Patrick was an absolutely exemplary concierge for today's journey into the nerd realm. All of the items in the store are worth a look, but one section stood out above the rest. The handmade bags showcased are nothing short of incredible; the feel, the style, the quality, absolutely impeccable craftsmanship. I can't wait to be back!

Customer experience is awesome.  Patrick greeted us from the first time we entered the door.  He also explained how to easily search for products you are interested in from the computer and is knowledgeable about products in store.  Will definitely recommend purchasing from store or selling products you may be considering getting rid of.

The owner is friendly and knowledgeable! Have gone in a few times to get rid of some cards, and was actually offered incredibly reasonable trades in sealed product or other memorabilia I was interested in.

I’ve been there a few times and each time has been a treat. I’ve been able to find singles for MTG by looking it up on their computer system (easy process). The owner is nice, knowledgeable, and willing to help. Planning on going back again.

Went here to sell some card and I got a pretty nice deal on em. People there are very nice and appear to love their jobs. Highly recommend if you like card games or older video games

First time there last Friday. Great selection  of games role-playing  books and the owner is super  friendly. I brought my 10 uear old nephew  with and he was very friendly  and helpful. He is also a big pokémon  fan and he have him a free pack of cards. I will definitely  continue  to go back.

Update:  I continue to recommend Nrdvana.  Patrick has found a couple of my unusual requests (items I never thought he'd find) and he continues to get my stuff sold.  No matter if you are buying or selling or just looking to play a game, this is the place to go!

Just noting that the store has changed its name to Nerd Envy.  Still a great place with lots of unusual items for sale.   They've moved most of the inventory onto the computer to make it easier to search for items you are looking for, and you can always ask Patrick, if he doesn't have it he can usually find it!

Owner was super awesome and helpful! First store I've seen price things the way they do. The atmosphere is really chill. This is one the best place to buy/sell nerdy stuff.

Perfect hole in the wall/hidden gem.   Cashier was very friendly and had an answer for every question.  The first words spoken when I entered was the cashier asking me how my day was going and what I was interested in.   I immediately felt welcome and conversation/transaction was smooth and painless.
Not a very big store, but inside feels like being in someone's personal collection room.   They had something for everyone it looked like.
Definitely recommend, even though I'd rather keep it a secret so I have time to save and buy everything I want.

Family owned store with at market prices. Paying for things what they are currently valued at saves a bit of money. I got an Avatar Oppa plushy for $20 VS at a con for $60.
They carry card games, board games, videogames, Anime, clothes, toys, tons of collectibles. Definitely worth checking out their online shop.

This place was beyond exceptional. Went in for a Gift card and left with an unexpected personable experience and a gift I believe my nephew will love solely because the man working they're was able to pinpoint who my nephew was and what he liked with just his name and a brief description.  The service was outstanding and i highly recommend this place to anyone!

Very cool nerdy consignment shop! My son and I stoped by while traveling to visit family in Sioux Falls. He scored a couple of the more rare Skylanders Superchargers vehicles and Paper Mario N64 game. Prices are based on price charting, which is pretty nice - very transparent, and that’s appreciated. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff, highly recommend.

Pat, the owner, was a superb help and also had a fun sarcastic humor to him. He made me feel welcome and was very personable. He walked me through what I was looking for and hooked me up with what I wanted and then some! Highly recommend to anyone looking for an interesting new shop for cards, games, or whatever miscellaneous items you may be looking for!

One of the friendliest shops I have been to.  Patrick (owner) is constantly participating in community activities.  Offering raffle prizes, hosting community events has been really great here and very user friendly.  The consignment area is really fun to look through.  The actual play space has everything you need for tabletop games (snacks, drinks, table space, rooms) and lots of classic and modern video games and consoles for people to play.  Love going here!

What an awesome shop. Went to get a few packs and ultimately decided on a booster box. Got some great pulls. The owner is super knowledgeable and very friendly. Loved coming here.

