I consigned several items through area 25 and had an amazing experience. The furniture was nice, but other stores were either declining to take them, or offering ridiculously less than the items were worth. Area 25 staff made it extremely easy. They also sold it for more than I was expecting, and did so extremely quickly! All in all I had a wonderful experience.

Love the things they sell. I bought an Onyx bowl. It’s a beautiful piece of art. Everyone was super helpful and friendly. They even helped take the bowl to my car. Will shop here again!

Amazing shop - the always changing in inventory and the revolving consigner items are just one of the many reasons this is a gem in the midst of the highland/university park.

Treat for the eyes. Very interesting items and I love how they put things together that I may not have thought of. Great selection!  I will shop here again.

this is a shop that offers more "traditional" modern furniture. All nice quality. The pieces and accessories as clean lined to be sure. some are market samples and others are consigned.  Prices can be a bit high.

You are so right - a group of 12-13 people ganged up to leave hateful reviews when a couple left a crying baby on the floor of our store without a carrier or any blanket while they began to shop around.  We asked them to pick up the crying baby and they went ballistic on us calling us racists!!! FYI -No one else was in the store!  Their friends left false reviews.

All of these people writing reviews that state they supposedly "witnessed" an event where the store employees ridiculed a woman due to a crying child?  Sorry, I don't believe them.  I think they're lying and trying to intimidate the store owner and employees.  And if there really was a child crying excessively, GOOD FOR THEM FOR TRYING TO make the store a peaceful, quiet place. I don't go shopping to hear screaming children.

Honestly, it’s really impossible to say what the quality is since after 4 attempts to visit store it’s always closed and changing their hours.   Today’s sign is they now are only open M-F 10-3pm. I wouldn’t want to consign my items here.

Area 25 has staffing issues during weekends at this time. 

We are so busy during the week and cannot seem to find or hire qualified employees for weekend hours.

It’s difficult to ever find them open for business. Apparently summer hours do not include weekends. They appear to have nice things from the windows…

This store has horrible communication over its hours.  I have frequently seen them listed as open on Google and on their website, only to trek over and find out they are closed.  You can't trust these representations.  Call before you go to avoid having them waste your time.

The furniture from this consignor was in very very poor condition.  The leaves to the table must have been dirty when wrapped. The items were returned to customer in same condition as received!  They claim their leaves melted?  Good furniture doesn’t melt !!!

Area 25 strives to sell higher quality items and these consignors were extremely upset when asked to pick up!

Do not consign with this seller, they do not take good care of your items! We attempted to consign a dining room table with Area 25. Upon retrieving the table after they cut short our contracted consignment period, we were horrified to find deep scratches on the table top and that the varnish was ruined on both of the leaves because they had been stored in a storage room with no air conditioning and had melted together. Our table will now need to be completely refinished.  I suspect they wanted to get rid of the table quickly because of how badly they had damaged it. When we confronted the store with the damage they told us that it would cost “more to fix the table than it is worth” and they refused to take any responsibility for destroying our table. If you are looking to consign, don’t risk it. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else!

July 20, 2022 response to Area 25's response: As Area 25 stated, they strive to sell higher quality items. Area 25 would not have accepted our furniture for consignment if it had been in poor condition. The table leaves were clean and in excellent condition when dropped off. As demonstrated in the pictures, the varnish on them had melted due to improper storage while in the care of Area 25. Area 25 refused to make repairs to the damage or pay for repairs.

Area 25 is having staff issues and we apologise for the inconvenience at this weird time.  We are happy to make appointments with anyone who needs to shop our store!

Store hours are ridiculous 10-5 during the week only.  How do you expect people that work to come and shop?  Good inventory of furniture; difficult to actually shop. I imagine there would be customer service issues if you had to follow up on a purchase or delivery since they keep bankers hours.

FALSE REVIEW….Area 25 opened 23 years ago and would be shut down or closed if operating so called Scams.

We are perplexed that you have a personal vendetta against us?obviously on a mission of hate and not a good person to continue to attack us.  The Bed, you reference, is sold online from five different manufacturers, so beware of who you order from because they are all obviously different copies of original bed- look closely at the nailhead trims.

It is a shame when a group of certain people get together and publicly lie, slander and sabotage with such  reviews.

The REAL, truly EDUCATED and LEGITIMATE  customers obviously know this is a False review.

Buyer beware of fraud brand labeling and inflated pricing - Area 25 list the bed as a Bernhardt brand when in fact it’s not. Just check out the pictures of the exact same bed. When I asked can I say the Bernhardt label on the furniture, they looked puzzled in a “I gotcha” moment. I posted a pic of Area 25 photo and pricing that they had the bed tagged. This bed is posted on several sites as Coaster Furniture if you know Bernhardt that bed didn’t have the heavy feel of a Bernhardt, but yet Area 25 seems to think customers are ignorant to know the difference. Please don’t shop where the owners lie about their products. Plus, they were constantly complaining in store that all “the help” quit and there’s no one to deliver the furniture. But if you heard how condescending they are to the delivery help, it’s no wonder the store is no longer opened on Saturday’s and the store opening schedule is not stable. They don’t treat their workers well. Paige stated she pays the workers really well as if they should not be treated with respect because of the higher pay.

I’ve shopped here before and won’t be shopping here again.

Be mindful of how you treat others! Uncouth and disrespectful behavior by the owner. To call a crying child an “it” and tell the family to leave.... Shame on you!

This didn’t happen to me but I witnessed A family getting told to get out the store and A worker told the woman to take that (referring to her infant son) out of their store! That was THE MOST DISGUSTING THING IVE EVER SEEN! From that I will never go there again, I caution anyone who goes here. I wish I could give them A 0

This past weekend, I cringed when I heard an employee was yelling at a family, because their young toddler was crying. “Shut IT up!” and “Get IT out of here!” were some of the disrespectful and appalling insults hurled by the rude, uncouth worker. With so many choices out there, guest services needs to improve immensely.

I rarely take the time to write reviews. I feel
compelled to after what I just witnessed at this store. I went here to do some shopping and as I was about to leave, I hear a woman yelling, “shut it up, and get it out of here”. I walked back in, and noticed she’s yelling at a family. This woman continued to yell and told them, they fit in better down the street. I was mortified, and repulsed by her behavior. While this business may not care, I won’t shop here again. It’s not okay to talk to people that way, let alone customers. DISGUSTED.
