I love visiting here. They always seem to have a good atmosphere. Plus their movies, books, ect are pretty inexpensive. This is where I get my movies from because of the low prices.

Great prices and the employees are always more than willing to help out with suggestions on books or finding what you need throughout the store! They have not only different kinds of books but instruments, records, dvds, games of all sorts, and toys. Only downfall is the temperature is warmer inside the store than I personally prefer.

2nd & Charles is one of our go-to spots whenever we’re in Beaumont! They have a fantastic selection of manga, books, board games, vinyl records, and collectibles. You can sometimes find items at lower prices than online, which is a nice bonus. One thing to remember—bring your reusable bag, as they don’t provide bags, though they do sell reusable ones. Overall, it’s a great place to browse and find some unique items!

Cool store! It reminded me of another store I used to go to in college. Everyone was nice and everything was organized and clearly marked.

A well stocked book store with a wide variety of additional items. I was looking for Funko collectible figures & they had a good variety, however, prices were about twice that of Barnes & Noble or Walmart.

Kinda in similarity to Books-a-Million or FYE. We enjoyed our visit and the staff were great. They have a wide selection of collectable (i.e. Disney, Harry Potter, Mario, Star Wars, etc.) and they have a huge selection of books for both adults and children, and even a section with puzzles and board games. Something for everyone in the family ❤️

I was just killing time when I went into 2nd & Charles my last visit, but as soon as I stepped in, I saw something I "needed"! Their variety always makes even a window shopping experience better. I particularly like the fact that they have something for everyone. Christmas is made a lot easier for our son [the gamer] my husband [Star Wars nerd] and our other son  and me [the creative/eclectic weirdos]
I certainly recommend a visit!

Fabulous wide selection of new and secondhand media, including all kinds of books, music, and movies/TV shows. Also plenty of related pop culture merch! Note: no plastic shopping sacks provided, so bring your own tote bag, or you can even purchase a cool new one here!

Every time I go there as soon as I walk in I get a very delicious musty smell in my face😋, they always have great literature like manga about an uncle and his niece doing cool naked activities. Overall very unique experience and would come back to look at the overpriced games that no one plays👍

Nice store. They have lots of used books, in mostly good condition, to peruse and at a good savings compared to new books. Some books are not in correct order by author but it makes a pleasant search. They also have other items for sale such as DVDs and record albums.

it's a cool place.  They have a large selection of vinyl records and comic books along with the normal fare for bookstores:  lots and lots of books.  They also have a variety of retro video games, board games, pop culture fan merchandise, musical instruments.  They seem to have a focus on buying and selling used products.  The store has a large open building that feels very comfortable.  It has two entrances/exits:  one to the parking lot and one to the mall.  Both have a checkout which is really nice.

Visit this store immediately! Well if you are or ever have been or will be, a complete bad@$$.

Awesome place for collectors and things.  The offer a wide selection of new and old stuff.  From funko pops to guitars, they have it all!

Stocking stuffers. Love the store; just don't like having to buy bags.

They buy back hard cover books games,etc  you want get a big return on your investment of books and games.

Great store but if you're trying to sell anything there just don't. They offered me 1/5 of the value of the items I was selling.

Fun store with lots to offer (music cds/records/books/posters; movies; gaming; books of all genres; comics; pop culture decor/miscellaneous).

Location: at the mall & there's access to the store outside & inside the mall. Located near earthbound.

Service: only interacted at check-out, otherwise didn't see many workers on the floor. Cashier was friendly, happily checked availability of items & was willing to hold a large item behind the counter while we shopped the mall.

Atmosphere: well lit and very large. Clean and they were working on repainting walls.

Cost: their clearance was half off the discount price which was amazing. Otherwise, a little pricey on new items. They do resell cds & books & etc so those are usually cheaper.

Overall, a fun store with plenty to look at. You can spend a couple hours alone at this store.

Nice big store. Bathrooms always need help. Staff is nice but you never see them on the floor ready to help customers. They have books, dvds, nice puzzle collection, gifts section with mugs and cups, fluffy pillows, and more.

Nice variety of nostalgic items, but prices are way to high for most items you can find online 1\8 the price and not damaged.

My family and I love it here. Wish they would take care of the Funko Pops better. I know customers toss them around, but the employees are just as rough. Great selection, great atmosphere. Employees are a little unfriendly, but overall not a bad place.

I’m really happy I found this comic book when I did! This location has a ton of movies and games. Books of course and board games. They have a large amount of Funko Pops priced accurately. Im sure I will be back soon.