Patrick was amazing, there was one additional group in the store when I stopped in and he was able to assist us both with no issue at the same time! He was knowledgeable about his products and even made sure to know that they had magic tournaments after discovering I enjoyed magic cards.  Also offered to teach me how to play one version I didn't know with his own decks. I'll be back to take him up on the offer.

Did a search online to find Pokémon cards and this shop popped up on the list. Wasn’t sure what to expect but thought I would check it out. Walked in and knew instantly I had found a home. Patrick made me feel at ease and comfortable while shopping and asking questions. He guided me to product that I didn’t know I wanted and was knowledgeable and kind without being the standard overbearing salesperson.

Most of the other shopping places in the area always make newcomers to the hobby feel out of place and don’t always help the newbies without being a bit condescending. Patrick was the opposite of that and was so welcoming even though I hadn’t purchased a Pokémon card since 2002.

Patrick was amazing and I walked away extremely happy. His customer service, kindness and welcoming nature are everything. Customer for as long as he and the company will have me.

This place is great!! They actually answer the phone and not a recording, they buy and sell all types of games/movies etc. for a fair price and are straight forward. No lowballing. The fact that they are open late (10AM-8PM) Mon-Sun is awesome. Thank you Nrdvana for a great experience.  Customer for life.

Although we didn't buy anything the guy working maybe the owner was awesome. He greeted us with excitement and explained the way they work. He even made recommendations on other place to shop and gave advice on which ones to go to and which ones not. The shop was a cute little shop with really cool gaming type memorabilia. We will stop in again next time we are in town.

This store was a refreshing experience to walk in to. It's so cool to see a husband and wife working together in a small business. Patrick was incredibly friendly and wanted to know how he could help me find what I was interested in.  While browsing the store there were 3 other groups that walked in and Patrick made sure to welcome them in, not once forgetting what he was trying to help me with. He even gave me a better alternative to what I was looking for. He was such a great guy to visit with and a ton of fun nerding out with. Great selection. I bought MTG singles and the experience of searching their catalog either online or in the store made the process so easy to find what I was looking for and to make sure I got the best market price.

Let's just start by saying I'm extremely impressed with multiple things about this place. They were simultaneously nerdy and professional at the same time, open and honest, helpful and many other positive qualities. This is CLEARLY ran by passionate people who support nerds and anyone with show interest in all things gaming, collecting, cards and other odds and ends. I'm super happy I was recommended to Nrdvana and will be going back within a few days. Did I mention this place does co-signing? This means if you want to sell something at a REASONABLE price, this is the place to go. Now I'm not 100% sure on the exact details concerning this and I don't want to spread info. The only negative I ran into is the fact my bank account can't support shopping here too much. Google needs to update reviews to include a sixth star for this store

Came here to sell a game. Owner and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They made the whole consignment process effortless and profitable. Overall the place had an upbeat vibe with fellow gamers enjoying their time there. Check them out and support a local business dream.

After going in a few times, i decided to participate in my first pre-release tournament for MTG midnight hunt. I let Pat know i had never gotten to do something like this so I needed a fast rundown on how everything would go. After giving me the rundown, he and the other people there playing helped answer any questions I had. As the only female player there and not having played MTG in YEARS it was a great experience, no one made me uncomfortable nor did i ever question my safety. I will be a returning costumer for sure! Every interaction i have had at Nrdvana has been wonderful. If you are looking for a game shop to play at, consider bringing your business to Nrdvana.

Really fun store with trading cards, comics, and video games and DVDs. The staff is very up-front about the store’s policies and pricing. I see other reviews complaining that nothing is price-marked but this is not an unusual practice! I have shopped at stores in Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois that also price their inventory based on recent sales from ebay, TCGplayer, Pricecharting, etc.
The value of collectibles like cards and games is always changing, so I think it’s fair for a local business to charge what they know an item is worth. Also, it’s fun to find out how much something is going for. I say you should pop into Nrdvana, look around, buy something, and have fun!

