Generations Furniture Restoration Refinishing & Repair

Having to wait a bit to get in his queue told me this was the right place to refinish our heirloom pine table. Richard and I had several discussions about what I was hoping for with the project. The pine table was in dire need of some TLC and restoring it to its former glory. He took it apart and sanded off all the old finish, except the center section underneath the top, which I specifically asked him to leave as is, because it was the original color and I wanted it as a reminder from when my mom had originally bought it, back in the early '70s. Richard knocked it out of the park, and it only took him less than a week. It's perfect. Exactly what I had hoped for. Now it has a second life and a special place in our home. Could not be more impressed and satisfied with the final results.

My husband & I had our highchairs, we used as babies, refinished by Generations Refinishing. We plan to use them with our grandchildren. We are so pleased! We’ve have an oak silver chest that had the hinges and retaining arm damaged in 2018. The chest was a wedding gift to my husbands grandmother in1911. Richard took possession of it on Friday afternoon and he had it repaired and ready for pick up on Monday afternoon. He located better hinges but still retained the aesthetic of the antique originals. Richard’s restoration is extremely well done. I definitely recommend his talent, attention to detail and quick turn around on his projects to anyone needing restoration or repair.

I asked Richard to help me with a table my great uncle made in 1953. When Richard got it, the table smelled and was in terrible, terrible shape. The table I picked up from Richard is absolutely beautiful. Thank you, Richard...

Trust your antiques to Richard! He refinished our six Duncan Phyfe dining chairs and also hand-crafted a new splat to replace the one the movers broke.