Great selection of vinyls and books.  My little one loved all the madolorian and Harry Potter things they had.  The prices are pretty decent too.   I could look around for a few hours and still not see everything.

It's great for 2nd hand items like books, games, moves, and more. I hate that it's so unorganized which makes it hard to look for what I want to find.

Mmmm ... Lots of cute stuff, great clearance section. However, the store is pretty disorganized and customer service is extremely sparse. I inquired where to find a certain item, and I was told 'just look around'.

They are selling discolored book that are obviously old as new.  Customer service sucks.

Just another used bookstore. They also sell movies, music, video games, funko pops (lol), legos, stuffed animals, possibly some other stuff. Usually I don't care if shelves are disorganized, but this was SOOO BAD. The M's were all over the place, and there were authors with last names that started with OTHER letters in the M section as well. Not only that, but there were a not insignificant number of non-fantasy books in the fantasy section, plus fantasy books in the scifi section, and oh god you can't find anything! This is the most disorganized used bookstore I've ever been in! Not only that, but it's like they only buy the most disinteresting books and things. This was such a bizarre experience, cannot recommend.

I wouldn't recommend selling anything here. I brought in 6 large boxes of books, they told  me they couldn't take them because they had a mildew smell. Okay, I  understood that as they were in storage over a year while we transitioned to our new house. They told me if we were okay with just getting rid of them there was a donation drop off outside (I forget the charity they were supposed to go to). So we left them there. Fast forward a few weeks we are back to buy a few books and I found one of our donated books on the shelf with a price sticker on it.

I've never had a problem with this location. I normally love them! Today, I went in to try to trade in some books. When I got up yo the counter the guy working (you could tell just did not want to be there today) he asked me if I'd ever sold wirh them before. I told him I had not, I'm not sure how the process works at all. He put my info in the system, gave me a ticket and walked away. Without telling me anything. There were a few other employees behind the counter and I was trying to figure out what was going on. Nobody would tell me anything, or really even speak to me. I ended up finding another employe at the other end of the store, she was very helpful in letting me know how the process worked (I wish I would've got her name, she was probably the only good thing about this whole experience).
When i got the text saying that everything was ready, I went back to the counter, same guy was there. He told me I could get $9 in cash or $17 in store credit. (Now it pays to mention that I brought in ALOT of books. Some of them i know i could've got more for somewhere else, but like I said, I loved this store and wanted to do business with them) I started to text my husband to see if he'd want us to just see about getting the books back and we could go somewhere else. The man decided (on his own) that store credit was faster and easier, so that's what we were gonna do. I didn't even get words out of my mouth to say no thank you. He had already printed the slip and told me to just tell the cashier at check out that I had store credit.
I am very disappointed with the employees at 2nd and charles in Beaumont, TX. Very rude. Very unhelpful. I hate that this happened, because now I don't even want to shop here anymore. If I could give them ZERO STARS I would!!!
Im not sure what's going on with the employees here, but i do not see myself  coming back here anytime soon.

Worst pricing ever they buy 200$ games for 6 dollars then resell them for 600 what a bunch of scammers

Was very upset with the staff. We took over 100 books, at the suggestion of one of the managers, to bring them in right away. Most of them were 1st edition Stephen King books. When we got there for them to buy the books, they didn't look at each book to see if they were 1st edition or regular edition. Then they insult us by offering $26 for everything. When we asked for a manager to see if she might reconsider with the amount of 1st editions we had.  The woman Very Rudely told us, "I am the manager, so what you got to say now?" We told her to have the day she deserves and packed our books and left.  Worst experience there ever.

Seemed nice as they greeted us when we entered but refused to take down a guitar unless we were going to buy one. How would anyone know if they want to buy a guitar that is $200+ before trying it? 🤡  Needless to say we didn't buy anything.

bought a expensive collectible here.  due to the high price i asked if the price could just be the asking price, which would get them to come down $20 to essentially waive taxes.  i’ve been eyeing this item for nearly two months now.  the floor employee was extremely kind as said it shouldn’t be a problem but asked the manager.  when the manager came up she had an extremely rude attitude, smacking her gums and lips saying they couldn’t come down on the price because they just got the item in that day.  i corrected her and said it’s been there two months.  she glared and said “we ain’t comin down off the price” then walked away.

terrible attitude by a manager.  won’t be doing anything more than using them as a way into the mall and window shopping here going forward.
