I've been coming here for years. There's a good selection of remodeling stuff like paint, tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures and supplies, used (and sometimes new) appliances, lighting, cabinets, and furniture. There's usually some tools, but it's hit or miss. The staff is kind and very helpful. Open 10-4, Tuesday to Saturday.

Prefer HH of Beaufort Restore. Pricing is mor realistic at HH. Beaufort has become an expensive thrift shop.

One of the better thrift stores in the area. Worth visiting!

This place has literally every furniture item in every style you’d ever want, from beds to coffee tables, even mattresses.  They have a great housewares section with candle holders, plates, cups and linens, a hard and softcover book section that is pretty robust, and even lighting fixtures and home diy things that other places just don’t carry. Their stuff is very unique and they have nice staff.

They need donations of Christmas items.  Make,a trip there every week to see new items

The Restore is always our favorite place to go really at any time. Inventory changes constantly, there's always some treasure to be found. The quality is so much better than a Goodwill but at decent prices! Ya'll today we saw a BUNCH of VHS tapes! Appliances, furniture, dishes, lighting even a whole room of Christmas decorations! Inventory based on donations so we also take our things here  to donate. Good cause and a great time go check it out!

The furniture prices are incredible. Every worker I met was a delight. I will definitely be going here for all my home shopping!

Interesting selection of couches. Go thinking of couch covers or reupholstery. Palmetto upholstery in Hilton Head is excellent. They also had some nice cabinets, chairs and glassware. Service was excellent and very friendly.

Seemed to be a decent place. Prices were great on some items and others were way to high to have been used and the condition.

This place was amazing, had way more things than I thought they would carry, to include wall decor, patio furniture, rugs, books and home furniture.

I've been to several Habitat stores. This one had a pretty nice selection of used furniture when i was there.

Big store, but the selection is minimal. It use to be a good place to find anything. Last time I went there wasn't a big selection.

I was prepared to negotiate with them for a couple of riped up bar stools but they would not go down on price but i did get some other nice stuff... Overall the place is ok.

Friendly and somewhat picked over. You need to visit regularly for new arrivals.

Once loved this place, due to their friendliness, warmth, items on display for sale and reasonable pricing - now, not so much.  They put HIGH pricing on couches ($275+), that often sit stagnant on the floor, compared to GoodWill where you can buy a Leather Ethan Allen couch, in good condition for $40.00. A rug runner NEW, 24x72 is $29; USED at Habitat is $28.00.
An organization stating that it, "Seeks to put God's Love into action" - might consider making 'affordability' as an action priority; especially in our current economic times.

My mother and I go to this store every Thursday. We love the volunteers and inventory. Today I was completely humiliated by the store manager, Jonathan, who I’ve seen many times. I purchased a large piece of furniture. My husband and one of the volunteers put it in the truck. A piece of wood chipped on my husband’s side. I decided to walk inside to see if anything could be done. Doesn’t hurt to ask! The manager comes in from behind and yells at me so the whole store could hear “you’re not getting your money back if that’s what you’re asking!” “Who broke it? Not one of my guys!” “You’re buying used furniture you know!”  I asked him to stop yelling at me and I told him I’m not arguing about anything   I simply wanted to know the policy/procedure when something breaks literally right out side of your doors. I never came in demanding anything. I wasn’t expecting a refund, maybe a suggestion on how to fix it at the very least. Again, it never hurts to ask! I’ve never been spoken to like that ever. I was so shocked that an older man would come in so aggressive and immediately yell at a young woman. Maybe he had a bad day, but I’m actually scared to go back. Young ladies beware!!

I'm from out of town and currently house sitting for my sister and she always speaks so highly of this place. I went in earlier this morning to browse and was extremely excited about the pricing. It's about 3x cheaper than the HFH in Charleston.

I found a piece similar to what I was looking but it would need a lot of work in the refurbishing department. It was significantly scratched on the lid and back with what looked like possible water damage on the outside but overall in workable condition. Probably $100 or so to fix it up. I decided to browse the other charity and vintage shops in the area and see if it was still there later.

Came back a few hours later and the piece was still there.  Had an older female employee strike up a conversation with me about the trunk I was intending on buying and being from out of town. Was all going very well and was about to ask if I could purchase it when she asked what I would be using it for. Since I had said I was somewhat concerned about the interior size.

So I told her I had wanted to refurbish it as a hidden litter box enclosure for my rabbits. Who are free roam in my house. I thought with some work it would make a nice furniture piece and could be used to disguise their litter box. She got very aggravated saying how dare I destroy a lovely piece of furniture for rabbits and the stormed off. Needless to say, I walked out. I'll pay the $200 price tag in Charleston instead of the $50 price here if it means I get to deal with decent employees.

I will start by saying that this place (when it first opened) was AMAZING!! A huge variety of stuff with great affordable pricing, true to the nature of the store.
I do not know WHAT has happened lately but wow!! Do not expect to find a good deal here anymore. You might as well go to a new furniture store, because you'll be paying the same price for furniture but the items at habitat are used, damaged or even broken.

I write this review in hopes to shed some light to those behind the changes. Your customers are not the wealthy with an abundance of money. Your customers are those on a limited budget, looking for a deal. Instead of ripping of your community by charging ridiculously high prices (for example a wooden headboard and footboard -fulll size-was quoted to me at $250!! A plain ol bed) for inventory donated to the company,  try to support the locals by being fairly priced.
In the end you may be contributing to the very cause you're supposed to support.
