Great experience , half clothing half home goods.. prices are good. There’s obviously a few things that are priced higher. Great place!

I thought it was a little overpriced when I first got there and started looking around only to find they had dated discount on every tag. Great selection I definitely walked out with some good finds.

This store always has a great selection of treasures. It is a little expensive, but it's a really cool place to visit. The staff is very friendly.

This is my first time in and I had a great experience. I interacted with two staff members and they were nice. I was impressed by the variety and selection of items they have. I enjoyed the fact it’s so spacious in there and everything is well organized (and clean, good quality). Also nice to see prices on everything. At first I was questioning if the prices were too much for me, but most of the items I found were already marked down by the date. I thought that was cool. They had an assortment of vintage items but also new and popular brands. The items I purchased were too cute to pass up. A lot of unique items. The one article of clothing I tried on didn’t fit but the woman who helped me with the dressing room was very kind and cheering me on lol. The cashier was very kind as well. I loved her style and she was very nice to me. I’d recommend this place as my experience was great.

I love this store. Besides getting great quality merchandise for next to nothing and helping the environment, you'll be helping local charities. This store supports its community. Fabulous all around.

My sister and I had a great time. We bought a little of everything from home decor to dresses and cookware. We enjoyed chatting with the two ladies working there and are going back again today because they closed before we could finish.

Great prices!!! Good designer selection at low prices! Very funky clothes and we (28 & 61) both had a blast shopping for hours. A ton of shoes! They also have a petite selection.

The best place in town for true vintage clothing and furniture. It is well curated and they have a bit of everything, from designer shoes and clothes to handmade furniture to sneakerhead shoes and so much more. So much beautiful jewelry and other collectible items. They’ve also got soda for sale if you get thirsty! A gem of a store, always worth a visit.

If you can’t wear a mask in a private business when you have NO IDEA what medical conditions some of the staff have…you are the problem!  It is amazing to me that people can call themselves locals and then try and tank a long term local business with negative reviews over a completely reasonable policy during a pandemic.  Shame on all of you.

My first time here and I really liked it! Everything was spaced nicely, easy to move around and shop, clean. The employees were friendly and helpful. I was happy to purchase something and will be back!

Look for ones with lowered prices on the date tags.

Went here for the first time yesterday and was a bit worried based on the reviews about customer service. All I can say is the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had to ask the price for an item in the case at checkout and the clerk was more than happy to walk back with us and help us out. They have a nice assortment of items (furniture, art, clothing, jewelry etc), we found some cool vintage books an original signed Salvador Dali etching hidden in a stack of cheap frames. We plan to return!

This is a treasure trove. The staff is friendly and​ helpful. They don't interfere with you, it's definitely not like a lot of stores that try to get you to buy something NOW? Yet they are in the background to assist if required. The items are reasonably priced and new items keep turning up. I really like the store and staff, that's why I keep going back!!!

It's good to see a little better quality of clothes but not so expensive that you may
as well not go there.
Also, don't disregard the price tag.  Learn how to read them.  The price is always
correct if you take the time reading them.

I am new to the area and I have already been here twice. I didn't notice any funny smell either time that I went.
I appreciate the fact that the employees seem to keep pretty busy and don't bother me while I browse and they don't follow me around the store. I can find someone quickly if needed.
They have nice, clean merchandise and they have couture and casual clothing, purses, and shoes. They don't take electronics, baby clothes, or toys. That seems to help them focus on the clothes and furniture.
When I left the store I realized that I spent about half of what I thought I was going to on some cute, name brand clothing. If they aren't sold after a certain amount of time they are reduced! what a nice surprise! One dress was 100% silk which I love!
I can't wait to go back and find some goodies! Consigning things with them is easy as cake.

Not a bad discovery! Besides the odd rules and odd ways of communicating them, example they only take up to 20 items of clothing at time 2 time s a week

Wednesdays: 1PM-5PM
Fridays: 11AM-3PM.

And there is a $10 one time no refundable service fee

I left some clothes over there for about 3 months and got a check for $60 to my nice surprise it took a while but the lady owner is cool and there is a "method to the madness" and her associates are cool too give it a try if you have the Patience and the items there looking for fyi

I've shopped here at least a dozen times and never experienced bad customer service. I'm honestly surprised to read all the negative reviews.  I haven't interacted with the owner at all, but the cashiers have never been a problem. Maybe I've been lucky? I enjoy browsing and usually find at least one thing I want. Decent mix of lower and higher priced stuff and not junky. Vintage and modern.

