Best resale spot in Western PA by far!!! The men's section is always incredibly well-curated. You can get anything from unique vintage pieces to high-end trendy designer pieces all at an incredibly fair price. The vibe is also off the charts. Super wonky and fun. AND.... there's now a super cool resale record shop in the back room with all types of great finds at good prices, if you like vinyl.

Plus, Josh, the owner, is a super awesome dude who's very personable and really cares about what he's doing for the community. He loves fashion and pop culture and he's an awesome dude to have a good conversation with. Love this place!!!

I never leave reviews but I want to show this place some love.
Came in today to sell some clothes and wasn't really expecting much in return. The place was pretty busy when I got there so I decided to take a look around. After a few minutes in there I could see why it was so busy--the prices are super fair, lower than you would find at other secondhand stores, and there is a great selection.

I think the guy who helped me out was the owner. He was nice, super chill, and gave me more than I thought I was gonna get for the items I brought in. Already recommended it to a few people.  Definitely gonna come back here to sell/thrift from now on!

This place is awesome. They buy and sell clothes so it's not just a thrift store. I always find something cool here for generally very reasonable prices. For instance I found a black jean jacket from the Gap, nearly brand new, for like 25 bucks.

This place is AMAZING. I am so obsessed! They have some great finds, and things are priced very reasonably. I found a super cute, normally pretty expensive dress that I could actually afford. Will definitely be back!

I found most clothes looked as new, they have high quality brands, some cool pieces, many good sneakers, cool buttons too. Worth a thorough look.

Exceptional second-hand clothing shop. The workers clearly select clean, quality clothing and know what to look for. Other second-hand shops like Buffalo Exchange have wound up as places to buy used fast fashion. And the only thing worse than fast fashion is used fast fashion.

Clothes Minded is such a refreshing shop for this reason. Also, the staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. The shoe selection for men and women is also fantastic. I can't recommend it enough.

The team here are super thorough and can spot a great piece from a mile away. They have a highly curated and thoughtful collection of items for shoppers and as mentioned above… I love bringing my clothes here for a fair price and quick process.

My go-to stop for shopping, hands-down. I love the concept of sustainable shopping, but still shopping the best looks. I've never been one for thrift stores but this is 100% like shopping at a regular retail spot. I love how offerings are always in-season and in-fashion. Whether I am looking for every-day, career-wear, or cocktail nights, I can always find what I need here. Shoes, bags, earrings, and other accessories are also sold here. There is street parking available to this store which includes accessible parking. Entrance is on the first level. There's no public restroom. Masks are required, hand sanitizer is readily available. The staff is extremely helpful.

Clothes Minded has been one of my favorites since waaay back in the day when they first opened & I would walk by on my way to work (or on my way home more accurately).

We briefly moved closer to the East Side of PGH but now that we are back in the area I've wanted to start going there more but alas, le pandemic.

Very quirky atmosphere. Check out the attached picture and you'll see what I mean. Also pretty reasonably priced as far as consignment shops go, and they have a good selection.

My entire wardrobe has evolved and revolved through this particular store. There’s something for everybody and always tasty designer goods at amazing prices. Go ahead and splurge upon them, or regretfully lust after them forever. Everything in the store will be gone in the blink of an eye. The owner, Josh, knows exactly which pair of shades, for which not buying, I will incessantly repent. 🖤

There is a lot of vintage here.  In one place.  And, really unique vintage. Score!! Besides awesome vintage, there are tons of other trendy and/or designer items on the racks. I found a Free People skirt with the original $148 tag on it (obviously unworn) for $8.  Not to mention a few choice vintage finds. I saw soooo much good merch that wasn't for me, but that someone else will love.

I have a hard time believing that there is anyone who loves good fashion and appreciates re-sale that wouldn't adore this store!

Another option than Plato’s Closet to trade in, sell items. They don’t give much in return, but better than nothing and they do need to turn a profit I suppose. Taking a look around, saw some neat stuff.  Worth visiting.

I love clothes minded, they've always been really friendly and have given me fair prices for my clothing. I don't just sell to them though, I usually trade in some of my clothes I bought that maybe just were a bit not me and then find something there that is totally me.

Not just a great pun, Clothes Minded is a standout in its complete focus on quality. Top brands, often basically new, as well as unique jewelry and accessories. Great atmosphere and staff. Check it out.

They actually provide a really great public service. Affordable second hand clothes that aren't garbage quality is something that's sorely missed in this area, especially for men. They also pay a fair rate for clothes brought in, which really helps, too.

The biggest problem is that they are often picked over by eBay vultures looking for a quick profit. More power to them, but it hurts the community so I wanted to call them out. The store likely benefits from their existence, but I'd be curious if more community focus could bolster the store and their brand.

Walk into this store and try to get lucky. It pays off big when you do. I got these Nike SBs for $15!

So happy I finally made the trip here. It is a pretty small store but they had SO many great pieces. They sell some nice name brand items for $10-20. Everything is very reasonable and I look forward to coming back!

Great thrift store.  One of my favorites! Always has really trendy clothes and a great selection. I got my favorite shorts here that I wore all the time this summer !

Go here often, staff is friendly and I almost always leave with something, the prices are very reasonable. I did not feel the offers I received for some clothing I brought in were very fair and did not ultametely sell my things to them but will continue to shop here as it's my favorite thrift shop in the city.

If you NEED to find something cool to wear to a party or evening outing I would recommend you stop in and check out this place. The inventory is well curated and the pricing is more than fair considering that you are saving so much time not having to pick through bulk. Style genre representation is fairly diverse -geeky hipsters, punk both glam and gutter, fresh princes, 80's kids, broke ass fashionistas, John Waters wannabes, it's worth a look and you'll find SOMETHING on point and under budget in no time.