VISIT THIS PLACE 10/10 WORTH IT
My boyfriend and I JUST moved to Sioux Falls last week. My boyfriends birthday is tomorrow, so we went to Nrdvana to check out what's going on, maybe buy him a cheap gift that he will love. Low and Behold they have a second building that you can pay to hang out in and play games! HOW COOL! The employees (maybe owners not sure) we're so nice! The guy who helped us let us into the other building so we could get a little tour and understand what it's all about. The prices are so reasonable and this was such a great way to celebrate with my boyfriend. He will be getting a monthly membership for his birthday. Thank you so much to the man who helped us. You made our experience memorable and we will 100% be back.

First thing to know is this place is a consignment store.  If you are looking for new comics or supplies this may not be the spot for you.  But if you are looking for Magic the Gathering singles, or odd and unusual items this is the place for you!  Patrick, the owner, is very knowledgeable and is honest about his pricing structure both if you buy or sell.  I brought in a bunch of MTG cards (all commons), he went through and pulled out ones that had more value when he could've just bought in bulk and taken advantage.  That's the way to run a business!  They also have a game room, 5 dollars a day (fair price considering he has to pay rent, utilities, etc), where you can play magic, D&D and board games.  I haven't been to play yet (stuck my head in), but they seemed open to new players of all levels.  Oh and if you are looking for something special ask, Patrick may know someone who has it!  Worth a visit!

My son and I stopped by this shop on our way home tonight because the sign said they had Pokemon cards and we were not disappointed.  Very unique store and the owner was super friendly and very knowledgeable. Great prices and lots of wonderful things in the store.  We will definitely be back!

This place is a truly unique, one-of-a-kind (family friendly!) business. The staff is amazing and helpful and the selection is very wide and diverse. Being that consignment is a huge part of the store, it allows for a much safer environment in selling items you no longer need - and a safe place to buy new things you want. He even will typically have Pokémon cards in stock, which is a rarity these days as they seem to be scarce no matter where you go. (Thanks for making my youngest sons birthday one to remember this year. We had been looking for Pokémon cards all day and couldn’t find any until we came to your store!)

Pat (the owner) is a super friendly guy and a big nerd. His store operates a little differently than most, and it takes some getting used to. I brought in a collector's edition strategy guide to sell to him, but he didn't actually buy it. How it works is that he gives you space in his store to display your nerdy goods and when people come in looking to buy, he gets a fair price from the internet and prices it right there at the register at the time of sale. I was able to sell my strategy guide to someone else who appreciated it, I got some cash, and Pat got his cut for doing all the work for me. There's lots of vintage nerd stuff there as well as hand made pieces from local artists. Very cool concept. Very nice staff.

Patrick is an awesome person really knows his stuff helped me out with starting magic the gathering helped me build my first deck also. He engages with his customers when they first walk in and always makes sure to greet you with a friendly smile.

Lots of great items for the nerd in all of us! Really enjoyed opening the homemade Pokemon booster packs with the owner - some amazing cards just waiting to be found in there. Will be returning soon.

This place is so cool, there's something for everyone from vintage/old school nerd stuff to modern anime stuff. Staff was super chill and fun to talk to and being in the store felt like being in the dealers hall of a convention. Absolutely a great place to check if you're in need of a gift for a nerdy loved one or a treat for yourself. Great selection of pop funkos too for any collector looking for them.

Great atmosphere and the owner was great to hang out and play a few games with. Welcoming and will come back. By far the best MTG Commander game I have played in a long time.

I came into the shop, nice place and nice atmosphere. However, the service and products were faulty. The employees were nice and I was offered a price of a game I wanted to buy. He changed the price of the game to $20 higher than what he originally said, though it was a simple mistake it made me a little standoffish. I bought the game anyways, and went home to try to play it only to find out the DS cartridge didn’t work. I blew air into the cartridge and DS in case it was just dusty. I come to find there was gunk on the back of the cartridge that I had to carefully scrape off.  Overall not the best experience.

Prices weren't marked and kept changing all the way to the checkout. Overcharges and adds whatever he can.