I am a regular shopper at CC, not a dealer. From my perspective, I usually find something unique, at a good price at least once a week. Sure there are many times when I leave empty-handed, but that is a reflection of the merchandise, not the personnel. I have always found the cashiers and clerks helpful and attentive, and the goods are displayed in an orderly and    accessible way. I continue to recommend CC to my friends for a fun time!

This is a really nice store full of great merchandise.  I can't say  I wasn't warned by the other reviews about the staff. They are not friendly or helpful. I felt like I was bothering the cashier when she had to cash me out. REALLY??? It's your job. I would think by now management would see all the negative reviews and try to do something about it. It hurts your business.

I found the cashier to be rude and arrogant. I also noticed her ordering one of the workers around like she was above it all.  I wish I caught her name,  tall women with brown hair, cut in a cute bob.

Although I like this store, I sincerely feel that the level of customer service needs a lot of improvement.  The personalities of the cashiers needs extreme improvement.  I had to actually tell one of the cashiers that her disposition was very unkind.  She looked very surprised when I told her that and she tried to improve.  The issue is, I should not have to tell a cashier that she was unkind.  Any human being that is capable of operating a cash till knows when their disposition is rotten.  I guess they expect certain people to accept a rotten attitude.  It won't happen on my watch.  You will display kindness toward me or I will leave you alone indefinitely....How much profit can a business incur if there are no customers?

im 5'8 and could quite literally see over the door. the mirror is also opposite of the door so i could see the reflection standing outside the dressing room. i had to hang up the stuff i was truing on above the door to get the level of privacy im comfortable with. additionally, there is one of those wide angle mirrors on a column right at the entrance of the fitting rooms and you can very easily see into the dressing room, esp bc its at such a high angle. this feels almost intentional & is the main reason i probably will not be coming back

it is pricey which is disappointing. paid $16 for this grey ribbed cotton steve madden scarf & $6 for a mens button down that had a rip (originally priced at $10 but they were willing to take off a few)

If you don't care about getting anything for what you bring in they are fine but you are better off selling on marketplace. Very disorganized store.

This place is a serious disappointment. The lack of accountability and organization is upsetting. I bought a mini fridge from them with the promise of being able to return it within 24 hours if it didn’t work. When I went to return it the following morning (because it was broken), they claimed they will not do returns and put a refund into an account, but will not provide any information or confirmation about the return or proof that the funds have been deposited back. Overall it was the customer service that was disappointing. I know things happen and they can’t possible test every product, but honor what you say and at least be polite about offering a solution. They are just rude. I don’t recommend shopping here.

I’d rather stand outside in the pouring rain in 40 degrees with no jacket than go back to this store. It’s a complete scam. Do not bring your stuff here to sell. If your item sells, you have to come in on a day & time that the owner is there in order to get your money. I tried so many times and came on their suggested days/times but each time I came she just happened to be “out”. They said they could mail me a check… that did not happen. They know there are only so many times I’m going to keep coming back to the store begging them to give me my $75. If you guys are seeing this… still waiting LOL. The way she runs her business it’s absolutely wild. Most employees are extremely rude… but can’t blame them, I’d hate my life if I worked there too. Take it from me, save your time & avoid this place like the plague.

No one use these dressing rooms!!! After being topless trying on clothes I realized the entire store can see me on the mirrors they have facing inside of the dressing rooms!! Should be reported!

Employee acted like I was bothering her. Never spoke excelp to tell me total. I thanked her and was still ignored. Not worth dealing with again.

I am so absolutely disgusting by the way the owner of this store just treated me, in front of my 7 year old daughter nonetheless. I had a car full of large bins from my late aunts estate sale and was dropping them off for my cousin, when i walked inside to the counter- I VERY politely asked what the best way to get the bins inside would be as I’d never been there before and didn’t know their procedures. Out of nowhere- the owner chimes in (i was speaking to the register attendant) and screams at me to get in the back of the line if i need something. I responded by saying “you don’t have to be rude to me, i just didn’t know how it needed to be done.” She then becomes engraged out of nowhere and screams at me to get out of the store. All in front of my 7 year old. Then continues to shout at us as we’re quietly leaving the store “SHAME ON YOU FOR DOING THAT IN FRONT OF YOUR DAUGHTER!!!” We left shocked, embarrassed, uncomfortable, and very confused how any establish could function under the ownership of such a disgusting, vile human being. This woman shouldn’t be allowed near customers, nonetheless humans in general. After speaking to many other people that have been there, i realized i should have asked around before i went as this seems to be a common trend for her. Save yourself the trip to this filthy place and go to Re-tails! Much more pleasant there.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. The owner and staff are completely rude, hateful, aggressive, unprofessional, and nasty attitudes. Every single one of them need in depth customer service training or don’t need to be in retail at all.. especially reading all of the other reviews YIKES surprised this dumpster fire is still in business. Honestly seems like the owner wants/thrives for conflict. Wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.

