I am thrilled with both the beautiful rug purchased for my client and the service provided by Annie at the Decorative Center location. She was incredibly helpful and went beyond to find the rug in the size that we needed in a very timely manner. She offered several suggestions to make the rug a perfect fit for my client's room. I will definitely be going back to have Annie help me with future projects.

Did a great job cleaning my rugs after the Memorial Day 2015 flood and again after Hurricane Harvey.

I recently engaged Abrahams to repair a hundred year old Kazakh 8’ x 5’ rug. I had a young dog in the house. We left him alone in the house one afternoon. Instead of chewing his toys, he decided to eat the corners of my rug. The dog did a lot of damage that had to be reweaved. The rug also looked to have some sun damage having been in the same location in our house for quite some time, and I wanted it to be cleaned. I had no idea who to go to to repair a rug. I guess the internet is your friend so I started searching for shops. I made my list and started driving by and looking at stores. I went to several locations before selecting Abrahams. Abrahams has 2 locations, one on Post Oak and another near the University Village off Kirby. I first met Mrs. Abraham at the Post Oak location. I showed her my rug. She referred me to her husband Sam as the expert. I then met Sam the next day. Sam assured me that the rug was a valuable rug. He could clean it, repair it and then appraise it. He said it would take between 6 and 8 weeks. We agreed on a price, $1900. I checked in every couple of weeks. The rug was repaired to my satisfaction. You could not tell which corners had been chewed. And after the cleaning, what looked like sun damage was less noticeable. There are several reasons I selected Abrahams, mainly because the other stores were trying to take advantage of me. • Abrahams was affordable. I had quotes up to twice what Abrahams charged me from other stores. • Abrahams was fast. I had others tell me it might take up to 6months to a year to do the work. • I had a couple of shops that said I should just cut the rug back, shrink it and resew the bindings. As far as I was concerned, this would destroy the value of the rug • One guy told me my rug was nothing special and not worth the repairs. • I ignored the shop with going out of business sign. I also ignored the shop that was located in the antique store. Most of the other stores seemed to want to size me up and just see how much money they could take me for. Abrahams seemed to be the only honest shop I talked with. I am satisfied and intend to be a repeat customer.

Sam has always been my go to, whenever I have needed rugs, etc. So when the 2015 flood happened all my rugs went to someone else besides Abraham's because I ended up in the hospital. A friend called Restoration Cleaners to pick up my Persian rugs & draperies. What a MISTAKE, they ruined almost everything. I later called Sam Abraham to try to help salvage my loved rugs. He personally was right there for me, ready & willing to help with whatever I needed!!! What a wonderful relief. Then, again, with the 2016 & especially the 2017 flood & all my storage units flooded, Sam was right there to help again. He again personally called to keep me updated & was willing to do what I needed. Here in Houston, we live in a very large town, but with wonderful people like Sam & a store like Abraham's, I feel we live in a small town with our friends & neighbors taking care of each other. Sam will be the one I call when I am ready to furnish rugs for a new house. Sam Abraham has been an invaluable resource for us for over 25 years. We have purchased several oriental rugs from him and have always received knowledgeable and fair guidance with our selections and prices. Each rug purchased from Abraham's came with a detailed appraisal, and, when requested, Abraham's has provided updated estimates. I cannot recommend their service highly enough. After Hurricane Harvey, Abraham's staff got to our home as quickly as possible and did a thorough and complete cleaning, and where needed, restoration of our rugs. Sam Abraham has personally met with the insurance appraisers on our behalf and provided thorough documentation for each rug, He even helped appraise and document an inherited rug that was not purchased through his company. His dedication, attention to detail, and knowledge have earned our utmost respect and trust.

I bought my first Rug from Sam Abraham thirty years ago my most recent three months ago. A number of his beautiful rugs decorate our house. Abrahams are honest and provide tremendous variety. The repair work and cleaning is top notch. Most importantly, you can trust him and his staff.

My wife and I have been totally satisfied with our dealings with Abrahams Oriental Rugs. We have purchased two magnificent and old rugs there. Mr Abraham made it very pleasant and easy for us to see and try out a number of rugs, and have been very respectful and understanding of our preferences and never made us feel pressured in any way. We got extremely good prices. There is also a very wide choice including more exotic old tribal rugs, beautiful serapis, as well as more modern rugs, so there is something there for every taste.

I have had three rugs cleaned by Abrahams. They have done a wonderful job and are very polite and kind to work with. For two of the rugs, they even made new pads for me. The pads fit perfectly and prevent the rugs from sliding around. They moved my furniture carefully and thoughtfully and worked great as a team inside my house. My rugs no longer have pet stains and smells on them and look brand new!
