Very cool and unique place to check out in South Austin. You can tell there was alot of thought put in to this collection of antiques, oddities and taxidermy. Everything was fair priced. I highly recommend to locals and especially tourists. From the antique shop up front to the barbershop in the back it totally feels like Austin, TX in there.

I came for a haircut but didn't expect it to so cool and such a unique space so many wonderful trinkets and items. If your a collector or in the area it's worth a browse.

I am so disappointed. I live right down the road from this place, and have come here three separate times during the hours of operation that are posted on Google, and every time I've gone, it has been closed. I try my best to support local businesses and I LOVE oddity shops, but this place is making it impossible for me to support it, simply because it is never open! Let me give you my money!!!

Edit again: Lol I came here by myself, I don’t know who Danielle is? I left a review because google asked me to. A polite response would certainly have made me change my review, this place didn’t affect me enough to want to ruin your struggling business, but your response was very offputting. I’ll pray for you VISITORS BEWARE: this is not an antiques and oddities shop, it’s a barber shop lobby with some brand new merchandise to purchase. The owner responded and said this review was fake because she’s mad that people are being honest. Lol this goes to show exactly what kind of business this is. So anytime someone doesn’t like your fake shop you accuse them of leaving a fake review?? Visit at your own risk. Unlike the other reviewer, I wouldn’t even recommend the barber shop portion now seeing how the owner acts.
Update: considering you and your friend “Danielle” both left one star reviews within two minutes of each other and did not leave any comments, assuming a fake review was a fair assumption. Now, with that said, I clearly remember the two of you visiting and looking around the shop. And I must truly apologize. It must have been an awful experience searching and searching for an “antiques” shop (although it clearly states everywhere that we are located in the front of the barbershop) only to finally find us. What a disappointment it must have been to not find the Walmart superstore of antiques, just a lowly small business in a mere 500 sq feet of space. I’m also sorry that our selection of taxidermy, art and antiques did not fulfill your shopping fantasies. I will have trouble sleeping tonight knowing that we caused such hardship in your all too busy life- it must be exhausting leaving negative reviews all day and trying to destroy the already demolished world of small business. I hope you can forgive us for inconveniencing you with our existence. Perhaps your review will be the final nail in our coffin and someone will open a 7-11 in our place, I’m sure that would be a truly satisfying experience for you and “Danielle”.

In response to the owners comment: Yes I went here today. I should’ve read the previous review because upon first glance, the 5 star rating was very misleading. I drove up and down the street looking for this highly rated oddities shop before finally reading the review to find that it’s INSIDE the barber shop. So here’s your context: Calling this an “antiques and oddities shop” is extremely misleading. It’s two shelves and a table at the front of a barbershop. I saw two things that could be considered antiques. The rest was modern art and books and really just looked like a glorified waiting room. If you’re looking for a barber, they seemed very chill. But if you’re looking for antiques and oddities, skip this place.
I’m curious as to why you rated us one star? I suspect you have never been inside our shop.