Trust the reviews, the owner should not be dealing with the public, she is extremely rude and aggressive. My assistant went in there to pick up something for me and almost left in tears. So sad that people just can’t be nice!

I have never in my life been treated in such a way. The owner is absolutely vile. I made a google account just to write this review because that is how disgusting the behavior is at Consign Charleston. I asked a simple question and was told only the owner could help with that. She then emerged from the back saying “who am I helping” in a very brash and down right nasty way. I spoke up and explained that I wanted to fill out a tax free form for my resale business in a normal way (I’m a very bubbly person) to which she responded “pipe down” “we aren’t going to do this”  I replied saying I was confused and I was simply being myself and she became erratic and almost animalistic in her mannerisms and behavior. Truly a terror to witness in the least. She said she “knew what or who I was” which I said, I think I’m learning who you are and she said “leave my business” and then yelled at her cashiers “DO NOT TAKE HIS MONEY.”
What an absolute lunatic. I cannot believe this place is in business. BEWARE and shop anywhere but here.
Side note! I bought so much here over many years and recommended people consign here when they called our store thinking we could consign! Obviously that will never happen again!

Zero Stars! The owner is mentally unstable, and extremely aggressive. I watched her scream at a woman for simply asking a question about consigning an item…she wasn’t even talking to me but it made me so uncomfortable I left and will never go back!

DO NOT USE THIS STORE!  I was told to drop off any day during the week Mon-Fri from 11-5.  Got here and the store didn't open till 12 and there was a sign put front saying Not Accepting Consignments, so I went inside to talk to the owner, since had driven 45 mins, and told her the info I was given and asked if she could accept the decor items I had, but she accused me of lying saying no-one would have told me to wt and that I called another store-not the case.  These people are insane and do not know the meaning of the word empathy or customer service. Needless to say I am taking my gorgeous decor to another store! I hope this helps anyone who is considering using this place.

The owner is the rudest person I have ever met. I tried to ask a question about a rug I wanted to purchase and she screamed at me that the rug had a sold sign on it. I tried to explain to her that I’m not sure if we are talking about the same rug because this rug has a sales tag on it still and no sold sign. She lost her mind and told me to never question her and that she owns this place and it’s her house and no one will question something in there and to get out of her store or she would call the police on me and my 3 and 4 year old little girls. I’ve never seen anything like it for asking a question about an item I wanted to purchase. She needs serious help and I will never spend my money there again.

She screamed at her sales person for asking a question for my daughter and when my daughter tried to explain because she felt sorry for this salesperson she (the owner) lost her mind on her and screamed (not yell) that "THIS IS MY HOUSE AND YOU WILL NOT TELL ME WHAT TO DO" and she went on and on screaming and my grandchildren were scared to death and are still talking about it. I would not shop here ever again. She needs to get mental health help!

Owner is extremely rude. I had a question about a missing tag item and was told i was wrong. (i wasn't by the way). she wouldn't even listen to me describe the item. I was then accused of mansplaining. and "she as a woman shouldnt be subjected too an argument" I could see the fear in the rest of the staffs eyes. I was literally screamed at before leaving. I have spent plenty of money there and was attempting to spend more. Unfortunately i wont be returning.

Owner is incredibly rude. I bought an art hanging that fell apart when I took it out of my car at home. If I had thought about it for a day the piece would have fallen and broken on it’s own. I tried to get my money back since they sold me a broken item that had no warning that it was broken. They said it was worth twice of what I bought it for. I asked a friend who works in the art industry and she said it’s worth nothing. They also labeled it wrong by the wrong artist… They have no clue what they’re doing. They sell crumbling trash and are rude. I recommend researching every item before buying it, because they do t care about their customers.