Just stopped in a little bit ago today and this was my experience: Super nice and helpful... totally reasonable when selling,  which is very important.   Walked in and out within five minutes,  no long wait like at some other places.   Very happy

Best thrift shop in Pittsburgh!  Really well-catered selection, vintage and new.  Good prices.  What I like most is the friendly staff - much more down to earth than Avalon in Squirrel Hill

It's an awesome store. I have sold them many things they pay top dollar. They are very pleasant to talk to. The store is unique.

Really lovely and diverse selection! Killer authentic vintage finds as well as newer styles. I've sold clothes here quite often and the offers are always very fair.

Limited options which goes to show you that they really currate this place carefully! If you're looking for something unique head on here. If you are looking for staple simple pieces, maybe not so much (but you never know!)

Neat little local shop. Definitely better alternative to shopping at goodwill or something. Decent selection for how small the shop is. Definitely a walk and find something special vs. looking for a specific item kinda place.

Pretty cool little store. Organized and clean and staff was friendly not over bearing like some stores. Prices were based on brands and quality, and reasonable. Overall I had a fun visit and came out with a very cute jacket that was half priced and only $11.

Probably my favorite thrift in the city. The reason I gave three stars is due to the rude staff. Specifically the miss with the short black hair: I have shopped here multiple times and never had a pleasant experience with her. She always has attitude, a comment, or a smirky remark. The first rule to customer service, bite your tongue on a bad day. If it weren’t for the thrifts you wouldn’t find me within a 100 feet of her negativity. Great place, but customer service is essentially non-existent.

This place is a great alternative fashion shop. Everything is secondhand which is great but they cater to smaller sizes and the prices are pretty high. Ive only successfully have been able to purchase sunglasses here since ive never been able to find anything in my size. If they expand the size range and lower the prices i would love to go here again to shop.

They mostly just had overpriced junk. Unless there was a specific brand or person/group on a shirt or a specific kind/size shoe then it means nothing. I do however appreciate it being a small business as big retail stores really beat down small businesses. It just isn't one's typical "thrift store".

We tell everyone with expensive sneakers to take them to the sneaker shops because we’re not a sneaker shop and don’t pay high for expensive sneakers. It’s now become a niche market with multiple stores buying and selling all the hype brands. You’ve left reviews for other sneaker shops so not sure why you wouldn’t sell to them? As none of us here can recall seeing a pair of those over the counter for a very long time not sure this even happened. 

Went here to sell a pair of Balenciaga 3XL worn outs Deadstock and got offered $100 cash or $200 store credit for them when they were $1,250 retail and were reselling at the time at $1,535 for the size I had. Easily passed on the offer and walked out. Don’t sell to them they’ll low ball you act completely uninterested and treat you like you’re an idiot for not taking the deal. The people who sell to this business are the only reason they have a business and should at least be treated with the respect of getting 70% market value. Very disheartening to see for a local small business.

Clothes looked too dated, clearly trying to curate towards a "certain" sense of style. Don't bother selling if you have normal, trendy clothes

I had gone to this store a few times to browse some of their clothes and I did end up buying a few items. I also came in at some point later on to try and sell some of my own clothes as well. Along with another former customer on this review board, I also heard them making fun of my clothes that I was trying to sell as I browsed the store to pass the time. They thought I couldn’t hear what they were saying, and it’s pretty ridiculous to have such attitude and lack of respect. They did end up buying only one dress of mine, but I don’t really care to come here again. It’s really not worth after that experience.

The store itself is completely fine. It’s a quirky little thrift shop that carries some unique items. I went here some months ago with a basket of items that I was looking to sell. The two employees working the counter had a very cold attitude and it came off as if I was bothering them with my presence. During their evaluation of my stuff, I browsed the store and could overhear them laughing and making snide comments about my clothes. They ended up buying a couple items, but it was a very disheartening experience. I can brush off their initial attitude as someone who has worked in customer service, sometimes you just have bad days. However, to make fun of my clothes is unprofessional, unnecessary, and just mean. It’s unfortunate because this place is right on the same street where my boyfriend lives, and I would have otherwise visited it often had it not been for those two employees.

Came all the way from Columbus Ohio because it says on the website that it was up 4.5 Stars consignment shop but unfortunately we got there and it was a little hole in the wall the customer service was still great so I have nothing negative to say about the people

It's a nice idea but they don't carry what they consider "plus size". You can't even trade your "plus size" clothes. The largest size there was about women's 14. Also only sell smaller shoes. Won't be visiting again.

Don’t sell to them. They gave us $5 for vintage items and claimed they were going to sell them for less than they actually were. They didn’t show us what they were taking or give us a price breakdown. It wasn’t until later that we realized they had taken a lot of good items for absurdly cheap and placed them under others so we couldn’t see. We only made $5 on a jacket that sells for around $80. If you try to sell here definitely check every item they take and what they will give you for it.

The owner or guy working at the time was so weird. He didn't even greet me when I came in, he just said to set my clothes on the floor. They seem sketchy when going through your clothes because they do it while you're looking around so you don't know what's happening. They only buy in season, but the store looks a mess anyway and really don't have any good finds. Low-quality stuff. I would avoid them, and maybe go to Avalon or Buffalo Exchange that's more official.

Seems like they pick & choose when to buy things based on their sales of the day lol. The guy seemed VERY happy to turn my item down. Extra weird vibes.

Don’t give them your clothes…. I sold my new lululemon sports bra there they said they can sell it for 24 and offer me $10 credit or $7 cash…
Both staff makes your feel uncomfortable….
