Fun place to go play with friends. It's always fun to see friendly faces once a week. Tim, the clerk is nice friendly guy always helps find what I'm looking for overall awesome place to hangout.

Came into the store recently was looking for gift ideas and the taller guy was very helpful and patient.

The staff has always been helpful and kind too me and I enjoy the atmosphere the store and its customer base creates

Great place with a convenient location. In my experience, about 10% cheaper than anywhere else. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff that will take care of you.

They have a great collection of comics and colectibles. They also have a great selection of cards such as Yugioh, pokemon and morr. It is a great place to set up a card game.

Never had a single problem here and the man who usually works most days is helpful and strait to the point.

Always cool to vibe at and engage about more than just comics. Been coming for years and never feels stale or a worn out welcome

It's great, it has lots of comics and figures, the only thing is it will have them from book 4, but no 1 or 2, and it's kinda hard to find what I want. Other than that it's amazing and I've gone a few times 👍

Edit. Alright to add, yes the way things are stocked and put is kind of confusing, but the people that work there have helped me out with no discrimination or talked down on me, as a trans man that's hard to come by, but they're respectful and most of them are well versed in the content and have real stuff to suggest and things.

Did not go physically, but wanted to share my experience over the phone; was looking for a particular item and Shauna was an AWESOME lady who sat with me on the phone for a solid 10-15 minutes looking online with me and helping me source it. They might not have had it themselves but their staff went above and beyond to help me out - I will definitely make them my first call anytime I need anything comic related! Thanks Shauna/DNA gang!

I wish customers didn't over buy boxes of yugioh. Casual buyers show up and they can't buy any, because the buyer before bought 10 boxes. No hate. But think of others.

Being perfectly honest here, I've never been when it wasn't almost at close so I've never met the management or experienced customer service at peak hours. That being said, the variety of products seems limited due to the amount of open table space for trading card games and table top RPGs, so the store feels empty a lot of the time.
Now, for my (probably very specific to me) complaints. First, they have a rather limited collection of the more valuable and hard to find Magic The Gathering cards, kind of expected actually. Second, The variety of dice for table top RPGs is a bit low, since they carry only 2-3 brands of dice. Lastly, I don't actually have 3 complaints, I just wanted to use the whole "first secondly, and lastly" thing.

This place has so much cool stuff. But my favorite is the cards. It's pretty fun to just go there and sort through them once in a while. Plus the guy that works there right now is awesome.

Their card game sections is just AWESOME, I'm a Weiss Schwarz playera and I have never before seen such a great collection in one store....The staff is attentive and kind. They even held two of my decks after I accidentally left them so I could pickup later! (They saved me over $100!) My friends and I will definitely go back next time we stop by Houston!

This place has a great selection of Harley Quinn books. Also I went to school with a guy who works here and he's super nice. He ended up taking me to the movies. About a month later we had sex. And now we've been together for about a year. Talk about great customer service. 😉

Great atmosphere and helpful staff. The card games always seem fun I just wish the staff would tell some of the participants in the card games to watch the profanity.

One worker to help everyone that stopped in while we were there. They have a big selection of comics and cards.  Plenty of tables to play.

The guys are extremely reserved but I attribute that to being nerds and comic oriented people but they are NOT rude. They are verrrry knowledgeable about any questions I have (not a comic gal at all). We go to play cards Monday nights with my boys and man, do they need a strong deodorizer. Also, PLEASE clean the bathrooms.

Very unique comic store. They have a lot of merchandise and some items other stores don't have. Prices are always sensible, too. Sure the staff can be a little quick or sometimes unhelpful, but overall I really enjoy coming here every now and then.

Been here several times as it's right down the street from me. Recently the worker there, taller feller, has been very rude. Acts as if asking simple questions is a bother to him. Decided that going to other stores is more worth while than to be treated as an annoyance.

Youst to come in all the time and buy drinks and cards , most recently I haven't been to the store in a while but I decided to go in and see what's up I came whit a homegirl who's not a big comic fan but she tagged along apparently I looked like a "noob who wants invincible comics" just because I was dressed nice i guess idk , but yeah I'm more of a need than the cashier and she was just rude so she made a bad impression on my friend and just made me feel unwelcomed , I've had other people visit the store with their kids and I get the same news , it's uninviting and they're rude

This is like my third favorite comic store. It's usually kinda packed during games and such but the comics are organized. I usually get nervous talking to the workers because it's loud though. Nice prices and organized is the point.

Solid neighborhood comic shop. Professionally run. Plenty of gaming tables and a decent selection of merch. I little tricky getting in the parking lot, but they keep late hours. Snacks available. A good alternative to Bedrock or gaming stores, if you're in the area.