And they all sold quickly. That’s because they were cool items and them selling had nothing to do with the staff or owners!
I was astonished at how I was treated today when I returned with a nice full sized floor mirror to offer them the opportunity to sell.
I was refused help to get it into the store…literally!
The owner has ZERO investment in the items in that store! Nothing in there belongs to her!
And the way she treats ppl that offer her things to sell is not a pleasant experience.

I have never been treated this way in my life. I inquired on the price of the rug and the owner was so rude to me I left the store in tears. I then went to Fine Rugs of Charleston and was offered excellent service and spent quite a bit of money as I’m a Decorator/Buyer in the film industry. One of my best friends who worked as a buyer as well and now a Producer in the industry had a similar awful experience. The unfortunate thing is I would have purchased the rug instantly, but the owner refused to help me or tell me the price of the piece so I went elsewhere. Ironically that same weekend she put a sale price on the rugs for 25% off. If I was the consigner I would have be furious to know a customer wanted to pay full price, but she drove them away. I have never set foot in there since and have continued to take my business elsewhere.

Worst Place Ever!! I am a person that RARELY leaves reviews. I generally overlook most peoples “idiosyncrasies” or give people the benefit of the doubt of having a bad day etc. However, the experience I had at this store was beyond the worst experience ever and warranted a review so as to protect other consumers. The management and staff were so incredibly rude and condescending that their is not enough time or space here to espouse the incendiary or vitriolic rhetoric used in the exchange over a purchase THEY KNEW  I MADE. I almost had to call the police to get the item I PURCHASED out of the store. I will NEVER step inside this store again. BUYERS BEWARE!!!!

I honestly don't know how they stay in business considering how poorly they treat their customers.   The owner must have a knack for finding the most unpleasant people around to hire as staff.  Or perhaps the owner treats them as poorly as they treat the customers and they are merely passing along the unpleasantness. After years of shopping here and dismissing rudeness  and a lack of customer service, today was the final straw. I will never spend another dollar in that store.  I  would rather spend more money elsewhere knowing that I'm not helping to  keep this miserable place in business.

I went to this store early in the day and spotted a guitar.  I didn't have my phone with me to take a picture. My husband collects vintage guitars and I know nothing about them.  I had an appointment at six that ended early and I was able to get back to the store at 6:34 pm only to be told that the store was closed even though the sign clearly said they were open until 7 pm.  I had researched the hours before I attempted to make it to the store before closing.  I drove quite a distance to get there (from Johns Island).  The store employee could not have cared less.  He very reluctantly, after begging, let me in to snap a quick picture.  On the way out I told him I would never be back and I won't.  I have consigned there before and that experience was not what I expected either.  Truly, I will never walk through the doors of their store for any reason.  I will not let rude people take my hard earned money.  Hmm, wonder why brick and mortar stores are disappearing?

So it appears that Consign Charleston and its employees make the reviews here (cute) because on every other review site they get horrible marks, with good reason. So here it goes! God if ONLY I could rate this s*** hole with less stars. Let me start this out by saying I work in retail management and I have never seen such a horrifying display of "customer service" in my entire career. My fiance and I were shopping here looking to furnish our recently purchased home. He was checking out an old storage trunk and went to open it to check out the condition of the inside when the unsecured glass top slid off and shattered, a surprise seeing that there was no "do not open" sign anywhere and the trunk itself wasn't locked. Being that we are good people and have shopped there before we agreed to pay to replace the glass top ($55) but not after one of the employees said that we would potentially have to pay full price for the item ($1200), yeah not going to happen especially considering that an accidental damage like this is covered under THEIR insurance and we legally didn't have to pay to replace the glass in the first place. Not only did no one bother to ask if we were okay after being stuck surrounded by broken glass, but they demanded that they get a copy of his licence and credit card information (which by the way is ILLEGAL). When the glass was ready from the shop (two blocks away from Consign Charleston) my fiance called to see if they would be able to pick it up since we live 45 minutes away and he was stuck working overtime. The woman of the phone promptly told him that "he could have been half way (to the shop) already if he'd stop complaining", and then threatened to charge his credit card if he didn't get it delivered that same day. I have since tried to get in contact with the manager twice since this has happened so we could rectify the issue, and both times I was told that she was not there and that I'd have to come back later (I had to pry information for a name and time when she'd be there). I'm very happy to have experienced this before we made any major buys from them, and I hope that they are very happy with the $55 glass top and not the  $9,600+ we've spent on furnishings at their competitor's shops since this incident.
