Dreary weather. Lots of Television. Then I saw your ad for $1.00 items and my eyes lit up . I forced myself to get dressed  just to come to your store. This was my first time. I have to say that this was such a fun time for me!!! I believe I checked every piece of clothing that you have there. The store is set up very nice. The employees are so friendly. Love uptown! The employees are always super nice! I have seen Bella the most and she is always so sweet! I have sold to them many times and they will always be my first stop to sell and buy! The store never smells like.. used clothing, the clothing never smells gross and is good quality! They do have a smaller plus size section so any plus size people out there that need to clean out your closets please sell here so I can get more cool clothing too!!

Terrific customer service. It was my first time selling clothes at UC and they made it super easy. Very clear introduction to their process, professional, friendly & expedient. My schedule didnt allow to shop their store, but I did observe that it is well organized and clean. There were a lot of customers in and out so they are obviously popular for good reason! Hidden gold! This thrift store gave me so much more than I was expecting across the board from the actual finds and prices go the environment and experience! I came in with a group of friends of vastly different ages and preferences and there was something for everyone. The staff was so nice and so helpful, and the dressing rooms were so upscale you'd think I was buying designer at full price! The whole store is so clean and organized, and there were so many fashionable finds - definitely not your standard tshirts and used jeans. My new favorite place!

With us being so close to Clemson's campus, we definitely cater to a younger demographic. With that being said, I see we were still able to take some of your items. I always advise people to utilize things like Clothes Mentor and Poshmark to sell items they aren't quite ready to see go, as you are able to reach a much larger demographic and you do not have to split the profit with anyone else. Our goal is to have a symbiotic relationship with our vendors, where we streamline the process of selling your items while simultaneously running our family-owned business. When you are planning to donate anyways, this is an awesome way to make some cash while you clean out your closet. I am so excited to hear our staff was friendly and the store was clean. We are very passionate about our organization and customer service, so this is always reassuring to hear. For selling clothes - its similar to Plato's in Anderson, they value cheaper, more juvenile clothing. They did not take some of my J.Crew, Banana Republic, and Madewell clothing with tags still attached, but took the older, used,  American Eagle and Urban Outfitter stuff. If you have more mature things to sell, try Clothes Mentor or Poshmark. Staff were really friendly and store was clean - its just geared toward a younger market.

While we are a resale store, we are not a donation resale store. We pay our sellers cash or store credit for all the items on the sales floor and reducing prices, reduces those cash/store credit payouts as one directly effects the other. We do price our items at 50-70% off of the retail prices and in order to keep our doors open, we pay our sellers a third of that price. Buying these items brand new is going to be 2-3 times as much as they are here. While pricing was disappointing for you, I hope our customer service made up for that. :0) Again, thank you for taking the time to leave feedback and I hope you have a great rest of your day!

The LEAST 'cheapskate' retail store I've ever been to. Crazy Expensive Uptown Clemson would be a more accurate description.

The half truths in this review lead me to believe you are upset about something that I’m sure we can find a solution to. I could have talked with you about these issues in July, the couple times you were in or even on your most recent Dec.  visit. Surely, we could have chatted about  the situation then but you did leave feedback that your visit was good so I can see why you didn’t need to hunt me down with your concerns. I do appreciate your feedback and I’m available anytime you’d like to talk.
This is again Renee Grams, the female store owner (you continue to call me sir), not the manager. I would like to address your updated concerns. I had hoped it would have ended with the "Walmart on Black Friday." I’ll start with your disappointment about the return for store credit policy, you had been in the store to shop/sell to us 15 times prior to the June event, and while this was your first return (3 of the 25 items you purchased), the policy is posted at the register, on every receipt and by the fitting rooms. I completely understand that you were beyond upset about the fitting rooms, no one was saying your daughter couldn’t go in with you, the communication breakdown occurred with the number of items you wanted to take in. Eight per fitting room regardless of how many go into the room, was to help with the line. For the sake of letting a busy day with some fixable moments be addressed, I personally apologize for how you felt about it all. And as you have not stepped back in the store since June, someone came in, in July, and sold 4 men’s tops to us under your name, so if that wasn’t you, I can certainly try to help you find the person selling under your name. Again, please call or come in and we can chat more about all of your concerns. Hope you have a great day! 



Went in for their “drop” the store was over crowded to the point we were sweating from the mosh pit we were going through to look at merchandise. Then when we get to the fitting rooms the attendant refused to let me take my child in with me which then scared my child to think she would be left alone with strangers surrounding her in an over crowded store. The attendant also told us only 5 items were allowed to go in at a time & the line was all the way to the front door. Not only was this embarrassing but it could have been better handled. Once we finally tried on our items & made our way to the register we were shoved into the check out desk by the crowd because a woman was fainting from the heat. My mother who’s a paramedic was quick to take action while store employees stood around not calling 911 or coming to the shoppers aid. I helped my mother carry the shopper to the side of the crowd where finally an employee said let’s take her to the back. Since I was unable to try on all my items against my better judgment I decided to buy them just to get out of that crowd. When I tried to return the items they wouldn’t give me my money back only store credit. I understand now why they call themselves cheapskate. The building would have been shut down had a fire marshall seen the crowd hoarding in there like it was Black Friday at Walmart. I personally haven’t stepped foot in this store since this happened. Then the manager trying to come on Google to save face & try to gaslight me in the comments & verbally attack me on a post on Facebook. The lack of professionalism & demeanor towards customers is why I never chose to “let me speak to your manager” I did however talk to multiple staff members that day that seemed to care less about the situation. Unsafe conditions for customers & lack of empathy I’d give less than a star if possible. 👇🏻👇🏼👇🏽

Hi Kaitlyn! I am sorry to hear you were disappointed with our selling process. After speaking with the associates who assisted you (as well as the Store Manager who was present) and watching the interaction via our cameras, I was able to discover two things.
1. Each of your bags were thoroughly dumped out, each item was checked for style and condition, and then they were put back into the bag. Once this was complete, they knew you were staying in the area, so they left them on the counter for you to grab once you were able to come back.2. It took us roughly 9 minutes to text you after you checked in. The 20-minute estimate was giving us 10 minutes to sort through your items and 10 minutes to buy them. Since we were unable to buy anything, we were able to finish it in a little less than 10 minutes. 
All this to say, we take a lot of pride in our customer service and our thorough buying process. To hear that this was not reflected during your experience is disappointing. If you ever suspect that your items have not been gone through, you are always more than welcome to ask or even ask for a manager who will be able to check the cameras and confirm that we go through all of the items brought in to be sold to us. I don't understand why I go in with two bags and get told they'll be looked at and it'll take 20 minutes. I go into Marshall's to wait. Then I get a text two minutes later saying that they unfortunately couldn't take any of my items. I go back and ask why only to get a "because they were out of fashion or must be worn" but as I look at the bag I could tell everything looked like it did when I brought it in. My bag was also in the same place she put it. I could tell they didn't look through a thing. It's upsetting I took time out of my day to come here through traffic and couldn't even have my items properly looked at.
