This place is phenomenal! It's more of an oddities shop than a pawn shop. Seriously strange things live here.

Pretty cool place to pop in and wonder around. I couldn’t tell you about the prices or pawning process but it’s worth the visit if you’re a tourist and in the area. You might just find something that catches your eye.

Dave's is the most interesting  place, that i ever shopped in, you have to go to understand. I've shopped for special items all over the USA. Never have i ever shopped anywhere like this. The prices are fair, the employes knowledge is good and the items are WOW. You must see to believe!you cant find them, anywhere else in one place in this country for sale.

Awesome store! Has unique stuff. The best place I’ve seen in downtown El Paso. The staff is friendly and you lose time in there looking at everything there. I love this place and go every chance I get.

They have lots of electric guitar s here for cheap.  I took a pic of this place because there is historical significance to this place on the El Paso self guided map. One of the oldest store fronts still existing of Old El Paso.

Lots of amazing oddities, weird items, and antiques. Hard to shop because everything is behind the counter and separated by a bunch large items. Requires assistance to see almost anything so it makes exploring and trying to buy a HUGE pain.

Owner here. You didn't talk to me. David quoted you $500 on a 14k gold ring, and the negotiation ended after we rejected your $300 counter-offer.  We buy, sell, and trade merch everyday, and there are times when we can't make the deal.

If you are still interested in that ring I am willing to work with you on the price, but you have to understand that a deal has to be good for both of us.

One of the rudest encounters ive ever had. I was skeptical of the other negative reviews because ive actually been in this shop many times. I guess it was fortunate for me that the shop owner has never helped me with anything until recently because the most recent time i went in, i decided to ask for help and he was just down right insulting.

I went in with a friend yesterday and was treated extremely rude when I asked about the price of something. For a place with so much really unique and interesting curios don't be upset that some of your clientele will be of a different/alternative nature. We felt VERY unwelcome. I still ended up reluctantly purchasing something but will not ever be back or recommend to others.  It's best to find this kind of stuff online anyways.

Sorry, Paola. We don't accept returns without a receipt. Our staff attended to your boyfriend Cristian as he tested the camera before buying it. You both returned to our shop almost 2 weeks later demanding a refund for a broken camera. We graciously bought it back despite your lack of receipt. 

Our shop is not a big-box store like Walmart or Home Depot. When you abuse returns at a mom & pop shop, you hurt a local business. You hurt people in your community. Furthermore, trying to leverage online reviews to your advantage only diminishes reviews left by customers with legitimate reviews. Be better Paola.

I bought a camera that “worked” according to the person working there and the camera didn’t even turn on! I took it back later that week and they refused to give me a refund, they were rude although they had assured me that the camera worked. Zero people skills.

Our apologies for not sharing our restroom with you. Our shop is a 70+ year project tucked into a relatively small space over 140 years old. We cannot provide public restrooms.

If you like getting less for your goods this is the cheap spot.
If I were you I'd drive right by this place to any other shop...

Don't trust this store!!!!!

I was quoted an offer from this gentleman in the front. Few days later we came back , the owner jacked up the price by doubling it and refused to lower it. I'm just so disappointed with this store. I've been telling people not to trust this business and won't be coming back.

Experience has been nothing but terrible!!!! Item arrived and didn't work. I spent money to ship back within 7 days which is their policy for used items, item was received, requested a refund and it has still yet to be approved. I was constantly messing the seller and a day or two would go by before I would hear anything. Definitely not patronizing again. Then had the nerve to leave a review on my page saying that I “ broke the item” “ and was “very arrogant “ and I charged a restocking fee. Horrible experience all together!! Only reason I'm giving a one start is because I'm not allowed to give zero.

The older lady behind window was soo rude to me. I didn’t do anything to her. The owner was in the back and saw everything and didn’t say anything. I was soo disappointed. Never going again I’m not sure if Dave the store building owner knows how his employees are tearing the customers . 0 starts but I had to put one to leave a review. Horrible customer service . Don’t go unless you want to be mistreated

I bought a camera a week ago and was reassured many times before buying that it worked. I left taking their word and spending money on it just to find out it didn’t work. I came back to get a refund and they didn’t accept it so I sold it back. They only offered 50% of what I paid in return because it didn’t work, even though they were the ones who sold it saying it worked. Don’t come here and spend time and money on this place. They are liars

We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your visit today. We checked the bottom of the bird specimen and found a $98 price tag that we were not aware of. Like many of our offerings, this specimen had another life prior to Dave's. This tag is not one of ours, but we will honor the price if you are still interested in this item.

UPDATE: This specimen sold for full asking price. But not to Sara.

Was looking for some specimens to add to my collection and heard about this place. I asked about a bird in one of the display cases. Price on bottom showed $48 but they told me a $100. Why have a tag then saying one thing then say a far higher and exaggerated price for a bird specimen? Asked about other specimens and they gave me far higher than value prices, they clearly don’t price reasonably at all.

Not sure what sort of violin with case she expected for $37.47.

You did not offer goods in present condition. If I had known everything that was wrong I would never of bought it cuz the costs of fixes on top of shipping and what I already played for it is more than a brand new skylark especially since it was only half the price of a brand new one. Keeps acting like he gave a great deal when it was only sold so cheap because he was getting rid of inventory. I'm so glad I didn't pay full price. I (they/them) expected someone to be honest about their advertising. Acts like its a great deal but my local pawn shop when they have violins in sells them for $40 regularly.