I do assume that you have never actually been to my business in the last couple months we charge T tcg player mid for Sealed product and TCG low -5% for singles And price match either eBay or the funko app for most other things I hope you find this information useful and I hope you actually visit my business at some point

Advertises products at market prices, charges scalping prices even on things that had just come out. Also has made weird comments online.

Edit: Just saw the owner's reply. I have been to your store actually, thanks :). I had been there in the past for a new Pokemon TCG item which would cost MSRP, it just came out. However you looked up what scalping prices would cost and charged that. (a 200% markup from what the item would be MSRP). Please do not lie, thank you.

Not allowed to touch anything and personally I do not buy things when I cant actually look at them when it comes to collectables....interrupts u when u talk....prices are double to triple what TCG player is and he claims he goes by TCG....does not have correct knowledge on some items but won't accept any other opinion

i am sorry that we dont provide free extended art land for the taking. we do have a wide verity of products of differnt ages and collectible values we use tcg mid pricing for all of our tcg products. with a store minimum price for cards because of all the work that goes into selling singles. i hope you find this information helpfull. as for the $200 open box please have that person contact the store  because we have never recieved such  a report.

I only go here for magic. Sketchy things I've heard, but my experiences is bad. Booster packs are at all different prices, for almost no reason, and if I want land, I have to pay a buck a land of my choice. Were I can get free lands from other places.  Poor presentation of a shop. I've only heard of, 200 dollar magic buys resulting in a already opened box with items missing.    Won't go here again unless I have no other choice.

Customer service is poor. My boyfriend and I walked in wanting to sell Pokémon cards and was never even asked if we needed help with something. The woman at the counter was talking to someone about non work related things. We waited up there for 5 minutes at least with no one acknowledging mine and my boyfriends presence at all. We are reasonable and understanding people and just wanted to see what our cards were worth. We were impressed by your place until that happened. We left after the employee and other person had no intentions of acknowledging us at all. We wanted to support a small business and were ignored the entire time.

I do apologize for the miscommunication all of our non TCG items price based off of sold eBay listings only and all of our TCG items are based off of TCGplayer mid I do apologize if there is any miscommunication in this I always try to find the most reasonable price for both our consigners and our customers it does Sadden me that you did not have a wonderful time visiting my store I hope I can earn your business again with a better understanding how our pricing model works I do try my best to find a fair price for all

If you’re looking for reasonably priced items, don’t go here. I went here because I wanted to look around and support a local business, regretfully I didn’t have a good experience. Pat was a very nice person, but he was way too talkative. He wouldn’t let me browse the store without constantly needing to say something. Now if I wanted to talk with him that wouldn’t have been a different story, but I just wanted to look without constantly being asked about myself. I found a couple things that I thought were cool and I brought them up to the register, but there aren’t actual prices on the items. He goes onto eBay and bases how much the item costs off of that. I found that a little different, but I was willing to go with it. I then found a couple more things that I brought up to the counter but they were so overpriced that I wouldn’t buy them. I decided I was fine with the couple items that I’d found previously, and was ready to pay. But instead of the prices he originally told me, he had raised the price a couple of dollars. At this point I just wanted to go so I spent the money and left. A quick internet search once I got home proved my suspicion that things were overpriced. I found the things that I had bought for much cheaper elsewhere. I really wanted to like this place, but I just can’t recommend it to others.

We do thank you for pointing out the the newness of our system and how trying to be innovators in our field and we thank you for helping us grow and acknowledging that we do have things to work on especially when two very similar products appear and we always try to provide the best pricing for our customers.

I don’t like the way this place operates. The prices aren’t set in stone. They’re priced based on a quick eBay search and that has already led to issues. A close friend of mine went in with me and got an inaccurate pricing, which was then raised after corrected. The price given initially was nearly $20 less than the price we had to buy it for. When we got the product, a DS game, it was in bad quality and needed to be cleaned off to play. The system here is messy and the service is a little annoying. There was a kind woman employee that helped us. The guy that runs the store was trying to sell us things, almost annoyingly so. I got a bad vibe from the place as a whole and probably won’t support or visit soon.
