger than it looks from the street. Everyone there was pleasant and helpful.

I donated a decent number of clothes and toys to Philly Aids Thrift and the process was very efficient and smooth. I called ahead to check until what time they were accepting donations and also informed them I’d be coming with a few bags of clothes. When I arrived, I let them know I where I parked and a staff member quickly offloaded my bags and brought them inside. They gave me a slip for tax purposes and I was on my way in a matter of minutes. (I counted my items prior.) Overall, I had a great experience donating to this store and I will be coming back again (next time to shop - they had some very cool items displayed!)

Awesome! You never know what strikes your passions. It has very unique decor. At least due a walk through if you are in town.

One of the best and largest thrifts I've ever been to. A massive, eclectic wonderland with as wide a selection of items as I've ever seen in a single shop.

So many of my favorite pieces (furniture/decorations/records/books) were found in here.

Really wonderful place! The books are so cheap and they have a fantastic selection. Really cute decor/layout—probably the cutest thrift I’ve ever been to—and the employees were really friendly. The clothes seemed a bit pricey to me, but I don’t live in the Philadelphia area, so I’m probably not the best judge.

This place is chock full of goodies! Anything from a pair of earrings, artwork, clothing, books, rugs, furniture to many many other items. A great secondhand thrift store. I have also donated here many times. They are always very kind and will give a little assistance in helping you bring in your items.
Check their website, because they do not accept donations every day. Their website will also post any special sales they might have going on.

This is by far one of the better thrift stores I’ve ever been to! The book selection was very organized, diverse, well priced and everything in excellent condition (good enough to rival any used book store)! The store is massive and spans two floors with clear sections for art, music, books, home goods, clothing, games and miscellaneous decorations. I highly recommend this store - prepare to spend some time exploring it all!

Love this place! So lively! Good prices! Always good stuff. Parking is two hour parking. Staff is very friendly. They have great art work and so many books!

This is our go-to organization whenever we have clothing, books, art or household items to donate. Staff is friendly and helpful as we drop items off. They provide employment to folks who are struggling to make a living. There's usually a drop-off parking space right in front. Year-round, I love walking our dog by their storefront: they create quirky, colorful displays for every holiday (Halloween and Valentine's Day windows are the best)! Tip: for tax purposes, make detailed notes/photos of what you donate.

This is the most hoppin' and well laid out thrift stores that I've ever been to. You walk in and it feels like a party. Everything well lit and the decorations create a fun vibe. Sections are distinct and have their own flair. I had a blast walking through the store.

Philly AIDS Thrift is a gem right off the popular South Street in Philadelphia. There’s a variety of clothes, nicknacks, home decor and odd items to sift through. Leave your expectations at home and prepare to walk out with something you really don’t need but couldn’t resist buying.

This is a great place to go to if you want vintage clothes, cheap clothes, movies, CDs, vinyl records, kitchen stuff, furniture, electronics (cheap monitors, keyboards, cables, audio equipment...), and more. The variety of stuff they have changes every time you go back, since they’re always getting new donations in.

An added bonus to Philly AIDS Thrift is that they have free HIV testing and proceeds go towards supporting HIV/AIDS service organizations.

Big store, super friendly and good service. All ways had something good prices whenever I stop by . I donated my stuffs to this store too. A lot of my house decorations I bought here. Love this place!

Have been coming here for at least seven years.  Nothing beats it.  I go to Buffalo for something different.  I am playing like a long game of strip tag with this place.  I bring at least three bags of clothing (90% from previous excursions here) when I come to shop.  It is just something so enthralling to me. Because I dont buy first hand and here get to mb n run free.  My husband and i...  the dedication and love we had for the place brought us together when we first met.  And it continues to be a outing, a melting, we get to experience together.  It is also the best place for a painter to get cheap canvases.  There are always paintings people did at Painting with a Twist and then threw away.  I don't feel bad painting over those.

I am visiting from Minneapolis and stumbled upon this stores block party yesterday! Got great deals on a few items. Such a funky, fun and hip thrift store! Love love love that it supports AIDS education and research!

This thrift store has a great selection and prices. I especially love shopping for books here. They donate proceeds to local HIV/AIDS service funds - it's great supporting a worthy cause. I would definitely recommend them.

I like this place, use to love it. I thrift for fun not for resell and Their prices are a little high now. A couple years ago i got a night stand for like $5 and now it would probably cost me like $25 here. Definitely try to talk them down because some of their prices on dishware and used clothes don’t seem fairly priced for a non-profit.

I was able to work with a nice gentleman who gave me an okay deal on a 30piece dishware set. They had it marked at 1.99 per piece which is outrageous but he gave it to me the set for $20. I think this set could’ve been originally purchased for like $30 and it was slightly damaged/chipped.
Id still go every once in a while to see if i could find a decent deal but I can find things for a better deal at yard sales and estate sales.