No one talked to us the entire time we were here, which was very unhelpful to me trying to find things for me and my daughter. But they did have good things inside.

Not so big on yugioh stuff which is what I was looking for. They seem to be pokemon magic focused. I fell like most card shops in houston are though. Anyway went through their commons the have a lot of second wave flowandereeze stuff. I remember seeing a lot of rising rampage commons so if I need those they have them for sure.

Very friendly shop, it was super unorganized but then the place began to clean up and now its a great place to get old and new books. Its only a 3 star because I had a subscription there and they consistently made mistakes. I would get books damaged (no biggie), I would get books that I canceled(like months after I canceled them) and I would special order statues and they would mark the statue up 40%.(claimed that every store did it). The staff is very cool and always had time to answer any questions.

This is a store for the regular customer,  good luck getting the attention of the guy behind the counter if you are not a regular. Used to go every few months and stoped for a year until a friend asked me for my help since he wanted to play yugioh again. Same service. Even if it's just you are the only person in line it's difficult getting their attention. Gave 3 stars since they have some nice things in the store, though average prices.

Stopped by recently, place was dark and dim no greeting from the employee even though I was the only one there. Employee was rude and unwelcoming definitely won’t be coming here again.

Alright comic store. Sells out fast of newest card drops but that’s to be expected. Typically rude service though. Consistently rude service actually. Think Simpsons comic book guy but not in a good way

I’m sorry that we missed you. Unfortunately we were running a tournament and helping other customers. Your review has been shared with the team for improvement. I hope we meet your needs in future visits. 

It's pretty sad when you go to the shop and wanna buy some stuff or have questions when the staff isn't even behind the counter to help. I went on a Sunday and all of the staff were busy playing card games with other customers instead of helping the people who are actually shopping around and standing at the cases wanting to see stuff behind the counters. They seemed like they couldn't be bothered to do anything but play games and sit at the tables and ignore the phones and customers. I remember going to DNA when it was in deerbrook mall still and it was a much better experience then, I sadly won't ever be coming back. It was nice while it lasted.

I stop in here occasionally to pick up yugioh cards. Prices are fair, however the customer service seems nonexistent. The guy that works days is not very friendly and it seems like my presence is always a bother. From what I have read, the rest of the staff seems good, so going in the evening might be a safer bet for future customers.

The staff here is unfriendly.  Especially the day guy don't expect to be greeted or acknowledged it would interrupt his reading. They have a good selection of cards, collectibles, and new books.  There is also a good catalog of older books although you may never find what you are looking for. Older books are so disorganized you can't find anything.  Some of the boxes are labeled but if you look inside you will almost definitely not find what you are looking for.  Better to grab a random box and search, odds are the same you'll find it.  Just seems like if you had that much inventory you'd probably like to be able to move it and make money.  Seems like if the staff has time to sit and read or play on their phones they would have time to help customers and organize the store.  In conclusion if you want a new book and just don't want to drive stop in but give them a little time after opening so they can sort and put out books or you'll have to wait and whatever you do don't inconvenience whoever is working by asking a question.   If you want good service, older books, and new books at opening on release day go ahead and make the drive to another shop you won't regret it.

I used to come here frequently years ago when I lived in Houston, and it was always an enjoyable experience. I visited a few days ago for the first time in years, and I gotta say, something went wrong.

While the store still had a decent variety of comics, toys, and other things, the service was non-existant. No one greeted my wife and I, and we were pretty much ignored the whole time we were there.

There are better comic stores in Houston, in my opinion. I'd pass on this place, unless they really step up the customer service game.

It's okay. There's lots of comics to choose from prices are expected. Customer service said to say was fairly poor. When the cashier question about a deck of cards he just stared and didn't respond then repeated the question and got a one-word answer. Doesn't seem very beginner-friendly for someone who's starting a card game. My husband and I will just get our cards from some where else so we  don't have to deal with rudeness.

FAKE NEWS! We are selling new Pokemon booster boxes at $249, never $270. Unfortunately Pokemon product is extremely limited and allocated, if you didn’t know. We are buying product on the secondary market to ensure we can stock product at MARKET price. We will buy as many Journey Together booster boxes as possible at $175 if you care to resell to us. The market price is currently around $270 on Amazon.

Terrible customer service. Clerk with glasses talks down to you as if you are an inconvenience to his day. Save your time and money. Go elsewhere or buy online.

Walked in and looked arouns the store for 15 to 20 minutes. There was a guy behind the counter and several people in the atore but not once did anyone say anything ask me if i needed anything etc. So i left and wont be back.

