This is the best store I have found here in Fort Worth, TX. Everything else is just commercialized! Just keep looking until you find it!

Great Texas themed antique store and museum. Must visit! Filled with western clothing, antique housewares, taxidermy, books, and Native American artifacts.

Great local shop. Lots of taxidermy. My favorite is who I've named Terry the cross-eyed mountain lion. I'd buy him if I had the money and display him proudly!

I made a detour after 4 years just to visit it again.
It is worth it.
It's a fully stocked antiques store.
With really everything possible. The prices are very, very fair for most items. Only a few items are significantly cheaper elsewhere.
The special thing is that everything is geared towards cowboys.
Whether you're looking for a knife, boots, hat or lasso. Or just a souvenir from Forth Worth and you don't know exactly what. Perhaps this store is the best place to start ... maybe you'll find what you're looking for here ...

Very cool Western Americana antique store. Absolutely every nook and cranny is filled with some sort of historical item or antique available for purchase. Ran by what we only saw were two employees, who were very nice, this business is filled with treasures that you can just walk around and enjoy looking at. What an awesome store filled with awesome stuff. I can't wait to go back.

Awesome western antique store that’s not filled with junk Chinese replicas. Tons of old taxidermy, skins and real western antiques. I wish I wasn’t flying home, I would fill a truck bed with cool old items!

Great place go you want but western stuff

The Crossed-Eyed Moose is one of the most Unique antique shops I've visited thus far in texas. It has so many items which you don't often see elsewhere. The owner was so lovely and his voice sounded like a western movie star which was awesome. There's a bit of everything there for everyone and lots of hanging items like wall art, framed work and animal sculptures to brighten up or make your place quite unique.
We purchased some old rail tickets which was awesome as we haven't found anything like those anywhere so we were very happy.
There's lots of tshirts, crockery, boots, licence plates, lamps, signs, books, clocks and so much more.
There's so many items to choose from in this store you won't be disappointed. Definitely recommend a visit and having a gander at the awesome stuff in store.

Welcoming, laid back, and there wasn't somebody following us around the store pressuring us to buy something, as other antique stores have done. The items in the store are really cool, unique, and mostly western motif. Lots of variety. It's a cool place to spend some time and money. I highly recommend!

This sister store of the Adobe Gallery and Frame shop is filled with an eclectic collection of daily life with emphasis on antiques. Be sure to give yourself ample time. The shelves and aisles are crammed full of wonderfully reminiscent  items.

It's been TOO long since I've been to the Crossed Eyed Moose! My last visit I found WAY too many things I loved!! If you're hankering for some western style decor, a gift for someone who loves rustic, antique &/or anything from working cowboy "stuff" to cowboy chic.....you'll probably find something in this store. Coming back in October, can't wait!

Not entirely sure if the goods are overpriced, but the selection of taxidermy and other Western goods is diverse for a quaint shop. Quality? See the pictures and judge for yourself.

Cool place, all kinds of collectibles.  You could  stay for a long time and  not see everything.  They also have the world famous 12 inch tall toilet , in brown. It's worth going to this place.

Western antiques with eclectic selection -- handsome leather saddles and boots, to plaques with funny sayings. Fun vintage country music plays in the background. Wide selection of large animal pelts and related decor (cowhide pillows, zebra lamp, and be prepared to see many actual stuffed large animals up close and overhead).

Nice little eclectic shop.  Note the antique cash register that is hand crank operated.

We enjoyed the vibes of this store and bought a few things. Mostly pretty laid back, though the reason I docked a star was because we clearly weren't wanted in there when we visited. When we entered the store, the door was open so we just walked right in not knowing that they were about to close in just a few minutes. The guy who rang us up made it clear that they wanted to go home, which I totally understand, but instead of a friendly reminder he had a very "get the hell out" tone in his voice which was disappointing, and ultimately soured the experience of their store in the end. Regardless, we love the turtle shell and snake skin we purchased.

They have some really nice stuff, but the prices are outrageous. Expect to pay $150+ for a small animal pelt here (i.e. skunk), when they can be purchased elsewhere, of comparable quality, for much cheaper ($20-$50).

It's worth a stop to look at, though!

Lots of western antiques, taxidermy etc. Interesting collection; but prices are high.

It had alot of neat stuff but I  couldn't trust anything it sold as antiques since it was selling "antiques" flasks covered in cowhide that I know for a fact aren't antiques, even discounting the made in China sticker they missed on the bottom of one.

Cool stuff, just super pricy. It's definitely a fun walk through.

i really wanted to visit this store. first of all, there’s hardly any street parking. if you can’t find street parking you have to park in a gravel lot and you have to pay to park there. also lots of sketchy guys standing around in that lot. so i park in another lot that says “parking for cross eyed moose customers”. some lady comes out of the store and tells me it’s private parking and i can’t park there. i explain im there for the store. she is adamant i can’t park there. so i just leave. very overwhelming, you can’t even see to get out of the parking lot and i had to just hope no cars were coming. absolutely terrible just to park there. i don’t recommend. really wanted to visit the store but the parking makes it impossible.

Overpriced tourist trap. Don't even bother.

I completely agree with Dzenana Ramovic. If you are of a minority demographic or happen to be foreign, steer clear from this place. If you want to feel very uncomfortable, then by all means, enjoy this place. No one seems to be mentioning the staggering amount of racist memorabilia here, including many "Indian heads", a life-sized Native American doll sitting right at the entrance with a sign saying "Elizabeth Warren's Meemaw", three proudly draped Confederate flags, etc. When I walked in I immediately felt something off in the large man's gaze, and I had never felt that before. The owner never acknowledged me, but acknowledged my white friend, as she talked to a man wearing a Trump rally t-shirt. I wanted to get out as fast as possible. I can't believe Fort Worth still condone's this mindset, under the guise of holding on to "antique culture". This place made me very uncomfortable.

There are a lot of cool things here, but the man at the register was not very friendly. He heard us speaking another language and automatically changed his facial expression. We were super nice and said "thank you Sir" when leaving, and he had a hard time even looking at us, much less saying thanks back. I saw right off the bat that he didn't like that we were foreign and decided not to buy anything there.