A very unique and trendy thrift shop that I highly recommend. It is a welcoming environment and a labyrinthine of objects for you to marvel at and potentially take home! Vintage clothes, vintage tech, cheap furniture and more. I highly recommend this place.

As much as I love this place, they don't make donating easy and don't have their donation hours posted on Google. They should have a note saying "special donation hours" here. They don't accept donations on Sunday or Monday (dumb) and only take donations from 12-7. I showed up with a car load of higher-end home furnishing and was turned away on a Monday at 11:30am. Their loss and GoodWill's gain (unfortunately). A woman parked in front of me also had a back seat full of nice home stuff and she also left for GoodWill. If you are open, you should take donations - period. Donations should be a priority.

Philly AIDS thrift has fallen into the “I know what I’ve got” level of pricing. There’s definitely deals to be found if you’re willing to look and the dollar bins are reliable. But man, at these prices I’d rather specifically look for brands on eBay, Facebook marketplace or one of the consignment stores on south street where I can actually try stuff on. It’s hard to get excited and impulse buy something here anymore.

Fun place. Lots of different themed sections and rooms with all kinds of cool knick knacks and clothing. Organized. Big, can easily spend a few hours in there. Very much appeals  to the millenial/gen z crowd so I wouldn’t say this is a good family thrift environment.
Now for the not-so-positive…calling it a thrift store seems like a stretch. It’s more of a curated vintage store. Some of their prices are reasonable but some are just far fetched. $80 for a vintage sun dress that was tattered, had stains, and was all pinned up. Tag proudly boasted the ridiculous price along with “pins and all!!! :)” written in sharpie, which felt condescending.
I should have probably guessed that at any place where the staff writes buzz phrases on tags like “it’s givinggggg sis!!” i’m probably not going to find the best priced merchandise. But still, some of the prices are silly.
Maybe philly natives understand the appeal. I honestly didn’t. It was a fun experience, but definitely a one and done for me.

This used to be the best thrift stores in the world! While it's still a beautiful store and amazingly decorated, it's just not the same. The whole point of a thrift store is to be able to go in there with maybe 10 or $20 and get an entire outfit. It's for people who can't afford clothes and other home goods. But now it is extremely expensive. I stopped in there and they had things that were $400. Is the great store and I always donate to them, I will continue to donate but I have to find a thrift store that is actually a thrift store.

What's the point of selling clothes if there's no way for customers to try them on? Especially since the store explicitly caters to the queer community, they should really understand how important it is for trans people to be able to try things on since a lot of clothes don't fit right on trans bodies. The store is otherwise great and if I'd been able to buy any of the clothes that were available this would have been a 5 star review, but the lack of fitting rooms completely ruins the entire shopping experience.

This place used to have good deals. Now the prices are outrageous and every time I go there the prices seem to have gone up since last time. I went over today and saw a pleather purse priced at 110 dollars. I had to do a double take because are you kidding me? No one is going to be paying that. People go here to get bargains because they can’t afford to purchase new and yall are getting greedy and pricing items as if they are new when yall got them for free. I will not be returning for a while.

DO NOT BRING KIDS OR ANYONE HERE!

Let me start off by saying that my recent visit to this thrift store was an absolute disaster. As a customer seeking a normal thrift store experience, I was utterly appalled by the theme that consumed EVERY SINGLE INCH  of this place. It felt like walking into a bad acid trip gone wrong, with no escape from the overwhelming assault on my senses.

First off, the store's theme was obnoxiously in your face. Every corner I turned, there were garish decorations, loud music blaring, and employees dressed like they were characters in a low-budget B-movie. I get it, some thrift stores have their own unique vibe, but this was way over the top. It was as if they were trying to force-feed me their eccentricity, leaving me longing for a simpler, more traditional thrift experience.

But the worst part, and I cannot stress this enough, was the horrifying and utterly inappropriate content that was on full display. Right there, for anyone to see, including innocent children who happened to be in the store, were pornographic and adult materials, scattered throughout the shelves without any discretion. I was appalled, disgusted, and frankly, disturbed. Thrift shopping is supposed to be a family-friendly activity, not a twisted peep show.

What kind of thrift store thinks it's acceptable to subject unsuspecting customers to such explicit content? It's beyond comprehension. I understand that people donate a wide variety of items, but it is the store's responsibility to curate and filter what they put out for sale. This complete lack of oversight and disregard for the well-being of their customers is unforgivable.I left the store feeling violated, with an uneasy feeling that stuck with me for the rest of the day. It's one thing to have a themed thrift store, but it's an entirely different story when that theme involves sexual and explicit material. I strongly urge parents and anyone with a sense of decency to steer clear of this establishment.

In conclusion, my visit to this thrift store was a nightmare I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy. The overwhelming and relentless theme, coupled with the open display of pornographic and adult content, made for an experience that left me feeling violated and disgusted. If you value your sanity and want a normal thrift store experience, I implore you to find another place to shop. Trust me; it's not worth the psychological trauma.