I came here sometime in December looking for ideas for a secret Santa gift for a very nerdy guy. I needed some guidance since I had never even heard of most of what the guy was into. I walked in, and there were two men in the store and nobody else. Both looked up at me, then looked back down. No help at all. I even thought for a second they were just patrons, but no, one of them answered the phone and ran in the back. I didn't stay long. No need to come here again.

I’m sorry that we missed you as we were helping another customer at the register. Typically when I need help from a clerk that is busy with other customers, I’ll wait in line for assistance. Surveillance video was reviewed of you and your friend and shared with our team to be more effective with waiting customers. 

I want to say this is the worst experience I have ever had at a shop, I walked in no greeting, I was looking around the shop, and no one asked if I needed help, when I was at the older books section no one came to help the conversation at the register was more important than business and the game the other employee was in was also more important. I'll just stick to other shops from now on.

The only time I have been asked to stay away from a cash register in my life, has been when head judging events for the owner. I do not recommend judges work for him.
The owner as well pays his judge staff unevenly, and threatened to report judges to Konami for not wanting to work for low pay.
(He then proceeded to be caught in a lie on how much he can/does pay. Yes, I still have the screenshots)
When looking at food options to feed judge staff, it was suggested we share a 20 count of McNuggets for the four of us.
I judge to give back to the community, to help create a welcoming environment for new, and seasoned players.
That environment is never present with DNA comics. The employees try their best to do good, but the owner is indefensible.

The staff is very rude. I went in to sell maybe 10-15 of my more valuable yugioh cards because i do not play the game anymore and was told on the phone that they WOULD look at them with NO ISSUE. Sat in almost a hours worth of traffic to get there and when i told them that i called them i was immediately dismissed by a member of the staff and told to look at their buylist. I voiced my concern and was then finally helped once i had to raise my voice and stand my ground. The worker that did look at my cards was friendly and helped me immediately. After i was given my money the first worker proceeded to interrogate me on when i called the store about selling said cards. Why does it matter? Im bringing YOU business. I had considered buying a Flesh and Blood box but after being treated poorly i will gladly take my business and their cash to a store that actually respects its customers.

Very rude and lazy customer service! I came to buy/sell magic cards and immediately the clerk rudely barked to "go online and look at the buy list..." I was going to ask if he had the list AT THE STORE but I could he didn't want to even do his job and actually interact with people he'd rather sit on his phone! Great way to deter customers by cutting them off with "go to our online website...." when I took my time and gas to actually go to the brick and mortar store. The place was dead anyway and the clerk was not busy with any customers. If I could give zero stars i would! Never going to DNA again! Go to Bedrock Comics

My daughter and I used to come here to buy Pokemon cards here all the time. I'd always ignore the fact that our presence always seemed to be an inconvenience to whoever was working the counter so long as we could browse the Pokemon Singles in peace. A few months ago we went back to shop when we noticed that the only singles they offered on the counter were Yugioh cards. Tons of them but no more Pokemon. I looked over the counter to see boxes labeled "Pokemon" and asked the sales clerk if we could take a look. He told me that they don't do that anymore and if I wanted to see them I had to see them on their website. Very convenient. I eventually go to the website because no other local shop offer Pokemon singles. I create a wish list and a buy list of cards that the shop has listed that they will purchase in exchange for store credit. Mind you i live just a few miles away and I'm sure it wouldn't be impossible to do this over the counter. I email my list of what I have to offer and the shop responds a little over a week later. They approved my buy list just in time for me to leave for work. A few days go by and I email back asking if I can just drop the cards off. I told that my buy list has been canceled due to untimely delivery. Are you serious? This place is a joke. We gave this place a chance even though it was gonna be extremely inconvenient and they still let us down. I highly recommend you look elsewhere.

Poor customer service. Seemed like they did not want to engage the customer. Came to sell some of my old cards and scout out a potential place to play in the near future. I had never been to a game shop before and wanted to know how they treat new players. Based on what I saw, my card buyer was completely fake and dishonest. I came with the intention of supporting the game shop (YouTube convinced me of this), and did not mind selling my cards for less than what they are worth. But I knew exactly how much my cards are worth before coming, based on TCGplayer.  I pretended to not know much and he took advantage of that, offering less than 20% of their value. I know I said I wanted to support the shop, and that is why I accepted the offer, but he did not have to call the cards worthless and tried to pretend my cards aren’t worth anything just to pay less for them. Needless to say I will not be returning here. I wouldn’t be surprised if he cheats, seems like a good liar.

I've been to this place a few times, and it's always the same. Either the customer service is very poor, or nonexistent. The time before my most recent visit, I was accused of stealing cards because I walked outside. I've been to many comic/game shops in the area, and this is by far the worst one. I haven't heard a single person say anything positive about it.
